I bought the butterLONDON Olympic collection at Nordstrom Rack in NYC this week for $14.97 These are my first BL polishes and am so thrilled I bought them at $5 a piece. They also had a trio of glitter polishes and trio of lip glosses. They have duos of matching lip gloss and polishes.
Dillards has the entire lines of Pur Minerals and Paula Dorf on sale for 50% off as they are clearing them out. In addition to that, items that have clearance stickers are ringing up an additional 30% off the clearance price as Dillards is doing 30% off all permanently marked-down items in the store this weekend. The core items from Pur Minerals and Paula Dorf that would normally not be on sale if they weren't getting rid of these brands are *not* subject to the additional 30%. Just the items that would have been on clearance anyway if they were not saying goodbye to these brands. Not all of their locations carry these brands so I would call ahead if you don't know if yours does. I was in two Dillards today: both had Pur Minerals but only one had Paula Dorf.
Stopped by Sally's beauty supply to pick up a new flat iron (a little tip from me, NEVER buy one with titanium plates, filled my hair with static, awful).. and of course I had to check out the makeup. Sally's has some of the best cosmetics no one ever talks about. Got 2 five pan palettes by Sal and Jo on clearance for $1.50.. really nice quality. They look like little books with an elastic closure and a little mirror inside. One was purples and the other smokey (silver/greys/black) with a nice mix of finishes in both. Also on clearance an eight pan palette of nice neutral shades by Femme Couture with a sparkly silver case and nice big mirror for $4.50, and really, really nice quality.. need to check out some more of their shadows. Palladio was on sale buy 2 get one free, I adore their quads.. they are some of the best shadows I have ever tried low or high end... so I decided to pick up two of their silk finish palettes and a baked trio.. all are lovely. The silk finish shadows are "extra smooth", never felt anything quite like it, they really feel like silk going on, and the baked shadows were a beautiful metallic finish. Not a dud in the bunch, I swatched every one of them in the car and they were smooth and pigmented, the FC were so pigmented I had to really scrub to get the swatches off my hand.
On another note I went to target yesterday intending to buy the Eye on Neutral palette, but it was sold out, so I picked up two quads and two duos from her instead. They had several on clearance. While her matte and shimmer shades are quite nice the glitter shadows are completely useless. They are just chunky glitter that falls right off, it did not even stick to my cheeks, just fell completely off my face. I have no idea what they were thinking. One of the quads had four glitter shades and the other had one, I'm taking them both back.. for the money it is not worth having a color (or all of them) that you cannot use. Yes, I could probably use glitter glue, but I'm not going there. Just FYI for anyone considering a purchase.
Target had the new Almay Bold Nudes palettes on sale for $4.77, so I took the opportunity to pick them up. Not much "nude" about them, except for the blue eye trio which is very pretty neutral toned browns. The other options were two bold cool toned purples and a cream for brown eyes, green/brown/champagne for green eyes, and the most interesting.. melon/navy/peach for hazel eyes.. very curious to see how that one works out IRL. The melon color is quite pretty. I swatched two of them and they are the same quality as the other newer palettes (the eye shaped ones)out, which is quite decent. I find they actually apply better to the eye than they swatch, and they have medium buildable pigmentation and are quite smooth in texture. They also blend well. The compacts are quite nice, good quality, and look classy in white with silver trim. While I do not use the included applicators they are good quality with a very soft rubber texture vs. cheap sponge. I think these are highly underrated in the drugstore market, probably because the previous versions (straight bars of color, or two straight bars and a square) were hit or miss in quality and had some very strange color combinations. I have found the new ones to be a definite step up in quality, and much more wearable color combinations, with some very pretty individual colors. I ignore the eye color labels and wear whichever strikes my fancy since often times they choose a coordinating color which is the exact opposite of what you want to do to enhance eye color... for example in this collection either the brown or hazel eye trio would be more enhancing on my green eyes than the green trio.

Walmart has started carrying Elf products!! Not sure if this is new for Walmart or just the ones near me. The selection seems to be pretty similar to the one at Target.

