As 2011 draws to a close, it's time again for me to start compiling the winners of my annual Cheapie Awards. Last year I added a new award that's entirely dependent on YOU, and I'd like to continue that tradition again this year.
I will be including a category in the Cheapie Awards for Reader's Choice for Best New Drugstore Beauty Product of 2011, but I need your help in order to make this possible. Instead of picking the nominees myself, I want YOU to determine them. Here's how it works:
- On this post, leave a comment telling me what you think is BEST new drugstore product released in 2011. It can be any type of CORE COLLECTION product (no limited edition products, please). It can be a makeup product, haircare product, skincare product, body care product; it doesn't matter. It just has to have been released in 2011 as part of the brand's core collection and available at drugstores.
- After one week, I'll take the most popular products mentioned in the comments and then narrow it down to a short list. Then I'll take that short list and create a reader poll on the right-hand sidebar, where I'll give you one month to vote for a winner.
A HUGE thank you in advance for leaving a comment on this post. The Reader's Choice for Best New Drugstore Beauty Product of 2011 is entirely dependent on YOU, so please let your voice be heard and leave a comment on this post!
PS: If you're not sure if a product you'd like to nominate was released in 2011, leave your comment anyway and I'll verify the release date for you before I compile the short list.
Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter! <3
ReplyDeleteMy pick would have to be the Cover Girl Nature Luxe foundation in the tube. It really rivals my high end foundations! Great full coverage.
ReplyDeleteI have two products to nominate. Suave Professionals Damage Care shampoo, and Suave Professionals Sleek Anti-Frizz Cream. Love the shampoo because it's moisturizing, smells great, and it's inexpensive.
ReplyDeleteNuance by Salma Hayek Color Vibrance Lipsticks!

Physician's Formula happy booster blush! Def a go to!

ReplyDeleteI love the wnw ice baby collection (esp diamond in the rough), but it's LE.
So, I think I would like to nominate the Milani baked blushes! I think they were this year. . .
Wet n wild 8 pan palettes
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if this was a 2011 release, but it's new for me...Garnier Anti-Dark Circle roller under-eye concealer. It's cool and smooth going on and gives great coverage!
ReplyDeleteCoverGirl NatureLuxe Liquid Silk Foundation
ReplyDeleteMy first pick would be the Milani Baked Blushes. I think they were released this year but I don't know since I'm a beauty newbie. If they weren't released this year then I nominate Revlon's Lip Butters!
ReplyDeleteNever mind mine, I saw that you dd a review in 2010. I still love it! :-)
ReplyDeleteCover girl nature luxe foundation and maybelline eraser concealer. ..... I can't pick.
ReplyDeleteSally Hanson Salon Effects!
ReplyDeleteCover girl nature luxe foundation.
ReplyDeleterevlon lip butters and realtechniques brushes
ReplyDeleteSuave Dry Shampoo! Makes my hair so much less oily, and more volume.

ReplyDeleteL'Oreal Mousse foundation
Eye shadow:
Hard Candy Eye Def Cream Shadow
Mascara:
Rimmel Lash Accelerator and Wow Lash
CoverGirl Natureluxe mascara
Lips:
Rimmel Stay Glossy 6 Hr. gloss
My top two are Cover Girl Natureluxe foundation (which I see a lot of people agree with :D) and the Wet 'n' Wild 8-pan palettes.
ReplyDeleteI think this was 2011... Maybelline One By One mascara. :)
ReplyDeleteMy 2011 faves are the Milani baked blushes, L'Oreal Color Riche Le Gloss, Wet 'n' Wild 8 pan palettes, and Neutrogena Naturals Fresh Cleansing + Makeup Remover.
ReplyDeleteRevlon lip butters and Maybelline eraser concealer.
ReplyDeleteI vote for the Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters. I love them and I've heard nothing but raves about them.
ReplyDeleteThe Jordana lipstick/glosses! Easyshines? i think?
ReplyDeleteI think it would be the Garnier anti dark circle roller concealer. It's awesome, I use it everyday. :D
ReplyDeleteFor me it's WnW 8-pans and Revlon Lip Butters.
ReplyDeleteI've got two favorites, but I'm not sure if one of them is a new in 2011... One being the re-release of the Sally Hansen Diamond Strength line, they're awesome! The other being John Frieda Full Repair line.
ReplyDeleteRevlon Lipbutters by far. I never thought I would find MY nude but I did....Creme Brulee. I also love Red Velvet, Berry Smoothie, Peach Parfait....... I just love these!
ReplyDeletemaybelline instant age rewind eraser dark circles treatment concealer
ReplyDeletePhysicians Formula Shimmer Strips Eyeliners. I love them so much despite the long clunky name.
ReplyDeletemaybelline falsies mascara! <3
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh there are so many... Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters, Physicians Formula Happy Boosters, and Sally Hansen Real Nail Polish Strips! I also agree about the Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Gel Creamliners, but I didn't think those were new this year?
ReplyDeleteOh, my gosh, and CoverGirl Lip Perfection Lipsticks! How soon we forget!
ReplyDeleteWnW 8 pan palettes definitely! I am also a fan of Physician's Formula happy booster blush and the eyeliner trios.
ReplyDeleteRevlon Lip Butters, hands down! I am absolutely loving these!

