NEW Wet n Wild Color Wave Mini Nail Color Sets
(retail: $3.99 each at Walgreens)
If these look familiar to you, then you're probably thinking of the China Glaze Ombre Sets. The similarities are definitely there!
I was quick to assume that the shades in these sets were all existing core collection shades, HOWEVER, I do not remember ever seeing a mint green creme shade in the Wild Shine line before. I am assuming that this is one of those "mysterious" new Wild Shine shades I keep hearing about, rather than a shade that was created specifically for this mini collection, but I could be wrong. If you have seen a full-size mint creme Wild Shine polish "in the wild," please do let us know!
Keep reading to see the second set...

Have you spotted these mini sets at your local Walgreens yet? Thoughts?
Thanks so much, Impoverished by Polish, for the great sighting and pics!
I haven't yet, mine still had a few of the customer favorites... and the other with the new palette (not Spring forward).. didn't buy any... but I WOULD probably pick up these two.. thanks for the heads up
ReplyDeleteI need these. That's all.
ReplyDeleteDo u know if the brushes r the wide ones or not?
ReplyDeleteI have seen both of these at my Walgreens! But I cannot for the life of me find their spring palettes..I feel like I'm stalking Walgreens..I went three times this week to no avail!
ReplyDeletePretty colors! Why are they called Color Wave?
ReplyDeleteAwesome! I'd probably wear one color at a time though lol and use another as an accent nail :)
ReplyDeleteI think I'll get one for my July Seekrit Santa gift. :)
ReplyDeleteI don't have a Walgreens, so I haven't seen these, but from that picture the pastel mint shade just looks like "I Need a Refresh-mint" from the Megalast line repackaged to go with the set. It wouldn't surprise me, since lots of companies do repromotes and repackagings.
ReplyDeleteSaw these today in S. Louisiana.
ReplyDeleteOh I need both of these!
ReplyDeleteI wish I knew about these earlier. Even though I haven't come across them I did see a couple of sets of mini LA Colors at Family Dollar for the same price. I bought pink ombre, but they also had purple ombre, and neutral ombre. Once I put the pink on I wasn't happy about the colors. Anyway I will look for these as I think the colors maybe more cohesive. Thanks for the information, as usual!
ReplyDeleteOoo--interesting. In my experience, the wild shine formula wears about ten million times better than the megalast formula, so I'd be interested in picking these up for sure. Keeping an eye out. :D
ReplyDeleteI saw some older mini-collections in Dollar General today, but I didn't catch what release it was. I have to go back tomorrow, so I'll try to remember to check.
ReplyDeleteThe pink ones look adorable!
They have the small brushes. :)
ReplyDeleteWant want want want WANT
ReplyDeletei bought the blue set at my walgreens today but unfortunately the polishes don't have the names on the bottles or the packaging
ReplyDeleteI know! That's the only downside to these sets. I bought the blue set too. I love the colors, but with how small the bottles are i'd love to maybe be able to repurchase some in full size when I run out. Maybe they're a preview to some new colors that will be in the regular Wild Shine line...
DeleteThe blue is pretty but I'm looking to get two polishes from Sally Hansen and I probably won't see these anyway!
ReplyDeleteUgh! I picked up the blue set and walked around with it then convinced myself I didn't need any more polish so put it back and I've been regretting it! Now I've been to a couple different Walgreens around here and only one had the pink which I didn't want. I think I made a big mistake trying to conserve my money lol!
