I haven't even found everything I wanted from the California Dreaming and Silver Lake collections yet, but guess what? The new Wet n Wild Venice Beach collection has landed!
Many thanks to reader @mzsamacaz on Instagram, who just spotted these displays at her local Walgreens and kindly shared some pics with us.
PLEASE NOTE: Below you will find pics of the limited edition 8-pan eyeshadow palettes, lip glosses, and eye pencils, but I'm assuming there are ALSO nail polishes in this collection, based on the art on the display. I will update this post as soon as I receive additional info about that.

Coloricon 8-Pan Eyeshadow Palettes
(retail: $4.79 each at Walgreens)
There are three limited edition Coloricon 8-pan eyeshadow palettes in this dipslay. I immediately thought that these reminded me of the previous limited edition all-matte palette (first released as I Heart Matte and later re-released as Drinking a Glass of Shine), but @mzsamacaz confirmed that there are both mattes and satins in these palettes (I just updated this post and included some close-ups below, which @mzsamacaz just shared--you can see the different finishes for yourself).
Side note: I believe these are the first limited edition 8-pans we've seen since the Spring 2014 8-pans, so I'm thrilled that Wet n Wild hasn't abandoned giving us limited edition 8-pans. Even if these colors aren't for you, I think it's great that they're still releasing them...I'm sure you all agree with me on that one!

Notice the "vice city" theme here, which would explain the shade names you're about to see.

Reader Sophia just shared these swatches of the Boardwalk Boozing palette, taken on bare skin (no primer) in both natural (shaded) lighting and direct sunlight.

I'm very impressed with the pigmentation of some of these shades without primer (especially that neon pink!). Sophia mentioned to me that of the satin shades in the palette (the purple, green and silver), the purple shade was the nicest, with the silver being the most disappointing. As for the mattes (everything but the silver, green and purple shades), the pink was the best performer for Sophia. She also mentioned that the texture of the satins was "stiff," while the mattes were "powdery and crumbly."
It sounds like you'll need a good primer (I bet these would work nicely with the WnW Fergie primer) to ensure a smooth finish, but gosh, I'm just so impressed with that neon pink shade on bare skin. If the Urban Decay Electric Palette is out of your price range (or just not worth the investment because you're not sure how you feel about brights), this could be an affordable alternative for experimenting.

There appear to be six limited edition Coloricon Lip Gloss shades in this collection. I'm loving that Wet n Wild seems to be moving in the direction of putting most of their limited edition products in white packaging--it's a fun change from the usual black packaging, right?
UPDATE: @mzsamacaz went back to the store and kindly grabbed these close-ups of all six shades for us:

These cocktail-themed names are cute, right? Zinny Dippin' is especially clever to me, given that it's a purple-ish wine color.

Idol Eyes Creme Eyeshadow pencils and Megalast retractable eyeliners
As you can see, there are both Idol Eyes Creme Eyeshadow pencils and Megalast retractable eyeliners in this collection. And look at all the fun colors! I enlarged @the_world_of_ithica's pic a bit for a closer look:

There are four Idol Eyes Creme Eyeshadow pencils in this collection and four Megalast retractable eyeliners in this collection. @the_world_of_ithica has a close-up pic of the Idol Eyes Creame Eyeshadow pencils HERE if you'd like to see. Based on her pic, I can confirm that the Idol Eyes Creme Eyeshadow pencil shades are as follows:
Chiquita Sunrise (yellow)
Eye Candy (fuchsia)
Smurf and Turf (blue)
Hash it Out (green)
Have you spotted this collection at your local Walgreens, Kmart, Rite Aid, CVS or...? If you have spotted the nail polishes that I'm assuming are also part of this collection, I would love to hear from you!
Oh! And please do let me know if you'd like me to get an interactive sightings map going for this collection. I'd be happy to do so if enough of you request it!