ReplyDeleteWow, so many things! Here are my picks.
ReplyDeleteEyes: Wet n Wild 8-pan palettes
Lips: Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters
Face: Physicians Formula Healthy Wear SPF 50 Powder Foundation
Nails: Sally Hansen Salon Effects Polish Strips
Another for the Milani Baked Blushes and the Milani One Coat Glitters too. Also the Lip Butters...I think we can see which product will win already. Revlon really came up with the perfect lipstick/balm combination there and with the super drying winter coming up. I think I need more!
ReplyDeleteCarmex Healing Ointment lotion. SO GOOD! It's the best thing we've found for my SO's hands that dry out and just crack open for no apparent reason. We've gone through two tubes of the stuff even though a little goes a long way and it smells great. Not a good day lotion, but as an overnight treatment, this stuff is the BEST.
ReplyDeleteMaybelline instant age rewind eraser dark circles treatment concealer in "The Brightener Shade". This covers extremely well and brightens like crazy! Doesn't settle in lines and lasts all day and night. Not too crazy about the other colors but the brightener does it all! HG all the way!
ReplyDeleteyep, agree with Revlon Lip Butters and the Milani Baked Blushes for sure. I also love my Garnier anti-circle roller so too bad that was last year, can I vote retroactively? LOL
ReplyDeleteWithout a doubt, the Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters. I think this is probably the most sought after product of 2011!
ReplyDeleteBoth of my nominations are undereye concealers: Maybelline Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles and Rimmel Match Perfection
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you posted about the Wet n Wild Color Icon trios in January of this year so that's what I nominate! I'm newly makeup obsessed, so hopefully that's right! lol
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm seeing lots of noms for Milani's baked blushes. I'm going to have to try those out! I've been needing some new blush!
How could it be anything other than the Revlon Lip Butters! Lip dryness problem - gone! I am already hoping for them to make more colors!
ReplyDeleteI love the Neutrogena revitalizing lip balm in almost all the colors. Is that new this year? This is my first time "blogging" ever! (I know--I'm a late bloomer)---and I can't wait to get to the nearest drug store and look (and maybe purchase) some of these great products. Of course I'll be waiting until I get my newspaper today to look for coupons! I've got the bug! Thanks G!
ReplyDeleteI nominate the Milani baked blushes and wnw 8 pan palettes!
ReplyDeleteWetnWild 8 Pans for sure, and the Maybelline master drama eyeliner <3
ReplyDeleteI think either the Hard Candy Glamouflage concealer or Revlon lip butters!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to have to hop on the Revlon Lip Butter train. FREAKIN' AMAZING. These are the only "lipsticks" (and I only say that because of the packaging) that I've ever actually made real progress of using up!
ReplyDeleteMaybelline Instand Age Rewind Concealer!!! it really work & i looooove it. it even beats my dior sculpt!
ReplyDeleteThe first thing that came to my mind was Wet n Wild's 8 pan color icon palettes. There fabulous!! The price is so cheap but the product has great quality!
ReplyDeleteMaybelline's SuperStay 24hr color. Truly amazing!
ReplyDeleteI'm a skincare nut and I found Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair products this year...not sure when they appeared on the market. My favorite is the Repair Eye Cream...slowly, gently repairs wrinkles. Also LOVE the new Neutrogena Ultra Sheer LIQUID Daily Sunblock SPF 70. It rivals similar disappearing liquid sunscreens from Clarins, DHC, Shiseido, and other Japanese brands.
ReplyDeleteMakeup is tougher...I do love the new Revlon Colorburst Lipbutters, but my favorite has to be the Revlon Age Defying with DNA Advantage Cream Makeup. Lovely.
Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter!
