I certainly didn't intend to have a lip product theme going this week, but sometimes these things come in cycles!
Reader Emma spotted the new limited edition Chapstick Cupcake Creations lip balms at Walgreens this week and was nice enough to share (reader clisa also spotted them at Walgreens this week, so they should be coming to a store near you soon--if they're not there already!). Take a peek:

I never found the Holiday 2012 LE Chapsticks in my area (and I really, really wanted the Apple Cider one), but you can be sure that I will scour every Walgreens in the San Diego area until I find Velvet Cupcake. It will be mine...oh yes...it will be mine!
Have you spotted/purchased either of these yet? Thoughts?
Thanks so much, Emma, for the great sighting and pics (and new lemmings)!
I cannot wait for these to be in stores. I love anything that has to do with cupcakes!
ReplyDeleteIf I'm on a no-makeup buy... Do lip balms still count as makeup products? These just intrigue me so much!
ReplyDeleteI can officially confirm that lip balms do not count for no-buys. ;)
DeleteHahaha...enabler! I want Cake Batter. I was on hiatus from Wags, but now I must stay in tuned for a deal. (I missed the Holiday flavors too!)
DeleteLE's do not count either.. so you are doubly good to go.
DeleteI second that! Lip health is not make up! :)
DeleteIf you live in the northern hemisphere, it's the middle of winter and you should be buying all the lip balms and chapsticks you can find!
DeleteMe oh my, those look yummyyyy! I can't wait to get my hands on those!
ReplyDeleteWell, my weekend will be spent hunting down the cake batter one. I just saw the apple cider one at my local Walgreens, and almost got it, but wasn't feeling "cidery" that day.
ReplyDeleteI remember seeing the holiday ones at Walmart. As of like two weeks ago they still had a ton of them and I'm on the east coast.
ReplyDeleteI need these!!!!
ReplyDeleteI have my heart set on that cake batter one! I too hope to see them in my area.
ReplyDeleteI'll be on the look out for these.
ReplyDeleteI picked up the Apple Cider ones @Target on clearance, also my mom found them at Walmart.
Whaaat. I was at walgreens today but didn't know to look for these!
ReplyDeleteI was lemming for the holiday Apple Cider too, and my dad actually spotted them at Walmart and bought me FIVE. 4 of them are still unopened if you want one/all...
ReplyDeleteI just purchased the Apple Cider Chapstick (In a three pack at Target's clearance section) G and for me it was a bust. It appears that Chapstick is too waxy for my lips and doesn't provide moisture or lock in moisture. I think I rather stick with my Nivea/Labello Kiss of Moisture and keep it moving.
ReplyDeleteNeed now please
ReplyDeleteummmmmm gonna hunt these down tomorrow and buy like 10 of each when i find them lol
ReplyDeleteWow those look so fun!
ReplyDeleteOMG! These are awesome! I cannot wait to buy the Red Velvet!!!
ReplyDeleteOmg! I must hunt these down, even though I already have tons of lip balms ;)
ReplyDeleteI so hope I can find these!
ReplyDeleteOh my. I want all of these.
ReplyDeleteOmg are you quoting waynes world? If so then your even cooler now :)
ReplyDeleteMust.Have.These. I was at 3 different Walgreens stores yesterday hunting down the WnW Take On The Day Eyeshadow Primer (found it at the 3rd store) and I did not notice these. I did scan the lip balms at one location only because I happened to be in that aisle anyway. I guess I'm going back this weekend :-)
ReplyDeletePS, G-I've spotted the holiday flavors at a local Target(I bought a 3 pack of the Candy Cane from Target) and I think they still have them. I believe the Apple Cider flavor is still available at Walmart. But they're near the checkout aisles, and not with the regular lip balm displays.
MMMM.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy the ones I bought this winter. While they do not provide enough moisture for serious lip issues, they are perfect to top my lipstick on the go, and I find they are one of the few lip balms that do not break down my long wear lip color. They also seem to do well inside the car without melting, unlike a lot of other brands.
I found the one of the collections at Walmart on a display stuck to the front of the cash register.. and the other at Walgreens on a display hanging from the side of the beauty counter, if that helps anyone.
I wasn't a fan of the Apple Cider one! I have seen it still though, if you want I'll send you one G! :)
ReplyDeleteI bought Candy Cane flavor Chapstick as soon as it came out! So now I will have to add this to my list of balms to get which has on it 2 more of Nivea Lip Butters and now these! I can justify this with the fact that it is miserably cold in Central New York
ReplyDeleteMust. Buy. These!!! My bf LOVES red velvet so this will definitely be a good buy ;)
ReplyDeleteAre these flavored or just scented? I found a red velvet cake lip tint on etsy that I'm in love with at the moment, but both of these sound awesome.
ReplyDeleteSaw both of these at Walgreens in Chicago. Cake Batter smells exactly like it and velvet cake smells like chocolate. I bought cake batter, YUM!
ReplyDeletereally? where in Chicago?? haven't seen them i am in the south side but i go close to the downtown area also....
DeleteI just checked at my local Walgreens in Uptown and they didn't have them. Please share where you found them. Thanks!
DeleteOMG I NEED Cake Batter.
ReplyDeleteAs for the Apple Cider Chapstick, within the past month my local Target had (3) packs of that flavor on clearance, so check there!
I scored these for $0.25 today at Walgreen's. I had to ask where they were, so ask someone if you don't see them. They had the following flavors: Candy Cane, Cake Batter, Red Velvet & Apple Cider. For $0.25 I bought all the flavors because even if I don't like them I can throw them in multiple places & always have a Chapstick n hand.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip off on these.
Wow! Must go get them!! Thanks for the tip
DeleteI must get the Red Velvet one.
ReplyDeleteI saw they had the 3-pack of Apple Cider ones at Target clearance for $1.49!!!
I must get the Red Velvet one.
ReplyDeleteI saw they had the 3-pack of Apple Cider ones at Target clearance for $1.49!!!
So going to look for these tonight.
ReplyDeleteYou had me at Cupcake...I am such a sucker for food scented lip products! I can't wait to find these!!
ReplyDeleteThis looks amazing! I've never seen them! I usually never buy Chapstick, but the apple cider one... so good!! & not overly cider-y, if that makes sense. So I'd buy these for sureeeee!
ReplyDeleteI can't use this brand, since its a protectant not a moisturizer, my lips dry out to quickly. This brand should only be worn when out in extreme weather then removed from your lips to avoid dryness.
ReplyDeleteI can't stress enough how GOOD the apple cider flavor is. I bought a backup for myself and a couple for my family. These limited edition ones have made me buy Chapstick again for the first time in at least a decade! Now I have to hunt down the new flavors...