Thanks so much, @mzsamacaz, Sophia, and @the_world_of_ithica, for the great pics. I really appreciate it!
I got one of their spring palettes and I must say the formula/quality of the shadows has really improved!!! I might pick up one with the cobalt blue shade, hopefully it's nicely pigmented like the last palette I got from them, though I know bright shades can be iffy quality at the drugstore.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the feedback! I heard good things about those palettes as well...never did find them, darnit. Lol! And I agree...brights can be so hit or miss. Hoping these are winners!
DeleteBoardwalk Boozing and Hemporary Solutions look gorgeous - also those are some pretty frisky names for a drugstore product, i love it.
ReplyDeleteYep! Lol! :)
DeleteThose are the two I'm after - I must have these! Rite-aid doesn't have them just yet, but I haven't checked Walgreens
DeleteI'm confused, are the other two palette's permanent? It looks like there are five different palette's in the picture?
ReplyDeleteNope, there are just three in this collection. The others that you're referring to are the same three, just turned upside down. :)
DeleteThanks for clearing that up!
DeleteI don't wear many super brights, except lipsticks and nail polish, but I kind of want to try a swipe of the hot pink shadow along my lash line. I'm trying to use some stuff up, too, but Boardwalk Boozing looks like fun.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like it would be super pretty on you! I too have been thinking about busting some little pops of color in my eye looks lately. The other day I applied just a tiny bit of the red matte from the WnW Pop Art Craze trios to just my outer "v" while the rest of my eye was a basic smoky gray-brown. I loved it because it was fun, but not TOO over the top. :)
DeleteIf I find that I'm sure I'll get it. I'm sure I'd use the purple, greens and silver and then the left side would be more for play and experimentation. Working from home it's hard to justify some purchases, but from what I'm saving in gas ...
DeleteThese colors look cool. I'm a neutral color lover though.
ReplyDeleteI am too, but see my comment above! :) These can be fun for tiny pops of color when you're rocking a neutral look. Just a bit on the corners of the eyes or lash line. :)
DeleteI can't imagine ever being able to find these. I still have not found any of the WnW summer collection
ReplyDeleteRobin, I JUST found (and purchased) the bronzer, blush and highlighter trios from the California Dreaming collection, so don't give up hope! Lol! :)
DeleteJust a heads up G.. The Rite Aid in Bonita (next to Von's) still had all the 6 pan LE Silver Lake palettes. They are at the bottom of the shelf hardly noticeable!! But I would call and see if they can hold them for you. They also had a few of the LE polishes and the new Blush/ Bronze/ highlight trios. I went in Monday so if you're still on the hunt you might be able to get your hands on what you missed!
DeleteWhen I saw the title of this post, I just groaned. More things to look for! But after seeing the pictures, especially the eye shadows, my wallet is safe! Just not my cup of tea.
ReplyDeleteNot crazy about the shadow names. Must be aiming for a different demographic than me. I'd say it was a crime to saddle them with such monikers but, well, you know....
As a side note, I really have the urge to track down the shadow display just to turn the palettes the right way & put them in the right spots. Pet peeve!
Lol. Just like with the Silver Lake, etc. collections, WnW seems to be going for shade names that represent the vibe of that particular part of LA. If you've never been to Venice, these shade names are actually pretty mild compared to things you see there! The last time I was in Venice, I was asked if I wanted to buy drugs within five minutes of getting out of my car, and I assure you I didn't look like I was looking for drugs! Lol!! It's a wild place, for sure.
DeleteBut for those who aren't familiar with the vibe of these towns, I can see that it might be a bit off-putting! Definitely racy for a drugstore line, but as someone who's typing drugstore shade names all day every day, I have to admit I like it when they're unique and not just, "Blushing Berry" etc. again and again. Lol! :)
Lol! And did you say to Mr. Drug Pusher, "No, unless by drugs you mean limited edition makeup"?
DeleteIt could be worse. If they chose my city, the names would be Murderous Mauve, Violent Violet, and Police Chase Puce!
