The Wednesday Question

Happy First Day of Spring!

What's your favorite affordable springtime fragrance, lotion, or body wash?

It seems like every year around this time, I love to bust out my fresh, floral-scented products. Right now I cannot get enough of Demeter Magnolia. It's Spring in a bottle! (Demeter did not give me this product -- I am just a huge fan.)

  1. I'm not a huge fan of floral fragrances but I do love Alfred Sung Jewel, many escada fragrances, and bath and body works malibu heat in the spring/summer. Jewel is the most floral of anything I will wear. It is actually my mom's perfume but I like it :$

  4. I love citrus scents this time of year, especially when we've had such a long late winter! I've been reaching for my Qtica grapefruit body wash and lemon sugar scrub. Fresh!

  7. At a recent trip to Target I discovered Bodycology's Spring Rain Blossom & I'm in love with it. I also like BBW's Wild Garden collection (last year's Wild Berry Tulips & Wild Citrus Sunflower and this year's Wild Peach Poppies). My late mother used to love the scent of lilacs, so I will often wear Demeter Lilac, just because the scent reminds me of her.

  8. I recently got Pacifica Malibu Lemon Blossom, and it's perfect for the spring/summer. Another (sadly discontinued) warmer months frag I lovvve is Victoria's Secret Breathless. Philosophy Pure Grace is so gentle and clean, but they stopped making it in Parfum form...sadly the edt lasts all of 5 mins on me. G. I never got the chance to sniff Demeter Magnolia, but for this time of year I love the Honeysuckle and the Lilac. Really curious about the magnolia now... I also really like Yves Rocher Comme Une Evidence for a lighter frag.

    1. Lush makes a scent called Tuca Tuca that is very va-va violet. Rite Aid also carries a violet based spritz that I think is actually marketed as a "baby perfume" called 3 violets, or something like that...its a pale purple coloured liquid in a plastic spray bottle.

    2. *correction: I just made a stop a Rite Aid for a B-day card for my mom and noticed that the violet cologne I thought was 3 violets is actually called Royal Violets by Agustin Reyes® I ended up picking it up for my mother as a little something extra for her birthday...she loves all things violet and lilac. :)

I just discovered those last july during semi-annual sale. But I'm in NY so I'm still wearing winter scents such as winter candy apple and twilight woods. My year round perfume oa vera wang princess. LOVE IT!

  15. Can can by paris hilton smells like slightly spicy candy with a dry down of vanillay cotton candy. My boyfriend really likes me smelling like cotton candy. So I spray one spritz of cancan and then a cotton candy body spray. That way I smell like cotton candy the entire time. :)

  16. I haven't worn it;or even seen it, in a while, but smelling an orange tree recently reminded me of 4711. The original "cologne" It's a lovely cooling citrus scent, perfect for hot days. It doesn't become overpowering as the heat increases. I may have to track some down!

    1. I love 4711 in the summer, or to wear to bed. I got my bottle at Sears last summer. Totally some neroli/orange blossom in there.

  17. I love the lemin vanilla from bbw. The Can Can from Paris Hilton sounds good...but I refuse to buy anything with her name in it! Does anyone remember Alfred Sung Spa? I wish I could find something close to it.
