But if you caught my earlier post about this collection, then it will come as no surprise to you that On Pines and Needles came home with me. So let's take a look:
Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Nail Color in On Pines and Needles
New permanent shade for 2014

This polish is an emerald green creme with blue and kelly green hidden shimmer.
In all of the following photos, I'm wearing two coats and no top coat.

As you can see, the shimmer in this polish is visible in dim to very bright lighting. About the only time you can't see it is in very low lighting.
The first coat of On Pines and Needles was sheer, but the second coat yielded complete opacity. The formula is very nice--not too thick and not too thin. I had zero application issues and this polish dried quickly. After about three hours of wear, I removed this polish using an acetone remover and there was NO STAINING. I had a teeny tiny bit of residue on my cuticles that needed a second pass with my cotton pad but, other than that, no staining of my nails whatsoever. Yay!
I'm absolutely loving this color, even though it's not a typical "summer" shade. I often wear non-summer shades in summertime though, and I can't wait to wear this one on my toes this week. I'm very happy this is a new, permanent shade--you can wait for a sale and pick it up in the fall if this is a bit dark for you in warmer months!
Have you spotted the new Luxe Jewels display in your area yet? Again, I added close-up bottle shots to my original post HERE (there's one other shade in this display that contains hidden shimmer) and I also included some links to swatches of a few other shades in my post as well.
The products featured in this post were purchased with personal funds. For more information, click here.
I need this one so bad! Thanks for swatching it!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the swatches! This one is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteOhhh gosh, it's like MAC's Jealousy Wakes eyeshadow as a nail polish.
ReplyDeleteSaw these at Kmart last week. Definitely planning on buying this one and one of the purple ones :)
ReplyDeleteI need to find this collection ASAP!!!! Yippee!!
ReplyDeleteThat is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I love dark greens.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful green! I haven't seen the display with this one yet.
ReplyDeleteMUST...HAVE! *drool*
ReplyDeleteThis color is great year-round, I'd say.
ReplyDeleteLove. This. Color. Lots of dark greens are missing that blue tinge and veer towards warmer, yellowy green. And as a HUGE Michigan State fan, it seems I've found a perfect Spartan green for football season nail art :-)
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great green! Can't wait to see it for myself when it shows up at the drugstore.
