As promised, today I'd like to show you the new Limited Edition L'Oreal Pro-Matte Gloss Collection (to see the other new Infallible Pro-Matte products that are on the way, click HERE). I'm surprised that L'Oreal has made this a limited edition collection considering that they're also promoting this as "Our 1st Liquid Matte Color." That seems like something you'd want to offer permanently, right? I'm hoping that perhaps only the six shades in this display are limited edition and that L'Oreal will come out with permanent shades later down the line, but I guess we'll have to wait and see.
Many thanks to two lovely readers for the following pics. First up, reader @l0ve_like_wh0a spotted this display at her local Bed Bath & Beyond this week and kindly shared this pic:

Again, this collection is limited edition (see my arrows above). There are six shades here: 512, 511, 510, 513, 517. Since the numbers are out of sequence, I'm hoping that supports my theory that permanent shades are on the way!

There are some beautiful colors here, right? Have you spotted these in your area yet? Thoughts?
Thanks again, Fatima and @l0ve_like_wh0a, for the great sightings and pics!

those look interesting, I am a big fan of Infallible glosses
ReplyDeleteShouldn't it just be called a liquid matte lipstick instead of a matte gloss? Lol o-o Thanks for the info, G. =D

I agree! I can't get past the name of a "matte gloss".
DeleteMe neither!
DeleteI am curious about these. The similar item from W&W was atrocious. Hopefully these are better.
ReplyDeleteI've been waiting for these forever. It's been awhile since Loreal had a liquid lipstick. I was a big fan of their Rouge Pulp line.

ReplyDeletei'm super intrigued .
so many companies are doing liquid to matte lipsticks nowadays , so it's nice to see a drugstore alternative .
wet 'n wild currently has one , but it's horrid .
i'm not really drawn to any of the colors , though , so i hope they release more in the future .

NYX's matte lip creams are pretty good! I just got one over the weekend and I really like it so far.
DeleteSaw these on Thursday at the Christmas tree shop!!
ReplyDeleteLiquid lipstick. That's all.
ReplyDeleteThe "gloss" aspect must come from the fact that it's "never drying," which would be ideal for a matte color NOT to feel like clay on the lips!
ReplyDeleteI want these so bad!!! But... No safety seals. Sad face.
ReplyDeleteSafety seals might be in the form of perforated stickers on the back. If the perforation is broken, they have been opened. Same as their other lip products, as well as their eyeshadows.
DeleteHmm, I wonder how these compare to the NYX matte lip creams. Those are the closest thing I can think of to a "matte gloss" since they are pretty much a matte liquid in a gloss-type applicator.
ReplyDeleteIf someone can get me a UPC number, I can do some digging.
ReplyDeleteI bought 2 today 514 and 517, there are 2 of each color in the display, I almost got 3 but wasn't sure that I needed to do that :-)
ReplyDeletethese go on really nicely, not matte and not shiny like the Infallible gloss, feels comfortable on the lips and no taste even though there was a bit of scent, always an issue with Loreal.
If I can I will swatch and link to NC's instagram if the pictures comes out worthwhile ☺
I was confused about what these were...I though they were going to be like these new liquid to matte stains but they wipe off very easily...I bought nude allude and it was more like a coral color...I want to impressed
ReplyDeleteAs for as safety seals these are just like the runner-up apocolips...you'll know it was opened when the color pushes into the clear part...there was no seal on these at Harmons
