It's Fashion Week again, so it's time to bring you my usual coverage of drugstore/mass brands that are being used this week on the runways.
Let's kick things off with how Revlon's Global Artistic Director, Gucci Westman, used current (and soon-to-be-released) Revlon products for the Lisa Perry Fall 2013 Show. It's always fun to read these press releases to see what new products are on the horizon for 2013 (spoiler alert: new PhotoReady Kajal Intense Eyeliner + Brighteners coming this June!) take a look...
Revlon Global Artistic Director, Gucci Westman’s Bold Eye for Lisa Perry’s Fall ’13 Presentation at New York Fashion Week
Wednesday, February 6, 2013
WHO: Revlon Global Artistic Director, Gucci Westman, backstage at Lisa Perry
WHAT: Revlon Global Artistic Director, Gucci Westman, captured designer Lisa Perry’s vision of a modern girl’s take on the popular mod look of the 60’s, to complement the bright and vibrant designs of the designer’s Fall ’13 collection.
“I wanted to create a look that complimented Lisa’s clothing, something playful with strong references to the 1960’s,” says Westman. “I focused on the eyes and went for something retro. To make it a bit more contemporary and modern I opted for bright colored liners in blues and purples, rather than black and added shadow on top for an extra pop. I kept the skin simple and natural and created subtle freckles on the nose with a nude pencil.”

We have to wait till October for the primer/shadow?!?
ReplyDeleteI thought the eye looks here were really awful, especially that "reverse crease".
Agree about the eyes, that's what my oily lids look like when my liner smudges! I do like the polish, I wore Provence last summer and it's very fresh looking. I am looking forward to her spring/summer collection -except maybe for the blue shadow(not good on my eyes ).
ReplyDeleteA bit OT, but Does anybody know the name of the model in the fourth photo? I see her everywhere, but I don't know her name!!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
Uggh, it looks like a child did the hair and makeup :( Not flattering imo.
ReplyDeleteLol!
Deletewheres the lipstick to pull it all together? peach or beige lip would have rocked it.
