Well I totally dropped the ball this year, Nouvettes. I really, REALLY wanted to do another reader-submitted St. Patrick's Day manicure round-up, but I've got so much going on behind the scenes right now (which will be revealed soon, I promise) that I just couldn't get it together. Hopefully we can do one for Easter though, like last year's!
And speaking of last year's reader-submitted manicure roundups, take a peek at the 2012 St. Patrick's Day manicure roundup here if you need some "nail-spiration" today!
I did a quick and easy manicure for St. Patrick's Day 2013. Here's what I used:
Polishes used:
Santee Vikini Green (base color)
Nailene French Manicure Polish (small polka dots)
Zoya Ivanka (large polka dots)
Out The Door Northern Lights Holographic Top Coat (top coat)
Tools used:
LA Girl Dotting Tool (reviewed here)
e.l.f. $1 Concealer Brush (for clean-up)
Keep reading to see how it turned out!
I absolutely love how this turned out. Santee Vikini Green reminds me of a shamrock shake, and I love the extra "blingy-ness" that the holographic top coat gives the overall look, without distorting the colors of the other polishes.
Thanks for reading, and I would absolutely love to hear what you're wearing on your nails today!
That is adorable!
ReplyDeleteI dropped the ball too unfortunately. I'm wearing Essie Bikini so teeny!! Oops maybe next year!!
ReplyDeleteLove this, and love your skill with the dots!
ReplyDeleteCute! Looks minty fresh too ;-)
ReplyDeleteSo cute and so fun! The Northern Lights top coat is like the cherry on top :) My St. Pat's mani is plain-jane compared to yours! I took advantage of Ulta's "21 Days of Beauty" Friday and bought a bottle of Butter London's British Racing Green (only $9!) and I love it.
ReplyDeleteI was looking at the pictures and scrolling down thinking, that looks like a shamrock shake...yumm...I want a shamrock shake...lol And, then I read you thought so too! LOL Very cute!
ReplyDeleteAdorable. I have been wondering whether to try that holographic top coat or not. I think you convinced me.
ReplyDeleteYou totally should! I have this one too, it's lovely.
DeleteWearing Sally Hansen Greige Gardens haha! so not in festive nail attire but oh well.
ReplyDeleteAdorable! I just did the count and realized that I used 7 polishes for my St. Paddy's Day manicure. Whoops!
ReplyDeleteSo adorable!!!! Great job!
ReplyDeleteI've got Essie "Mojito Madness", with gold sharpie half moons, and Sephora OPI "It's real" 18k gold top coat on top!
ReplyDeleteSo cute!
ReplyDeleteOoooh that's beautiful! One of these days I should actually use my dotting tool. ;)
ReplyDeleteBeautifully done. That holographic top coat makes the look so much better.
ReplyDeleteAn awesome green!
ReplyDeleteLove the mani, and that beautiful pastel green! I'm wearing SC Green Ocean over a dark green, it looks amazing. :)
ReplyDeleteYour nails are to cute.
ReplyDeleteLove this manicure! It's very cute!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute!!!
ReplyDeleteI did a green with gold glitter ombre and it looked great. I kept getting compliments.
ReplyDeleteVery cute! I didn't do my nails for the day, I've been too busy with work and birthdays (I have, kid you not, three friends, a boyfriend, and a sister with birthdays from the 10th to the 19th). I just threw on a green shirt and called it good.
ReplyDeleteI did do a pre-holiday blog post featuring a green polish, though.
Amazing :)
ReplyDeleteNow that's a very cute mani!!!
ReplyDeleteI love this! I played with some greens applied spatter-like with saran wrap and topped with Sinful Colors' Green Ocean, but this is so much prettier!
ReplyDeleteIt's super cute! Love it! And now I totally want a shamrock shake! :P
