  1. My Aromaleigh lip balm. This is the BEST lip balm, hands down. It's amazing.

  2. I agree with Phyrra, Aromaleigh Lip Balms! I own 3 or 4 and are scattered around strategically so I don't miss them lol
I like that they are super soft and moisturizing and also a bit glossy, so they look pretty as well.

Apart from that I'd say Aromaleigh Twilight Lustre Powder and Bellapierre Mineral Eyeshadows. Those are lovely and I NEVER hear anyone talking about them!

  3. Mine would be L'oreal Voluminous mascara, I can't understand why year after year beauty editors would pick Maybelline's Great Lash over that!

  4. Hm, my Jordana eye and lip liners - super cheap and super amazing =)

Also, this isn't drugstore but NARS Bali is the most versatile eyeshadow ever.

BTW, I got two of the Maybelline Color Sensational lipsticks today! The one Amber Rose was wearing when I met her and also Toffee Tango =)

  5. Phyrra and MissTat, I think I need to own this Aromaleigh lip balm that you speak of! lol! Sound amazing! Oh and a question for you both: Have you tried the Jane Cosmetics Mineral lip balm? It comes in a variety super pretty shades and it is soooo smooth and luscious. I was wondering if the Aromaleigh resembles the Jane lip balm in any way?

Hey Anon! I agree that beauty editors always give Great Lash a nod for best mascara and I can never figure out why! lol. It's got to be one the wettest, messiest mascaras I've ever worked with! :)

Hey Joey! Ooooh, I totally forgot about those Jordana liners. Good call! And congrats on picking up those two Color Sensational lipsticks! I am so curious if you like them! Please keep me posted? :)

  6. @ Phyrra and Miss Tat (hey, I'm a Miss Tat too!): I think I need to check out this lip balm. I'm not a big fan of glosses (they're almost always sticky), and lipstick isn't versatile enough for everyday wear for me so I think I need to stock up on more lip balms. Thanks for the tip, ladies.

@ Recessionista: My must-have is my Shiseido mattifying lotion. You see, I'm only 19 so I'm still going through the whole oily/acne-prone/hormones-induced skin problems but this lotion keeps my skin oil-free and without shine for most of my day. It's the best remedy! I've been using the 1-2-3 step kit from Sephora (about $33 and it lasts me for about 45 days+)for over a year and it just keeps my skin in check :)

  7. Oh so I tried the two lipsticks and I LOVE them! Very Cherry is super bright red so I don't think I can wear this during the day but Toffee Tango is a perfect color for me - I'm all about dark mauvey-browns and this is just so pretty!

  8. I'm always quite suprised that I don't hear more about Boots brands on blogs (No7, 17 or the Natural Collection). Not sure how common Boots is in the US, but I think they sell over there? Anyway, I really like alot of the products- including a fab mascara from the 17 range- but never hear them mentioned?!

  9. Hi Shela! Glad to hear that you've found such a great product by Shiseido. That's wonderful that it works for you so well!

Hey Joey! YAY!! I am sooooo happy that you like these lippies as much as I do!! :)

Hey Beautyjunkielondon! You know, they do sell Boots in the US and it's quite readily available (I know that Target and CVS carry a rather extensive selection of makeup, skincare and bath & body). But you know, I cannot figure out why you don't hear much about this line! Very good point. Maybe it has to do with the prices--the products are kind of expensive when compared to other drugstore lines. I think you should do a blog post letting us know what the must-have products are! That would be sooo helpful. I am going to look for that mascara! :)

  10. Thanks, Recessionista; I'm also a fan of NYX's Goddess of the Night lipgloss in 155 Perfect-- it's the best sheer pink gloss I've used and I hate sticky glosses but this one applies smoothly-- compared to so many other ones I've used. Ack, like juicytubes. This one was only $1.99 and it feels lighter too. Have you tried it out?

  11. Hey Shela! You know what? I don't own that gloss but I do have a NYX Goddess of the Night gloss in "129 Beige" which I love love love! I couldn't agree with you more about the formula of these glosses. They are so wonderful and I never hear anyone talk about them. My "129 Beige" is actually not beige but a light neutral pink creme and it's one of the prettiest light pink glosses I own. So perfect when you want a neutral lip. Thanks for reminding me about this one--I need to bust mine out and use it today. :)

  12. Nice, I think I have to check that one out. I need another nude/pink gloss to offset those smokey eyes I've been trying to do. Thanks :)

Wit, you're from San Diego? Me too! We're beauty gurus from the West Coast!

  13. Hey Shela! YAY!!! San Diego girls rule! lol :) I'll be sure to let you know if I find any great deals on makeup locally, and please do the same? I'm actually having a hard time finding NYX in SD since Long's was purchased by CVS. Obviously CVS doesn't carry NYX (oh how I wish they did) so I really miss being able to just drive to Long's to get my NYX fix. I know there are a few beauty supplies that carry NYX...where do you buy yours? For now I pretty much have to buy online.

  14. I'm afraid that I have no such luck either. I bought mine from a korean boutique in Clairemont Mesa but they've gone out of business and yet replaced by another korean boutique. Odd, right?

But Bliss used to sell them (both the ones in Parkway Plaza and Mission Valley malls), but if you've been to either malls you'd realize that they're out of business also. But there's a new henna tattoo booth in place of Bliss at Parkway that's pretty interesting...

I'll give you a heads up if I see anything. And of course, local deals will always be shared :)

  15. Hey sweetie! Wow, that IS odd that this Korean boutique was replaced by another Korean boutique. lol! Maybe they just passed it from one family to another or something? But it sucks that the new owners decided not to carry NYX. :( I've heard that some beauty supplies over in the Clairemont area (Balboa and Genesse, I think?) carry NYX but I'll have to investigate and get back to you.

Also, do you ever go to Marukai and Mitsuwa? I loooove getting my makeup sponges at Marukai and cheap makeup too. And then I go over to Mitsuwa and stare at the more expensive Japanese makeup and dream about it. lol!

And you know, I've been to Parkway a million times and never even thought to go in Bliss. Darnit! All this time they had NYX in there and I missed it. lol. But how strange that there's a henna tattoo booth there now! Strange location (in a mall) but henna tattoos are beautiful so I'll definitely check this out. :)

It's a deal: We'll both keep each other posted if we spot NYX and also if we see any good local beauty bargains. xo

  16. I've never been to Marukai-- they're in Clairemont? I'd love to check it out sometime when I'm there.

The henna booth at Parkway Plaza is oddly barren though. They have chairs and the entire place is brightly lit but I usually never see more than 3 people in there so I'm wondering if the prices are high. But I'd love to get one!

I'll keep on the lookout for deals and freebies when they pop up. You'll be the first to know about them ;)

Speaking of which... did you know that Auric Blends is selling "Love" with new packaging and also at #3.50(?) for a roll on bottle now? They slashed the original price in half!
