Revlon Moon Candy has landed (flakies!)

Remember back in April when I told you that Revlon was coming out with a line of flakie polishes called Moon Candy? Well, according to that post, these weren't supposed to hit drugstores until this August.

BUT...reader Jamie of Nails Adored  just spotted the display at her local Rite Aid and was nice enough to share!

Just like the Revlon crackle duos and frenchmix duos, these are double-ended polishes. The Moon Candy polishes come with a base color and a flakie top coat, and if they're anything like the other Revlon polish duos, they'll retail for around $8.99.

Thanks SO much, Jamie, for the fantastic pic and scoop!

  2. My heart is pounding! I hurt my foot (to the point that walking is painful) or I would get in my car and drive to my local Wags RIGHT NOW! I will wait until tomorrow, I suppose. But it's going to be hard.

I have been looking forward to this debut ever since I first learned of it in the posts and links mentioned above.

And I am not trying to "correct" you, G. because I don't want to be that way. But may I mention that there is another collection of duos made by Revlon without sounding like a Miss-Know-It-All? There is also a collection of neons (whereby you get a neon color on one end, and white polish-always white, not like the awesome variety I spy in the picture above- on the other end.) I bought some of this Neon collection, and there the display is still up, albeit looking rather picked-over, in my local Wags. So it is still quite recent. Many of your readers probably thought it was not too special. But I am just starting to get into polishes, so I liked the collection.

Thank you, thank you, thank you you made my day! Now I am going to click the link for pictures and drool some more.

Also, thank you to Jamie for sending you her scoop. I love the generous community that you have built here, G. !!!

    1. I actually posted pics of the Revlon neon duos a while back, but just forgot to mention them in my post, so thanks! :)

And thanks for all the kind words, hun. I REALLY appreciate that, and so sorry you hurt your foot, but I hope you find these at your Wags soon! Lol!

      *hugs*

    2. Success!!! I got all the ones I want tonight. It actually worked in my favor that my city never gets newness as quickly as other cities. Nothing was sold out once I finally felt well enough to stalk my Wags.

Now I will have to keep my eyes peeled for the other two duos that I see referenced in your original link. Eight are available now, but my greedy little eyes see TEN duos in the link. That means I must never let up my stalking. Mua ha ha ha!

  4. I have seen these bottles in the stores but didn't give them a good go-over to see if they are these. I'll be correcting that mistake this coming week! LOL!

Does anyone know how these compare with the Finger Paints Special FX?

  5. why are they coming out with these double ended polishes! For $8.99 it should be a full size flakey!!! That said I'll probably still have to buy some ;)

  7. Yea I also would've liked it if they just did regular full size bottles, that way I can have more flakie goodness!

Either way, I want to pick some up. The name "Moon Candy" is really cute too!

  10. i'm ready to flip some effing tables over these double sided bottles. HEY REVLON: MOST PEOPLE WHO CARE ABOUT FLAKIES ALREADY OWN CREMES TO LAYER THEM ON. CAPITAL LETTERS MAKE MY POINT MORE EFFECTIVE.

i'd probably go for these if it was full size flakies, but $9 for a half size and a creme color i already own? i'll pass.

    1. Agree!! I'll probably pass on these unless I can get a good coupon paired with a good sale.

  12. We get nothing like these in the UK from Revlon, we have only just got the ColorStay polishes. Very jealous, but ouch $9

  13. I want!! Too bad they don't come singly though! I don't really need the base polish.

  15. I think I'll wait for more reviews on the polish. I had so much trouble with the crackle versions.

  16. I think $7.99 (I believe that's how much my Rite Aid was pricing them) is a bit much for flakies that are basically mini sized. I approached the display and polishes more than once and I just can't get myself to buy them. I believe that Rite Aid has a BOGO 50% off nail polish this week so you will ultimately be paying $5.99 each...

  17. I just bought 2 of them today at Rite Aid without even realizing they were on sale! It was a pleasant surprise when I looked at my receipt. I got Moon Dust (the opal one) and Galactic (the turquoise one). Can't wait to try them!
