Last year on the Nouveau Cheap Facebook page we were having a chat about how tired I was of always addressing you, the readers of Nouveau Cheap, as my "lovelies." Don't get me wrong; I think it's a sweet way to address you in my posts, and I like to address you as something instead of just "readers" because I feel like we're a little family at this point, with many of you hanging out with me here for several years now.
So I opened it up and asked you to help me come up with a better term of endearment, and I was flooded with some amazing ideas. I then took the most popular ideas and put them in the poll, which I left up on the right-hand sidebar for a month.
The winner, with 2,047 votes, is Nouvettes, which I believe was originally submitted by reader Susan on Facebook. The only close runner-up was Cheeps (1,772 votes).
So from here on out, whenever I feel the need to address you in my posts, I'll use Nouvettes, which I think is adorable (I hope you do too!).

OMG, my dad gave me a coffee mug for Christmas with my blog logo on it (how sweet, huh?) and it's a TRIP to drink coffee in the morning and see my little piggy on something *besides* my blog. :D

I consider "Nouvette" like "Corvette"...not gender-specific. :D In fact, some readers originally suggested something ending with "ista" like "budgetista" and I said that I didn't want to use anything that would be gender-specific like that, because I would never want my male readers to feel excluded.