I lol'd at work when I read "murderous mauve". Omg so funny.
Delete:-)
DeleteFirst of all...damn you Wet n Wild! I still haven't found ANY of the California Dreamin' stuff yet!! Second, I think I'm gonna pass on those palettes. I don't mind color but those aren't me. I WILL be checking out the glosses though. And I'm cracking up over "handle your bidness" and "Boardwalk Boozing"!
ReplyDeleteOmg! Cant wait to find these.. the glosses look interesting.. My Walgreens always gets the collection in a week after you post.. so Ill start checking Walgreens EVERYDAY starting Sunday. Hopefully they have a sale next week on Wet N Wild.. I just love the Wet N Wild new shadows! They are pigmented and creamy :) Love your blog as well G! Annie
ReplyDeleteWell now, this is a collection I can get behind. I love weird/unusual colors at the drugstore level because it is not something I wear all the time and so I like to have these colors in my stash but not feel guilty about paying too much for something I only use every once in awhile. Those glosses look great too. Something different for a change. I'm all for a sightings map for sure as I know the Silver Lake collection was somewhat elusive for some people.
ReplyDeleteMuch color, wow. Boardwalk Boozing looks the most interesting to me. I hope the formula in these is as good as in the Silver Lake palettes.
ReplyDeleteI just found the palettes yesterday ay Wags. With as bright as the colors are, I'm really looking forward to the polish!
ReplyDeletePlease give us a map! I need doubles of all three!!!
ReplyDeleteIs it just me, or does the green in boardwalk/hemporary look the same? also, the blue in high flying/ hemporary
ReplyDeleteThere are shades in each palette that look very similar to shades in another palette in this collection. (Not to mention that some colors resemble closely the Silver Lakes eyeshadows)
DeleteGREEN LIPGLOSS?!
ReplyDeleteYou can see the applicator in the picture, so I assume it goes on clear.
DeleteThese look so fun even though I typically don't reach for those types of shades. If I find them I'll probably grab them to play around. I did finally get everything I wanted from the silver lake and California Dreaming collections
ReplyDeleteI just bought all the eyeshadow pallets tonight. Most of the colors have really great payoff. One of them has a vibrant matte lime green that I'm really excited to try. The deep cobalt blue shades in 2 of the palette are really gorgeous as well. I think all the colors are wearable if you mix them with neutrals so you don't look like Rainbow Bright! I also got the purple gloss. It's pretty much a clear with shimmer on my pigmented lips but it makes my lips look really full. I like it! Can't wait for the polishes!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like there's some pretty nice potential Electric Palette dupes in there, too!
ReplyDeleteWonder if they have pigmentation like the UD electric palette!
ReplyDeleteOh I will be heading to Walgreens and Rite Aid tomorrow to try to hunt these down, I love bright colors <3!
ReplyDeleteI like the looks of these! I sense a theme with these names and the green lipglosses though and I don't know if I think thats cute or scary because teenagers are probably a large part of who's buying these. Ohhh well, I'll probably still pick one up lol.
ReplyDeleteGoing to pass for sure on this one. Rather wait an invest in UD and Lorac Pro Contour..those colors are not me at all.
ReplyDeleteHrmm. Not sure if my comment got eaten or not. If so, the names are the best part of the lipglosses.
ReplyDeleteGreen - Appletini of My Eye, purplish- Zinny Dippin', pink- Mai Tai Buy You a Drink?, orange - Lying on the Sand-Gria, peach- Saved by the Bellini, red- Will You Bloody Mary Me? At 2.99 I might've scooped them all.
Oh those are cute names! What would be even better is if these were flavored according to their names.
DeleteI might have to get them all too. ;)
Aw. I literally gasped & set my coffee down when I read the title about "new 8-pans". Unfortunately, I'm disappointed. They've been doing a TON of brightly colored releases lately but nothing even vaguely neutral for us neutral lovers! So sad. I hope they do another release someday like the ones from the Spring Forward collection a few years ago!
ReplyDeleteThey had the Fergie Milano collection palette and the pigmentation is amazing!
DeleteI should just give Wet n Wild all my money now. Do you know if this is their last collection to come out before the fall? I need to start saving some money!
