Spotted: Walgreens Fall 2015 Disney Villains Collection

UPDATE (9/27/15): Pics of entire makeup collection (with links to swatches) added to bottom of post.

It seems as though Walgreens is churning out these Disney collections every three months or so. The Dare to Dream collection (Pocahontas, Mulan, and Ariel) came out in mid-June, and here we are at the end of August with another collection!

Not to be confused with the Fall 2013 Disney Villains Collection (Cruella De Vil, Maleficent, Ursula and Evil Queen), this NEW Villains collection features Maleficent, Ursula and Evil Queen (no Cruella, as far as I can see). Thanks to two lovely readers, I have pics of the SOHO Beauty Bags to show you today--these are now starting to pop up at Walgreens stores.

NEW Walgreens Disney Villains SOHO Beauty cosmetic bags
(retail: $7.99 - $11.99)

Reader @queengembeauty on Instagram spotted the above display at her Walgreens this week and kindly shared these pics with us. As you can see, there are five bags above (larger bags on top, smaller bags on bottom). But I think there are six bags total in this collection (more on that in a moment).

Keep reading for more pics...

Reader @lucy.lipstick on Instagram also spotted this collection at her local Walgreens this week and kindly shared the above pics. I think the bag on the bottom right in this pic is the third SMALL bag in this collection (Evil Queen). So it looks like there are three large bags and three small bag altogether. If you'd like to see how these bags compare to the Fall 2013 SOHO Beauty Disney Villains bags, CLICK HERE

Thanks to reader @ brenda_lae on Instagram for sharing these pics of the Orly nail polishes and SOHO makeup brushes she spotted at her Walgreens this week:

@brenda_lae confirmed that the shade Maleficent is a dupe for the existing Orly shade Space Cadet and that there's also a dupe for the Orly shade Halley's Comet in this collection as well.

Walgreens Fall 2015 Disney Villains Collection

The makeup in this collection is once again made by Markwins (makers of Wet n Wild, Black Radiance, and Lip Smackers), just like the Disney Dare to Dream collection. These makeup items are NOT made by e.l.f. (e.l.f. has made the makeup for several of the past Walgreens Disney collections).

I'm not going to include the names of each item below because, further down in this post, there are close-ups of each item and I'll include the product names there.

  1. Ah I guess I got a couple of the fall 2013 ones, just because the whole design was neat, never used them tho...

  2. I AM SO EXCITED FOR THESE! I am also so grateful that you take the time to update with sightings like this. I can't wait till I see these in store for myself!

  3. I have never been so excited to not like a Disney collection before. After I went crazy on the Dare to Dream my wallet needs a break. I'm just not into villains all that much (especially these three). However, I am very interested to see what the other products are. So far it looks like it's going to be a great collection for those who love these characters! I am glad they varied the art on the bags this time. It's better to have variety. Thank you so much for posting the sightings! I check your blog every day around the time a new Disney collection is due! :3

  4. The Dare to Dream collection is on clearance at my stores here in Virginia Beach. Just a heads up to anyone who is looking for anything from that collection still.

I just scooped up the Pocahontas palette, illuminizer, bronzer set, and 2 makeup bags for around $15

  5. Oooh I so hope one of my local walgreens gets these. I found the Belle stuff but with the Ariel, Mulan & Pocahontas collection they only had a few makeup bags. Why don't they want to take my money?

    1. Did you try looking online? I know I saw it on the Walgreens website but I didn't check to see if it would allow me to put it in the cart.

  7. The brushes look cute. I wonder who makes them?

  8. Thank you so much for sharing these. I love The Little Mermaid, and have a shelf in my makeup room dedicated to that. These are so awesome, but I'm not from the States so I can't get them :( However, I asked a friend there to send them to me if she finds them! I would have never known about them otherwise :) <3

  9. I saw the polish in store today and some of them are gorgeous! And not just the Space Cadet dupe either. The pale grey Ursula polish (the single at the top!) has the prettiest purple flash to it!

  10. I picked up the brush sets for $9.99 at my Walgreens today. Just a heads up for anyone interested in the price.

  11. My small Walgreens put the summer collection on clearance also what was left anyway. I did score a smudge pot from Beauty and the Beast in Beast I really like Elfs smudge pots and this one is great too.price was 1.29$ and Ariel quad for 3$. They did have the Belle booklet but wasn't into that. A lot of the Orly polishes. So if u have a big Walgreens that's not in a smaller town like mine u might find more. I was happy with my purchases.

