If you missed out on the Origins Cyber Monday special and you really wanted it, I have good news for you!
On Cyber Monday, the Origins Limited Edition Super Star Minis Set was $15 shipped on the Origins site (it sold out shortly after I posted about it at that time). This set retails for $35 at Macy's, Dillard's, and other retailers ("A $91 value"), but it's been sold out at Origins ever since Cyber Monday.
I bought this set during Cyber Monday, so I have pics to share with you below but before I get to that, I want to make sure you know that this set is in stock on the Macy's site HERE, and it's reduced to $26.25 with free shipping. Not as good as Cyber Monday, but you're still saving almost $10 off retail, plus free shipping. And if you order now, you can get it before Christmas with no extra charge.
UPDATE: Thanks to reader Rachel for pointing out that the eye cream alone in this set retails for $30 at Sephora (exact same size--0.5 oz.--only it comes in a tube in this set and not a pot, which I actually prefer since I don't care for pots/jars for skincare). So that item alone retails for more than the entire set!
There are also lot of additional Origins sets on sale at Macy's HERE if you're not interested in this particular set. All with free shipping, of course.
UPDATE #2: Thanks to reader Amy for the tip that Origins currently has 25% off their gift sets right now HERE (with free shipping on all orders), including the Superstars Set for $37 here ($131 value and contains multiple full-size items). And thanks to reader "Unknown" for the tip that you can enter code DEALMOON4U to receive a free 1.0 oz. jar of High Potency Night-A-Mins cream with your purchase!
If you want to know my thoughts on the Super Star Minis set, here's a closer look:
Modern Friction Nature's gentle dermabrasion
GinZing Refreshing eye cream to brighten and depuff
Clear Improvement® Active charcoal mask to clear pores
Make A Difference Rejuvenating hand treatment
1.0 oz tubes:
Checks and Balances Frothy face wash
High-Potency Night-A-Mins Mineral-enriched renewal cream
GinZing Energy-boosting moisturizer
A $91 value
My take on these sizes: they're great if you're new to the brand and you want to sample many of their best-sellers before committing to a full-sized purchase. Even the 0.5 oz tubes should last you a while; I have only tried the Make A Difference Rejuvenating hand treatment so far (I just got my order this week), but I only needed two pea-sized drops to fully coat my hands, so that tube will definitely be enough for multiple uses (by the way, that hand cream feels so luxurious, and it smells like orange popsicles).
And again, as reader Rachel for pointed out, the eye cream alone in this set retails for $30 at Sephora (exact same size--0.5 oz.).
Plus, I was totally not expecting this:
For some reason, I had it in my head that the complimentary bag in this set was just a little makeup pouch. It's actually a knapsack that measures about a foot long. The material is on the thin side, so it wouldn't be good for really heavy books or anything like that, but the straps are double-stitched and I plan to add this bag to the reusable grocery bags in the trunk of my car (it's perfect for holding things like celery since it's deep--great for farmer's market shopping).
It also has an inside pocket:
Again, if you missed out on this set during Cyber Monday and you really wanted it, I just wanted you to know that it's now at Macy's and even though the sale price isn't as good as the Cyber Monday deal, I personally think it's still a great deal at $26.25 + free shipping. A great stocking stuffer or treat for yourself, for sure. I'm seriously considering ordering another one.
Hope that helps!