ReplyDeleteI found these on Nasa 1 near Eggrets Bay Blvd off of exit 24 on the I-45 and my friend found them on El Camino near Bay Area Blvd
ReplyDeleteChecked Rite Aid today and was unsuccessful. I want Hemporary Solutions so badly!!
ReplyDeleteI'm in the middle of the country and seems like I takes forever to get anything. I go to walgreens and they always tell me. Well we have some new displays back there we haven't gotten to yet. Don't know if it's there or not. Check back. Well I can't be I. There every week and don't always have the funds anytime they decide to put it out. Drives me Crazy sometimes. Plus a smaller town smaller stores less likely to get some of the new stuff or LE. But I like some of these colors. I love their products. Just no one around here sells much of it. Have to drive over an hour or so to get to a bigger one. I love ordering inline when shipping is not too much. I do have one of their pallets I have been really curious about where it came from. I found it at Walmart and it very colorful called Poster Child and has pinks, yellow, Green, Navy, gray. It's 737A. I am not sure how u look up their stuff. But it's very pretty and more like mattes. It was the only one I saw and in the wrong spot. But I snatched it up. Still want to get Comfort Zone and the purple one. We didn't get any of the new Fergie line in this area.
ReplyDeleteJoyce poster child is part of the permanent line
DeleteDefinitely would like to see a map for this collection. I know when I find it Boardwalk Boozing and a couple of the lipglosses are coming home with me.
ReplyDeleteSpotted the eyeshadow in Milwaukee, WI. Walgreens on 6th and Oklahoma. On my way out I sported the lip gloss in a box by the cashier so I got her to Crack it open and give me Appletini, Mai Tai, And Belliji. Happy camper. No luck on polish. But she had a few boxes. I'll stop in tomorrow and see if there's any.
ReplyDeleteThe California Dreaming collection was on clearance at the Walgreens I visited today. $1
ReplyDeleteI saw the eyeshadows today at a Walgreens in the Twin Cities. It was the Walgreens in St. Anthony on Silver Lake Road.I didn't see the lipglosses there though.
ReplyDeleteI have zero interest in these 8pans. Way too wild for me. I'd be all over a neutral 8pan though. I suspect these will end up at Big Lots in 6 months.
ReplyDeleteoh man, this post reminded me that I've hardly used my Urban Decay Electric palette that I've had forever! I need to get on that this summer! :-)
ReplyDeleteAnd I JUST BOUGHT two NYX singles in shades that are almost exactly the same as two in two of these palettes. *headdesk* then again, the only one of the dreamin/lake collection I've found was on clearance at Walgreens the other day. I never even saw the full display.
ReplyDeleteMap please!
ReplyDeleteSpotted in Mesa AZ at Walgreens on Southern and Alma School. Brand new display, nothing missing yet. Not my cup of tea, but thought I'd let you ladies know.
ReplyDeleteWhen I got there it looked like only one of the pink or coral lipglosses were missing. I then grabbed Boardwalk Boozing, Appletini of My Eye, Will You Bloody Mary Me, and Zinni Dippin.
DeleteJust spotted the shadow palettes and lip glosses in Walgreens, in Jacksonville, FL...no nail polishes yet...
ReplyDeleteAlready sold out of eyeshadow at the Arden Walgreens in Sacramento!!! Anyone know if the palettes have arrived at other Walgreens in the area?
ReplyDeleteYes, just saw them at the Wags on Freeport and Fruitrige. Glosses too but no np (yet anyway). I am going back for a couple glosses as swatches I've seen aren't as OTT glittery as they look in the tubes.
DeleteI'm also starting to see various new WnW things at Rite Aid who always seems to get stuff WAY later than everyone else. Luckily I live near the DS trifecta: Wags, RA and CVS and yes, I've been known to scour all 3 :)
Would be 4 stores if I count the Dollar Tree but I never find anything good that others report seeing.
P.S. Sorry if that Wags is not in your exact area,.but I have better luck at stores that aren't in higher traffic areas like those @ Arden.
DeleteThey made it to Anchorage Alaska I'm missing one though. I only went to 1 Walgreens
ReplyDeleteThere is a third display with 4 eyeliners and 4 chubby eye-shadow pencils. I have pics if you want. I bought them all and will swatch when I get home
ReplyDeleteBrandy I would love to see!! Please email me if possible? Thanks so much!!! :)