  14. The makeup is out!! I just sent you a few DM's on instagram but for Ursula, there is Makeup remover wipes, eye palette, lipstick, and shimmer power.
Maleficent has makeup remover wipes, lip set, lipstick.
Evil Queen is makeup remover, eyebrow set and lipstick.
All three have the beauty books, nail polish and bags. :)

  15. Today I went to look for brushes & in turn found something MUCH BETTER! Evil Queen, Ursula & Malifecent Beauty books!!! Along with lipstick & contouring sets. Has anyone else seen these!!???

    1. I saw ONE contouring set..I wasn't sure who makes this line, but I feel like it's not ELF. I'm not a big fan of theirs!

    2. Babybluez, I state in this blog post who makes these products (see bold print right at the start of the makeup pics).

  16. I am so excited for those beauty books. Also, I know that it's supposed to a be a brow kit, but that taupe is going to make a great shadow, IMO. I'm also really glad these are made by Markwins, as I'm not a fan of ELF products in general. The quality of these looks very nice.

  17. Well, I thought I could get by with out anything from this collab, but I'must gonna need some of the polish and that Evil Queen born for sure....there goes my no buy.

  18. I am looking forward to finding these treasures.

  19. I love that the Evil Queen has a brow kit.

  20. The brushes are actually fantastic. I am very impressed.
The individual lipsticks are very pretty, Maleficent is brown but almost a berry-brown, Evil Queen is a true red and Ursula is a hot hot pink.
The shimmer powder is probably the best thing in this collection - the lid unscrews and then there's a flip top for extra spill protection! the color is just a pretty shimmer, with a slight white sheen.
I love the Maleficent Beauty Book, even the green eye shadow is pretty and wearable!
The shimmer shades in the Evil Queen are disappointing. The shimmer is just an overspray and the color underneath is meh compared to the sparkly goodness I thought I was getting.
I also grabbed the Maleficent 3-piece lip set and I really like them so far. However, they are chunky pencils, so I'm not sure how I'll be sharpening them!

    1. Wait. Sharpen? I was told those are twist-ups, just like the ones Markwins does under their Wet n Wild brand. They require sharpening??

      Delete
    2. I bought these and they are twistable.

    3. Am I doing something wrong? I can't seem to get mine to twist up!

  21. One time I bought a Sephora Pantone 3 piece pencil eyeliner set( clearance) and I tried to sharpen them. I did not realize they twisted up. I laughed about it later, but I totally mangeled the brown( fav color) pencil. Is the quality of these disney sets the same as wet and wild?

    ReplyDelete
  22. Here's my deal with these. The Disney fan in me wants to buy them all but the practical person always stops me! How do I manage you ask? I only buy the ones that I think I'll use. I bought all three of the lipsticks, which for the price I was a little dissapointed on. They're really just charging you for the neat little logo and the colors aren't even all that special. But I will say that even though the packaging feels cheap, they all close quite tighly. If I end up keeping any of the 3 it'll be for decoration purposes and nothing more. As far as the beauty books, I bought the most neutral one but have yet to test it out. The brush feels really sturdy and the shadows are a little powdery but I personally do not mind that. I really want to keep that one. Here's to hoping it's worth it!

  23. Picked up the pink & red lipsticks and the contouring powder. Went sniffing around the clearance rack and managed to get a Mulan lip balm for 0.50! Passed on the Ariel eyeshadow on the clearance rack though

I might just go back to get the blush and some of the beauty books - my fiance was with me at the time so he told me not to get any of them this time! Hopefully they pop out on clearance too

    1. The blush is BEAUTIFUL!!! Was pleasantly surprised. Peachy/pink w/ gold shimmer. Very pigmented. Got the brown lip w/ red undertone. Nice. Like a WNW 99 cent lippie, but still good. Not a fan of Disney, but wanted to give this a try. So glad I did. BTW...my store was in Fairfield, nj

  24. The 2 Siamese cats were "villains" Did they ever incorporate those into sets????

    ReplyDelete
  25. also, if you open the flap with the mirror, there are instructions on how to do two different styles using the palette.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I just ordered contour, blush, all three eyeshadow books, three lipsticks (magnificent elsewhere). Excited! I found the the lipstick trio at my local walgreens. Does anyone know if they sharpen?

    ReplyDelete
  27. Just an fyi, some Walgreens have these marked down. One near me was totally out while another still had them on the shelves. They told me the Disney Villains products would be gone soon to make room for Winter products.
