Friday Fun: New drugstore products! (warning: pic-heavy)

I know it's technically still Thursday but I found some new products at my local drugstores this week and I am excited to share them with you. If there's anything in particular that you'd like for me to review, leave a comment here and I'll do my best to get them! (Click on the images for super-size pics.)

You can't imagine how excited I was to see THESE at my local Rite-Aid this week! I mentioned them in my weekly round-up last week and I've been obsessed with getting one ever since I read Amber's review on BeautyJunkiesUnite. So...of course I picked one up and I'll review it shortly!

EOS Organic Lip Balms:

Jesse's Girl Baked Powder Eyeshadows:

L'Oreal Colour Riche Anti-Aging Serum Lipsticks:

Prestige Skin-Loving Minerals Collection:

Borghese Tuscan Harvest Collection:

Milani Eye Am Perfect Liquid Liner Collection:

Milani Limited Edition TANtastic Baked Bronzers (there's also one that looks like a cream in a pot):

Milani Neutral Eyes Runway Eyes Palettes and Singles (Milani Fans: Are these actually new colors or just old colors repackaged in a new display?):

I couldn't get a good pic but this eyeshadow single is definitely an Urban Decay Midnight Cowboy dupe:

L'Oreal Carbon Black Waterproof Voluminous Mascara and Carbon Black Lineur Intense Eyeliner:

Physicians Formula Organic Wear 100% Natural Origin Makeup Remover Collection:

Is there anything here that you're excited to buy? Have you tried any of these new products already? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

I have a few questions/requests, R.

- If possible, please add the price on the products you found, just give me an idea how cheap/expensive they are
- Are the Jesse's Girl baked shadows similar to the ones in the Color My World colection?
- What's that shade of Milani single that you said is the UD Midnight Oowboy dupe?

Thanks a bunch

I would love to know how well the Physician Formula works. I have sensitive eyes and a lot of products burn my eye area. If not, thanks for giving us the heads up on the newest products! ;D

I love when you post pictures of the display! Makes it much easier for me if I need to go searching for them. I'd love to see you something from that Prestige display. I think I am starting to really like that brand!

Hey Fay and Arezu! I'm sorry that you might not see these for a while, but hopefully it won't take *too* long for them to reach you! :)

Halifax! Thank you for all the great feedback. Usually if I'm taking pics in the stores, I have to do it quickly and although I try to get the prices in the shot (about half of the pics in the post do show the prices--just click on the image to see them) sometimes I just can't manage to do it. And because I'm taking so many pics, I can't memorize the prices on each item. But I will definitely try to be better about getting the prices into the pics! Regarding the Jesse's Girl Baked Shadows, yes, I do think they're VERY similar to the Color My World collection. The only thing that seems to be different is the packaging, but the texture of the shadows looks extremely similar. I wish I stopped to see the name of the Milani UD Midnight Cowboy dupe! I will try to go back next week and find out for you! :)

Internationally Beautiful: I am very curious about this line as well. But $9.99 is pretty steep for these products so I will wait for a good sale and try to pick some up for review. Thanks so much for the comment! :)

Anon: Thank you so much! Let me tell you that since I am so loving Prestige right now, I actually purchased one of the blushes, which I will review in the near future. :)

You know I am holding my breath to hear your analysis of the EOS balm ;) Let's see if we really ARE sisters from another mother!

Thanks for the updates! Though they really have me itching to buy new stuff when I don't have the money for it, haha! :)

The Milani shadows definitely look like old colors in a new display to me, but I can't be sure without seeing them in person.

The Rite Aids by me are so lame compared to your. One used to be an Eckerds (& I loved it) and since RA took over, the cosmetics aisle has been almost bare. Hopefully they're finally fixing that, since I just saw they put in a whole Jesse's Girl section. :fingers crossed:

Thanks for the great pics of diplays of new stuff. Can't wait to see them in person.

Recessionista! July 17, 2009 7:36 PM

Hey Amber! I think we are related. That's all I'm gonna say for now. :)

JennBee! Sorry to tempt you. lol. Thank you for confirming that this is probably an old color in a new display (I had a hunch). :)

auroragyps! I'm sorry your Rite-Aids are lacking in the beauty dept. That sucks. :( There are a couple of CVS stores in my area that are like that--completely barren and they NEVER have anything new. But I've found that if I go a town or two over, I sometimes hit a goldmine at other CVS locations. Might be worth a try. :)

ndoodles July 18, 2009 12:06 PM

I live in the States & I don't even get some of the stuff here - like the Prestige baked stuff or the Milani bronzers.

Recessionista! July 18, 2009 12:19 PM

Hey ndoodles! I'm sorry that you're not seeing these products in your area. :( Like I mentioned above, sometimes it makes a world of difference if you travel one or two towns over and check out the drugstores outside of your immediate area. That's what I do when I can't find something and I always stumble across new products that I never, ever see at the drugstore closest to me. Hope that helps! :)

Meredith July 20, 2009 5:48 AM

Great post! I am going to put this one up on my blog and link to it - I've had some people email asking what's new at the drug stores, and you have done a fantastic job wrapping all of it up!!

Recessionista! July 20, 2009 9:49 AM

Hey Meredith! Wow, thank you soooo much!! You know I'm a huge fan of your blog so this is a real honor! Thanks again! :)

Sera July 27, 2009 9:29 PM

Did you see L'oreal's HIP Color Chrome Eyeliners?? I picked up 2 different colors, the Violet and Green one. I love them! They're (IMO) comparable to UD 24/7. However, these ones don't crumble, and they stay put on my waterline, as well as when I tightline. They're a bit pricey at 10, but much lower than UD. Just thought you'd want to know!

Sera July 27, 2009 9:29 PM

Lol! Disregard my last post! So sorry!

Recessionista! July 28, 2009 12:17 PM

Hey Sera! lol! Yeah, I did a review of the green one and it ran and smudged like crazy on my eyes. BUT, I am so glad to hear that it works for you! In fact, I am jealous because the color it sooo pretty. I wish it stayed put on my eyes for more than an hour. :( Thanks for the comments!
