Update

I apologize if this post looks strange, but I'm writing it from my phone and I don't know if the formatting will be different when viewed on a computer. I just wanted to give you a quick update if you'd like to know why I haven't posted any new content for the past few days. My dad had major surgery on Monday morning and I've pretty much been at the hospital ever since. We are not sure yet when he'll be released, but HOPEFULLY it will be soon. As many of you know, my dad are I are very close so this has been a very difficult time for me and of course all of my family. My mom and dad have been married for 50 years (!), so you can imagine how hard it's been for her, let alone for my brother and I. There is just no amount of concealer that can hide the circles I've got going right now... The GREAT news is that he's stable, the surgery went very well and we are all hoping for a speedy recovery. Since it's really unusual for me to go one day without posting, and HIGHLY unusual for me to go TWO days without posting, I just wanted to fill you in and let you know what's going on. I hope to be back very soon, and I want to personally thank every single person who has sent my dad well-wishes on twitter in the past few days. I will read ALL of your tweets to him once he's doing a bit better. I know he will be blown away to hear them, just as I was.     I'll be praying for your Daddy & family. I completely understand what you're going through. My dad was hospitalized in ICU for 7 days in January from a bad infection and several other serious things that came out of nowhere. We almost lost him and it was the scariest thing ever. Hang in there!

    Oh wow. I am so sorry to hear that your father is in the hospital but so glad to hear that his surgery went well and he is on the mend.     Oh wow, I've been totally unplugged and am late catching up, but wanted to add my best wishes to your Dad. I was kind of a wreck when my Dad had major surgery, so I can relate to the stress part, and I really hope he comes out of it more than just ok, but fantastic.