DeleteI'm kind of liking the eyeliners, although I doubt I'll get them. I saw the shadow palettes in person Tuesday and, well, no. Definitely not for me in any way, shape, or form. Really hoping that WnW comes out with some more universally flattering palettes at some point.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. I'd love to see some more user-friendly (at least for me) shades again, mattes especially!
DeleteI only saw and got all the shadow palettes , now time to get the pencils :)
ReplyDeleteWell this make me even more disappointed!!! I have not found ONE SINGLE ITEM of the summer LE displays. I had been searching since April and had to give up about a week of for sanity sake.
ReplyDeleteArgh! Just when I thought I could breathe a sigh of relief because I finally found everything I wanted, there is another display. I have not seen this one anywhere. I think everything is trickling in. One Walgreens just had the lipglosses but no eyeshadows. I guess I'm back on the hunt as these liners/shadows look fun. And at this point I might as well get the whole collection. I guess the polishes will surface in another two weeks when the dust has settled from all of this!
ReplyDeleteOh and the cute sales lady at Walgreens even said, "These are really popular, I already sold some of these today. There must be pictures on the internet". To which I replied: "Yes. Yes there are". :D
Please make a sightings map for these. I hope the eye pencils arent a Kmart exclusive.
ReplyDeleteThis is one collection I wont be rushing out for. I expect these to end up at Big Lots by next year.
ReplyDeleteI bought all three palettes last week, but passed on the lip glosses even though there was a full display... I debated on it, but I don't really wear sparkly glosses or anything like that. I used a combination of shadows from each of the palettes to create a fun look I posted on Instagram. I got mine at Walgreens, as my Kmart didn't have them when I looked. I'll be keeping an eye open though to see if either store gets the eyeliner display! I'd love some of those colors :) It always surprises me when my Walgreens gets any of the LE collections though, since it usually doesn't... I've been lusting after every single one of the elf/Disney collabs and don't have a single one 😫
ReplyDeleteThe only thing I've seen from this collection are the glosses, which are of no interest. I'd love it if they had some color mascaras. How awesome would that be if they'd had fuschia, sky blue, bright green and other mascaras.
ReplyDeleteI shared a picture of the Boardwalk Boozing palette compared to UD Electric palette on Instagram if you want to check it out :)
ReplyDeleteI'm waiting for them to make an 8 pan venus palette dupe that'd be frickin awesome
ReplyDeleteBought the entire collection today at Kmart for $50!
ReplyDeleteIf ur in North Texas I saw the 8 pans at Walgreen's in Cedar Hill, Midlothian, and Waxahachie and saw the lip glosses at Walgreen's in Waxahachie and Midlothian. AND Midlothian Walgreen's has the polishes from California dreaming on clearance
ReplyDeleteHas anyone seen the eye pencils or sticks in Walgreens ? No Kmart in our city :(
ReplyDeleteThey only have the 8 pan palette and lipglosses in my Waterbury, Ct Walgreens. No nail polishes or pencils as of yet!
ReplyDeleteThey shadow and glosses just popped up at HEB plus
ReplyDeleteMy New York City ladies- I have found the eye shadows as well as the lipglosses only at
ReplyDeleteDuane Reade stores. I haven't found them yet at Walgreens.
I stumbled on the new wnw displays at my rite aid here in Lima Ohio on Monday. I'm not into the bright shadows but really wanted to pick up the shadow pencils. They are amazing 😄😄
ReplyDeleteI have checked CVS/Walgreens in Norton, VA, Knoxville, TN, Kingsport, TN, Boone, NC, and Charlotte, NC and there's been no limited edition Wet n Wild products at all. Permanent line only. What a bummer!
ReplyDeleteI saw this entire collection at Kmart in Greeneville,TN today.
DeleteLaura Hampton, I saw this entire collection at Kmart in Greeneville,TN today.
DeleteHave you tried Kerrs? They are pretty good at stocking the WnW LE colors. They are an NC based drugstore
DeleteI STILL HAVENT FOUND THESE SHADOWS AND I LIVE HERE IN ORLANDO, FLORIDA!
ReplyDeleteI MIGHT HAVE TO END UP PURCHASING THESE SHADOWS ON LINE! I HAVENT SEEN THEM ANY WHERE!
ReplyDeleteTry Jewel. That's where I found them :)
ReplyDeleteI had to purchase the liners/eye creams online too on Ebay but the seller was reasonable.
ReplyDeleteJust spotted the Venice Beach collection at 2 CVSs in Pearland
ReplyDeleteCrazy, this JUST popped up in Baltimore County at one of my Rite Aids. I bought the two pink liners.
ReplyDelete
