Review: Milani Color Statement Lipsticks: Pinks & Corals

Continuing my swatchfest of the new Milani Color Statement Lipsticks, today I'd like to show you the pinks and corals in this range, which were sent to me for review. If you'd like to see the reds and oranges, click here.

NEW Milani Color Statement Lipsticks
(retail: $5.49 each, 0.14 oz)

There are a whopping 30 shades in this range (I'll be reviewing all of the remaining shades in the weeks to come). For my detailed review about the texture, consistency, staying power, etc. of these lipsticks, please click here. If you want the short version: they're awesome. They are true-to-tube, ridiculously pigmented, super creamy and hydrating. They basically feel like a $25 lipstick when on my lips. I can't recommend them enough.

Alright, let's get to the swatches!

Pink Frost, Fruit Punch, Flamingo Pose, Rose Hip, Hot Pink Rage, Flirty Fuchsia, Rose Amour

Pink Frost
(Metallic Finish)

Pink Frost could not be a more descriptive name. It's pink, it's frosty, and it's not a shade that looks good with my skintone. Also, I don't recommend it if your lips are chapped (like mine) because the finish will accentuate every imperfection, as evidenced above.
Fruit Punch
(Cream Finish)

Fruit Punch is a lovely peachy-pink-coral creme. Sometimes shades like this turn chalky on me, but this one didn't at all.
Flamingo Pose
(Cream Finish)

Flamingo Pose is probably my favorite shade of all the pinks and corals. First of all, I love the name. Second, it's one of those coral-berry-red-pink shades that's hard to describe but so lovely to look at. It's not too warm, it's not too cool; it's just right.
 Rose Hip
(Cream Finish)

Rose Hip is for all you cool-toned-pink lovers out there. This is bright but not eye-searing and wonderfully pigmented. Even prettier in person.
Hot Pink Rage
(Matte Finish)

Hot Pink Rage is a lovely pinky-coral matte that could wake up just about anyone's face. It's one of those colors that I would reach for if I felt pale or icky because it's a very "happy" color. Much more wearable than the name implies.
Flirty Fuchsia
(Vinyl Finish)

I love that Flirty Fuchsia has a vinyl finish because it gives it a slick, almost lip-glossy look on the lips. This is a very sexy, cool-toned fuchsia.
 Rose Amour
(Cream Finish)

Rose Amour is another one of those "wear this when you're feeling down" shades, because it's just so pretty that it could perk you up in no time. It leans cool, but I think those who prefer warm-toned pinks could probably pull this one off too.

So, what do you think of the pinks and corals in the Milani Color Statement Lipstick Collection? Any favorites? Any must-haves? Do you already own any of these shades? I'd love to hear from you!

These lipsticks are starting to show up in the usual retail locations (CVS, Walgreens, Target, etc.) so be on the lookout for them. If you can't wait, you can always order them online here.

    1. My thoughts exactly! I was going to comment on those three too, they're just lovely! Rose Amour is nice as well, looks similar to MAC Nouveau Pink, or is it Pink Nouveau?... actually looks to be a couple of possible MAC dupes, or close enough anyway.

    2. Agreed! I think there are some possible dupes/lookalikes here too...need to do some investigating!

    3. Fruit Punch looks like everything I hoped MAC Betty Bright would be, not in the tube but on the arm and lip...Betty Bright (LE Archie collection) was a bit too dry for my taste and it is a Satin...not matte. Another possibility of a dupe is Hot Pink Rage, it looks similar to the LE Chanel Spring collection lippie named Eclatante (sp?) Looks very similar in colour and texture. I actually purchased the real deal only to return it...it sucked all moisture from my lips, and left them badly chapped...btw I was lucky enough not to get chapped lips this whole Winter, till I tried (my first Chanel lipstick) Eclantante. If I'm shelling out $30 for 1 cosmetic item, it better be good.

  14. You know, I saw swatches of these on another blog and didn't like them, and then I came here and now I want like three of them. Hot Pink Rage and Rose Amour, I think, and maybe Fruit Punch. I have to think about this.

    2. I actually happened to have Hot Pink Rage - I bought it for a friend who didn't want it - and it looks really good on me! So I may go back for Rose Amour and maybe Fruit Punch now.

  16. I saw the entire line at Wal-Mart yesterday! (My Wal-Mart had like, everything I was looking for that I couldn't find elsewhere. I was really surprised/impressed.) Flamingo Pose will definitely be mine, but I'm thinking I'll grab Fruit Punch as well...

  17. Do these lipsticks smell/taste weird? I love hearing that inexpensive lipsticks look and feel great, but if they have a strong scent, I can't hang.

  18. I am finally heading to CVS on Friday to get the PF BB Powder and I know they carry the full line of Miliani (the only place that I know of that does) so I definately want to check on Flamingo Rose and Fruit Punch!

  20. I love a lot of the new lipstick shades (in the reds and corals, too) but still can't get past the smell of Milani lipsticks. If they'd do an unscented line, I'd buy them in a heartbeat.

  21. I love all except for the Pink Frost... so hard to decide which one to get first :) Great review, photos are very helpful - though I don't see any coral in these shades except a hint of it in Flamingo Pose! Maybe it's my screen - I'll have to go check the colors in the store.

  23. Flamingo Pose and Fruit Punch are soo pretty! If I get Amnesia and forget I already have way too many lip colors, I'll get them :) .

  24. Wow, those arm swatches are SHOCKING in the most amazing way possible. The colors look aamzing, definitely looking into picking up a few of the creams. I have been LOVING Milani products lately! Thanks so much for the great review and swatches, can't wait to see the other colors!

  25. Your swatches look amazing, as usual they make me want to run out and pick up all these colors (except for the pink frost).

I have Flamingo Pose and I love it, even though I haven't been brave enough to wear it out of the house yet ;) It is a color that my bestie and I have always called "Cor-chsia" which is basically the coral version of my all time favorite color, fuchsia, so I guess it makes sense that I am obsessed with it now. This lipstick did not help cure that obsession, and may have even made it worse (or better?).

  26. Flamingo Pose looks gorgeous on you! Just lovely. :-)

  27. I'm trying so hard to resist purchasing any new lip products (I really need to shop my stash for a while, LOL), but the swatches of Flamingo Post and Flirty Fuchsia are really testing my resolve.

  28. I've yet to see Rose Amour in a store. It's on Milani's website, as well as Cherry Culture, but seems to be missing from my local stores!

  29. I cant believe i own 8 of these. I dont know how that happened. I still cant find rose amour. Searched 3 stores.

  30. I just got the Flamingo Pose. I had bought the hibiscus shade from black radiance because I was looking for a hot pink, but it looks more blue than coraly on me. When I saw this one at CVS I was hoping it would be true to color once on my lips and it was. I looooooooove it!