Revlon is driving me nuts. This week I've seen Lip Butters in Fig Jam, Berry Smoothie and Red Velvet with "new shade" stickers! These are in the new in-line displays at Walgreens and Ulta with the Nearly Naked products & nail art polishes added. Definitely not old stock! But these are older, core shades, right?
Just spotted Nailtiques Formula 2 on clearance at Walgreens for $2.49! Since I normally pay $10 a bottle I bought the last 2 left! They were in a pile of clearance makeup on an endcap
Thanks for the info about ordering online! I've purchased those polishes before in-store, and I'm pretty positive they are the same as the L.A. Girls polishes, in the same bottles but with different names, and with the Love & Beauty label. I've inadvertently come home with a dupe or two because of that, but I don't mind that much.
Also, you may want to ask if they have NP stashed away in drawers in their accessory section. I've discovered that the selection is much better when I sift through the drawers rather than picking through the other cosmetics. Plus, they are less likely to have been opened, swatched, and then left open to dry or drip onto the other bottles. Leaving open nail polish bottles around is my #1 pet peeve with other customers. :-)
The Wal-Mart nearest me (I live in Maine) Re-vamped it's nail polish section completely, and they now have all of the new Pure Ice in a lighted display wall along with the essie, NOPI, and Sally Hansen. It looked very nice (only a matter of time till it gets trashed I know, :P ) -Also I needed to pick up a new bottle Heartbreaker, since I use it a ton for layering/frankening and It's DIFFERENT! Not majorly so, and maybe I got a weird batch or something, but it doesn't have a blue base, it is clear (although it still looks blue/green in the bottle) and is not as shimmer packed -more of a green micro sparkle with a slight blue duo chrome effect -if that makes any sense lol
I was at Rite-aid today and up on the top of the shelves was a brand new fully stocked display of what said Maybelline Limited Edition Popsicle--"something" idk what exactly, I didn't think anything of it, it has the same packaging as their vivids and other lipstick collections, this stuff looks like Jelly in a tube and I looked it up today, I've got posts from 2011 and August 2012 coming up, is my rite-aid just

I spotted a Milani collection of texture polish at my Fred Meyers. Much like the liquid sand that O.P.I has. There was 5 or 6 different colors. They were 4.50 I bought and love the charcoal grey. :)
I was at Norstroms Rack in Mission Valley (sd) and saw Butter London trios, butter london singles with additional product, Lorac Tantalizer, NARS set that included the Laguna and Orgasm mini duo, eyeshadow primer, mini eyeshadow, and lipgloss for $34, value was $49. There was also OPI colors and other nail polishes. They also had stila sets (forgot what the were called..seemed neutral) also Anastashia lip set of 5 I believe for $14.
yesterday at Rite Aid I found CQ, Petites, and Chameleon polishes for .74-.99 each, some were in baskets up front, some in the typical hiding spot on an endcap in the back. There were a few Essie polishes in there for 2.00 as well. Must be old stock, since the Scherer display was now arranged vertically, but was completely full, including the shades I found clearanced. The sinful core display is now in the same spot.
Also spotted a maybe new Sally Hansen Xtreme wear color, Breeze Blue in the main display.

I hope I'm not giving you information that you already have. I know that you mentioned last week that some CVS stores that previously only had Wet N Wild, were now getting NYC. I can also confirm that my store which has only had NYC is now getting a very nice-sized Wet N Wild display!!! *dances for joy* Anyway, thanks for all you do! I love your blog and check it daily! :)

I was at Rue21 and found a possible dupe for Deborah Lippmann's Candy Shop - the polish color is #050 and they're on sale this week for 2 for $5! they also have a brighter pink one too and a teal one in the same vein. I haven't seen the Claire's version for a long time in stores so this is one that's currently available yay!

There are two different Sally Hansen $3 coupons on coupons.com One is just for the nail strips. The other one is for the strips, gems, lustre shines, magnets and crackles.
Wet n Wild has a limited edition collection called "Get Your Look". The palette sets are called Color Icon Eyeshadow Medley that comes with their liquid eyeliner. The palettes are new, never seen them before (2 mattes, 3 pearl shadows, and some shimmer overcoats). Also, they had a set with their nail polish and a Fergie lipstick and another set with 2 mascaras. I spotted them at Walgreens in Houston. I took a picture of the display if you need it.
