I've got a little favor to ask of you today!
The members of this little Nouveau Cheap community are looooong overdue for a cute nickname, don't ya think? Until now, I've referred to you, the best readers on the planet, as "my lovelies" which is a sweet term of endearment to be sure, but I want something more...something cuter...something catchy and unique.
So back in the beginning of December, I asked those of you who follow me on Facebook for some ideas, and you did NOT disappoint! In fact, you came up with so many awesome names that I decided to take the most popular suggestions and put them to a vote, here on the blog.
If you look to your right, you'll see that I've created a poll on the sidebar. I'll leave it open for a few weeks because I want YOU to decide what your nickname shall be, forever more! So pretty please with a cherry on top cast your vote. And thank you SO much to everyone who contributed ideas!
PS: some of the nicknames are self-explanatory, but some need a little explanation so here we go:
Cheeps is a play on "peeps"
Neeps is a combination of "nouveau" and "peeps" but it's also a type of turnip (cute, huh?)
Cheapeeps is a combination of "cheap" and "peeps"
Cheeps. Cheepskates for more formal usage? XP

The 'cheep' like ones sound the same as saying "cheap". Which when used to describe a person is usually not an endearing term. Lol! "Hey cheap ladies!" Nahhh!
The 'Neep' like ones sound like "nips". "Hey nips! Been a chilly dec., eh?" Nahhh!
Also, Nouvettes is classy, feminine, cute, yet adult at the same time. Nouvettes actually sound like a group of sassy women! Def got y vote!
It's really fun how u made this post interactive, and really involved us (hopefully) Nouvettes in the process!!

ReplyDelete'Round here 'neeps is a slang term for, um, *ahem when its cold and your bra is too thin -or just when its cold out we say: "It's freakin' Neeps out man!" So I'm not sure how I feel bout that one (I can't get that image outa my head! lol) :) I liked the nouvies suggestion! So I'll vote Nouvettes or Nouvellas I Spose!
