Well, better late than never, right? This week's question is coming to you at 10:30pm, but at least it's still Wednesday! I really like this question and I hope you do too. I can't wait to see your answers!
Is there one drugstore beauty product that you simply cannot exist without?
If this product were to suddenly vanish from store shelves, would it have you cursing at the drugstore gods for all eternity? If so, I want to know about it! For me, the answer is simple: Maybelline Define-A-Brow Eyebrow Pencil in Light Brown. Thanks to so many of your responses to a previous Wednesday Question, I finally gave this product a try a few months ago and it is now my go-to, holy grail eyebrow product. The super-fine tip, the shade (Light Brown is a perfect match for my brows), the staying power and the price make it the most awesome eyebrow pencil I've ever used (and I never thought anything would ever beat the Anastasia eyebrow pencil!). So Maybelline, if you're listening, DO NOT EVER DISCONTINUE THIS PRODUCT! :)
I was just gonna say the exact same thing u said about maybellines define-a-brow. I use light brown and medium brown and I'd be so pissed off if maybelline d/c it. I don't want to go back to paying for MAC's brow pencil when maybelline define a brow is just as good but wayyyy cheaper!
ReplyDeleteI'd seriously cry if L'Oreal discontinued the HIP gel liners. They're comparable to my MAC fluidlines, and usually my go-to liner. Howeverrrrr.. I would do a very happy dance if they came out with more colors. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a hard question! I use maybelline Dream Matte Powder everyday, if it were gone I'm sure it wouldn't feel so mundane to use it daily.
ReplyDeletei think maybe the Suave Naturals line....seriously i have been trying some other more expensive shampoos and conditioners but i always come back to the Rosemary shampoo/Shea buter conditioner combo! my hair loves it and it's SO cheap!
ReplyDeletebtw i totally wing my CVS trips too....and i broke my no buy yesterday to get 4 ECB from buying $10 of Revlon stuff i'd been eyeing.....
I don't know what I'd do without my Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle cream for day and the night one too! I know there are other products out there, but these two work the best for my skin... I even bought the La Mer I'd been craving... yet I still prefer the Neutrogena! I actually get better results! Hope they never dc these.

ReplyDeleteMaybelline Cover Stick Corrector Concealer. I've been using it for 12 years. None of the other concealers I've tried (loreal, benefit, almay, nxy) are heavy enough to cover my genetic dark circles. I also like how there is a broad range of colors instead of just light/med/dark.
ReplyDeleteNot sure this counts as a 'beauty' product, but I am totally addicted to Burt's Bees chapstick (mint, please!).
ReplyDeleteAs far as actual makeup goes, I haven't found my holy grail mascara yet. Once I do, you'll have to pry it out of my cold, dead hands!
I would probably say my TDF product would be any kind of concealor. Currently i'm loving the Cargo blu ray and MUFE lift concealor.

I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT My COVERGIRL LASH BLAST!!!
ReplyDeleteand if one day they discontinued it, I will be lost totally.... dunno what else can replace it....
I have three unopened tubes on hand now, just in case. :D
Now after reading all your comments, i have to go try the maybelline brow pencil! here i come, CVS!
I'm an addict to the "YES TO..." lines, LOOOVE their berry lip balm. It's my fav.
ReplyDeleteMaybelline Matte Mousse has been my go to foundation since high school. Even when I stray away I still come back to it like a loyal puppy:-)

biore dual fusion moisturizer + spf 30. i sing its praises to all who will listen. it's the only moisturizer with spf that doesn't break me out or make my eyes sting. it makes my skin feel so soft and smooth too.
ReplyDeletei second that- maybelline cover stick in medium beige. even though i have very pale skin, this medium beige shade completely erases my circles and looks natural with the rest of my face. i've been using this for 4 years now.... best concealer i've ever tried!
ReplyDeleteMine is CG Simply Ageless foundation. I've been using it for a year and the flaky dry patches have disappeared; my skin is also clearer and more even toned. It's expensive for d/s foundation but I always buy it on sale & use coupons. Love it!
ReplyDeleteOne of my HG products was discontinued this year: VO5 Curvaceous Curls Mousse :( I found a few bottles in the clearance section - just hope I can find a suitable replacement before my stash runs out!
ReplyDeleteThe other product I've relied on for years is Revlon Colorstay Nude lipliner - gives my pale lips a good base color and helps my lipstick last a long time.
Revlon Matte Lipstick in In The Red (my HG red for color, finish, and consistency!)

Revlon Brow Enhancer in Blackened Brown
I would absolutely die if Sally Hansen Nailgrowth Miracle in the Gold bottle is ever discontinued. Whenever I go to the drug store, I alway make sure they are in stock. This is one item I buy regardless if its on sale or not. If it happens to be on sale like 40% off, I usually clean them out.
ReplyDeleteMax Factor Pan-Stick foundation, which, to my everlating despair, is discontinued in the U.S. I have NO IDEA what I will use for foundation once I'm out.
ReplyDeleteOther than the essentials of shampoo, body wash, toothpaste & whatnot ... I'd say Maybelline Mineral Power concealer, it's one of the best :)
