A Look Inside the New Ulta Skincare Value Sets

I posted about this a few days ago but if you missed it, Ulta has two new skincare value sets available both in-store and online. Click HERE for the Skinnovation Set and HERE for the A Three-Step Makeover Set (that set is currently out of stock online; hopefully it will be back in stock eventually).

Each set is $7.99, and you can use code 407209 (or this coupon in-store) for $3.50 off any $15 non-prestige purchase (works with these sets) or online only use code 308920 for $3.50 off any $10 non-prestige purchase (also works with these sets).

I ordered both sets online when I first posted about them, but I haven't received my order yet. Thankfully, reader Gloria also purchased these sets and was nice enough to share some pics with us in case you want a closer look!

The A Three-Step Makeover Set includes:
  • Neutrogena Make-Up Remover Cleansing Towlettes (travel size; 7 sheets)
  • Pacifica Glow Baby Glow Youthful Face Scrub (travel size)
  • Formula 10.0.6 Pores Be Pure Skin Clarifying Mud Mask (travel size)
  • Boots No7 Protect & Perfect Intense Advanced Serum (full-size)
  • Olay Regenerist Luminous Tone Perfecting Cream (travel size)
  • Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream (travel size)

Just the Boots product alone, which is full-size (1 oz.), retails for $24.99 - $29.99. If you look up the full-size version, you may see that it comes in a 1 oz. bottle like THIS, but it also comes in a 1 oz. tube like THIS (which is what is in this set).

The Skinnovation Set includes:
  • L'Oreal Revitalift Triple Power Intense Overnight Mask (travel size)
  • Burt's Bees Nourishing Facial Water with Clary Sage (travel size)
  • Biore Baking Soda Pore Cleanser (travel size)
  • Neutrogena Hydro-Boost Eye Gel-Cream (full-size)
  • Pacifica Kale Detox Deep Cleansing Face Wash (travel size)

Just the Neutrogena product alone, which is full-size (0.5 oz.), retails for $19.99.

For $7.99, I think both sets are a nice little value, especially if you've already been wanting to try these products. These very much remind me of the Target beauty boxes in terms of sizes, assortment and value.

Again, I wouldn't wait long if you want these--I have been hearing from some of you that your local Ultas are already sold out and like I said at the top of this post, the A Three-Step Makeover set is currently sold out on the Ulta site (hopefully it goes back in stock soon).

Thanks again, Gloria, for the great pics. I really appreciate it!

  1. This is incredibly random, so my apologies. I'm watching The Small Things Blog's latest youtube video (cubicle conversations), and she showed some little silicone pore scrubbers she found at Marshalls, brand Precision Beauty. They reminded me of the scrublets that used to come on those L'Oreal Go-360 cleansers that I loved a few years back. When googling that product out of curiosity, I saw you had done a review and loved the scrublet, so I figured I'd let you know!

    1. Awww, that's so sweet of you to think of me and take the time to let me know! Thank you. :)

I know that a lot of people like those little face scrublets for makeup brushes, but I have tried them and I don't care for them. They're too small and too soft. Since they're made for the delicate face area, I find that they just don't loosen makeup on brushes enough for me, no matter how hard I scrub. They were OK for a few of my shadow brushes that were only used for powders, but for anything cream or liquid-based, they just didn't work for me. I much prefer my dollar store silicone kitchenware (and even the Real Techniques palette I reviewed recently). :)

  2. These sets look so amazing! I'm itching with anticipation of their arrival...thanks for posting! I hope Ulta releases these sets with more frequency - great products for great prices

  3. As luck would have it, I got these last Friday at my Ulta so I was quite excited. At the time, I had a $3.50 off $10.00 so that was even sweeter. I'm glad you guys caught that this week's coupon says $3.50 off $15 because I didn't even see that. i just assumed it was the normal $3.50 off $10. I believe someone commented that they hope Ulta isn't changing it to $3.50 off $15 going forward but I bet they are! Boo hiss....
Anyway, these sets are excellent deals as always ( with or without a coupon ).

  4. I have way too many skincare products already, but I'm obsessed & couldn't resist - I snatched up both of these yesterday thanks to your first post about them! Using the coupon code & no tax because I live in Oregon it was a steal even with $6 shipping, & the free ItCosmetics brow pencil was a nice addition! I LOVE sets like this, such a great way to try new products at a fraction of the price. Can't wait for it to get here!

  6. Sounds like a great deal. I would pick this up but I already have some skin care products I'm working on now...correct me if I'm wrong but this is the first time that I've seen an Ulta curated box? I hope these keep on coming because I'm addicted to the Sephora Favorites boxes! :-D

    1. There were two sets for $15 each 3-4 months ago. I nabbed the Fast Track To Flawless ($15 for $90 value), the other set was called To The Rescue. Those two sets contained pricier brands like Murad, Dr. Brandt, Algenist, Bliss, Peter Thomas Roth, Dermalogica, Philosophy, etc. I think there was a $9 hair care set about two months ago? And around Thanksgiving they usually have a fragrance set.

    1. Hope you don't mind me asking, but how did you get $7 off? Did you use your Ulta rewards points?

  8. I have so many different things left to try thanks to the Target Boxes that I should skip these. That said, if I get to the store and they are in stock I will probably get one. Really holding out for the new Sephora favorites in Bronze!
