Essie to release affordable holiday gift sets!

Attention Essie fans (or those of you who would love to be Essie fans but can't afford the usual price tag)! From happi.com:

Essie Cosmetics introduced the Holiday 2010 Collection, which include four fabulous gift ideas for that special someone on your shopping list. Options include:

Snow Princess:
Four sweet shades for the sugar plum fairy in all of us. Gift set includes Blanc, a snowy white, perfect for French manicures; Ballet Slippers, the award-winning, best-selling, classic sheer pink; Guchi Muchi Puchi, a creamy, luscious pink with a kiss of mauve and Pink Glove Service, a flirty translucent with a hint of petal pink.

Red Hot Fiesta:
Melt the icy chill with molten hot reds. Gift set includes: Jag-U-Are, a gorgeous gleaming red; Aperitif, an appetizing rich red; Fishnet Stockings, a spicy dark crème red and Thigh High, a deep and frosty bold ruby red.

Mani Perfection:
The perfect mani/pedi made simple. Gift set includes: Apricot Cuticle Oil, a soothing, softening apricot scented oil; First Base Basecoat, which helps polish bond to the nail surface; Every Day Topcoat, a brilliant clear glossy finish for all nail types and an Instant Dry Oil, a popular polish protector.

Cheers to You:
Spread a little joy wherever you go with beautiful hands. Gift set includes: Pear & Fig Smoothie, a cream with a fresh, clean scent of fragrant fig trees and sweet pears blended with aloe vera, shea butter and vitamins to protect and moisturize skin; Bordeaux, a deep red wine polish and Three-Way Glaze, an all-in-one base coat, strengthener and top coat.

All gift sets have a suggested retail price of $15.

If these are like the Summer 4-pc kits, then I think they'll be mini bottles as opposed to full-size. But still a great way to try four Essie shades for the price of two full-size bottles, right? Will you be looking for these this holiday season?

  1. I personally LOVE sets because it's way cheaper. The downfall of sets is that I can't pick what colors I want =( The Essie sets are adorable but I always end up liking only 1 or 2 of the colors =/

  2. I don't go for sheer colors or reds, so not interested in the first two. That third one, Mani Perfection, that's the one I would buy. If they are minis then I'll wait until after Christmas and see if I can't get them during the half off sales.

I like the Summer 4 pc kit you linked to better than what I'm hearing of these winter colors.

I also kind of like the idea of selling sets of minis of a collection. It's not like I regularly go through a whole bottle of polish anyway. You can try all the colors at usually a decent price.

The only problem with minis is that there isn't enough room for a good brush so it's also a mini brush that can make application a little tricky.
