Just a few quick Sephora tidbits for you today:
There are some new sale page items here, including the above Clinique Honey, Honey Lip Set for $25 (reg $35; $61 value). This set contains two of the macaron-shaped Sweet Pots lip balm/scrubs (full-size) and 2 deluxe size Almost Lipsticks. The Sweet Pots retail for $19.50 each, so this is a great value at $25 for the entire set. I saw this set on the Sephora site yesterday, but the "add to basket" button was grayed out. Today I was able to add to cart, so it looks like this is back in stock if you missed it yesterday.
The Formula X Delete All Five Finger Nail Polish Remover is now $5 (down from $15). I know a lot of people were raving about this one when it first came out, so I just want to be sure you know it's on sale if you were on the fence about getting it for $15.
The Becca Lowlight/Highlight Perfecting Palette is now $21 (down from $42). The reviews aren't so hot about this one but if you already know you like it, this would be a nice time to get a back-up.
The Tatcha Luminous Luxuries Set is now $65 (down from $79; $96 value). This set contains all full-size products and the cost savings here is a little more than 30%. That's a deep discount for Tatcha since even on Black Friday/Cyber Monday, we only got a 20% off discount on the Tatcha website.

Yes! I snapped up that nail polish remover as soon as I saw it. Finally someone thought of putting 5 holes in one of those jars instead of just one. And for $5? Awesome. I plan on just refilling it with my own acetone as long as the sponge holds up.
I recently made the decision that I won't be retaining my Rouge status for next year. I simply don't see the point. Sephora's promotions and "sales" have been very disappointing. IMO, their Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales were very underwhelming, Sale Section items are often only discounted by $5-$8, and they didn't even do the After Christmas "Sale on Sale."

Forgive me if I missed this, but is Sephora getting rid of Formula X? A staff told me months ago that they were eliminating the black caps (effects topcoats) to make room for more collaborations but now EVERYTHING is gone. I will be so devastated if there is no more Formula X.
I second this. It was so frustrating being rouge and seeing almost every promo lumping in rouge and vib as if they are the same. Plus no extra bday gift last year! Not worth it.

I'm going to Sephora tomorrow after a doctor's appointment and will pick up my b-day gift then...I'm leaning towards the Tarte gift until I get a better look at the other one.

Same here. I was very disappointed by Sephora in 2016. For a few years being Rouge seemed like the best thing ever (rsvp parties, deals, extras,and perks), but not anymore.
Lucky! I ordered on 12/31/16 & chose the Marc Jacobs lipstick set. No Tarte on that day.

My bday used to be set to January 1st with Sephora, I think that is the default. It's really in August. Somehow a salesperson went ahead and corrected this once when I was making a purchase in-store (she probably thought 1/1 can't be my actual bday so asked for my real bday). I didn't want it to be changed though! I liked getting it at the start of the new year every year! AAAHH!!! Haha so I will have to wait until August... but I am definitely getting the Tarte set!
ACTUALLY hmm I was able to add the bday gift to my shopping bag and get pretty far in the checkout process without getting an error about it not being my bday month... I wonder if you can redeem it at any time regardless of your birthday month if you add it to your cart online? I don't have an online purchase to make at the moment so maybe it gives you an error on the final checkout step. Anyone want to test this?
I forgot they do birthday gifts. Haven't received an email about that for several years. I have an Ulta just a couple of miles away, and they seem really interested in keeping my business. Sephora, not really at all.

Christina, everything I've heard (on the Beauty Talk boards and elsewhere) leads me to believe that Formula X is officially discontinued. And since the brand is a division of Kendo (Sephora's "parent company," kinda) I highly doubt Formula X will be sold elsewhere.
However I'd be willing to bet that their products will start showing up at discount stores like TJ Maxx, Ross, etc, very soon! Keep your eyes peeled!
Is that VIB code different from the sale they do in the Spring? I am new to VIB (actually made it to Rouge...yikes....) and don't want to waste a 10% off if I need it for a 20% or 25%. Hopefully that makes sense and isn't a stupid question. I thought I've heard in the past that some of the codes are the same for different promotions.

Ulta is so much better guys. with every point you accumulate and you hit a certain point number you get certain dollars off your purchase instead of just getting samples like sephora. Also you get freebies for buying with them and you get 2x the points on your birthday month. for your ulta birthday you get our free urban decay eye shadow and if you're platinum you get $10 off of your purchase.

I think this is only the second year they've given a choice between a makeup gift and a skincare gift (but I could be wrong!).
I will be completely devastated if the Formula X Delete All nail polish remover is discontinued for good! :( I just saw read this post and rushed online and there's no longer a page for it. It is magical!!! I've been using it for 2 years and absolutely NOTHING on the market removes polish like it does. It must be a combination of the sponge and Formula X's acetone remover that works so amazingly because if you refill it with regular remover it doesn't work. I'll have to visit every Sephora and Sephora inside JCP over the next week to try and buy as many as I can!

Is Sephora discontinuing or reformulating their polishes aka Formula X? I can't seem to find very much on the website and I'm devoted to their nourishing set with the green base coat. Oh no!
