Today at CVS I was picking up a prescription for my boyfriend and saw an endcap in the card and school supply section that had a boxed set of full size Seche Vite and Seche base coat for $8.99....I bought 2 because the normal price for SecheVite at my CVS is over $9 and the base coat is around $6. A Revlon-owned nail polish maker plans to close a manufacturing facility in Beltsville and lay off 117 people, according to a filing Thursday with the state.
Sinful Colors Inc. plans to close the location at 10721 Tucker St., the notice with the Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation said. The layoffs will begin on Jan. 1.
The Sinful Colors brand is owned by United Kingdom-based Mirage Cosmetics, which was acquired last year by cosmetics giant Revlon (NYSE: REV).
Revlon announced last month plans to close a leased manufacturing facility in Maryland, but not disclose the location. The move is intended to improve operating efficiency at the company.
Elise Garofalo, a spokeswoman for Revlon, said manufacturing in Beltsville will be moved to existing Revlon facilities.
E.L.F released more products including a new small tapered brush, a blush and contouring cream set, a daily moisturizing stick, and added two new color schemes to their ultimate palettes. Plus these ultimate palettes will be available at target for the holiday season with their usual holiday type packaging. Can't wait :)

I don't know if this has been mentioned or not, but today I went into one of my many local Rite Aid's and they had 50% clearance stickers on a TON of beauty items. I noticed that all of the LE Maybelline Fall Fashion Week items, such as, the nail polish, color tattoos, Eye Studio Quads, etc were included in this, as well as a couple Sinful colors polishes, NYC LE Summer in City Collection, NYC Color Rush with Expert Last NP, Color Club Neon Crackle, Color Club Poptasic, L'oreal New York Nudes, L'oreal LE London Fall Nail Color Collection, two four packs of the mini Kardashian Kolor's from OPI Nicole, and some other things that I can't quite remember. All of these items were 50%, so ladies get your booties to your local Rite Aids and if they have any goodies there that you've been pining after at your local Rite Aid's! I got two L'oreal polishes that are originally $5.99, plus three NYC Expert Last NP all for only $10 and some change! I can't wait to go to my favorite Rite Aid tomorrow and see what they have for me there!

I know at one of my local Rite Aid's the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure polishes were on sale, but they were showing priced at somewhere around $4.99 or something like that, which is not near as good as what you got them for, but still cheaper than the original price, which I too agree that they are way overpriced. Depending on which place you go to they can come to more than an Essie polish, which I think Essie is far more superior than the SH Complete Salon Manicure line. All of this talk about these being on clearance, I'm wondering if they are rid of them altogether, replacing them with something else, or just revamping the product. Hopefully if it is just a change that they are doing, then the first thing that they change is that horrid brush. :)

I found several ELF nail polishes in Target today ($2.00 each) with no names, just numbers. I purchased a darkish taupe (they also had a lighter one that reminded me of coffee au lait). There was also a black, a dark maroon, a gold, and they were all very pretty. They just possibly may be dupes of some of the Sonia Kashuk polishes. I swatched the taupe on my toenail (LOL) and it covered in 1 coat, was easy to work with, and is a perfect shade for fall (even if I live in Florida, where Fall doesn't really exist). I'm going back for the other shades and I hope they have them!

I was in three different Walgreens today and all the selections of the Sally Hanson Complete Manicure nail polishes were on clearance for either $1.89 or $1.99.

I found the new Color Club Holo Hues collection at a Beauty Plus Salon today for $3.95 each!! I was ecstatic since I had read that these are retailing for $10 . I couldn't resist purchasing the entire collection! lol. These stores seem to be limited to NJ, NY, MA, and CT according to to the information on their shopping bag.

But that is funny, Moira! actually, sometimes I will swatch a polish in the store, but only on paper. Some stores provide swatching papers for this purpose. +D

I visited 2 Walgreens and ALL the Sally Hansen CSMs were on sale for $1.99. It was not labeled as even a sale, let alone clearance. They were labeled $8.49, which is the highest price I have seen in all the stores (Target, CVS, Walgreens).
I asked the clerk to scan them and she was really surprised that they rang up as $1.99. I got Plum Luck (gorgeous, as G said!) and Hidden Treasure, which is not a creme, but a pearly, lovely shade which I'm thinking of trying out as a topcoat over a dark color.

I ended up getting Hidden Treasure and Haute Chocolate because they seemed the most original considering my insane amount of polish at home lol

Re: the new Rimmel clean finish matte.. I bought it and it's a really nice foundation. I already had the original formula, and liked it.. but it was a smidge "moist" for me.. the matte has a bit "stickier" texture so not quite as creamy and a little faster to dry but still blends well, but feels nice and light like the original, similar medium coverage, and I would say a satin finish with less transfer. The color seems to be just a tad darker for the exact same color in the matte vs. the regular. Same "paddle" applicator, which I love... wish all bottled foundations came with it.

I was at a rite aid in la puente ca today and a TON of makeup was marked down! The maybelline fall LE (including the olive martini you reviewed) whole display was on sale. The lipsticks were 3.59 and the eyeshadow quads were 4.79. They also had loreal nail polishes for 2.99 each (the display that includes until the sun comes up LE). The NYC display that came out this summer (with that pretty peach polish, can't remember the name) was all marked down to 99 cents each item. The maybelline color show fall polishes were 1.99 each. The Demeter roll on fragrances were marked down as well. There was a ton of other stuff marked down that I can't remember.
I also made it to big lots yesterday and spotted the whole section of Cosmo girl cosmetics/jewelry/hair accessorys. I picked up some head bands for 3 something plus the 20% off :) I couldn't get picks because my phone died :(

I was at TJMaxx today, and saw a three pack of China Glaze crackles for 4.99. I only found the one, so I don't know if they are scarce or if they just sold out fast. I spotted a collection from Sinful Colors today at a rite aid in southwestern washington state called "Holiday Shimmers". I almost walked on , thinking they were probably all repromotes but they had several colors that were not familiar to me. I picked up : "Winter Wonder", "Nova", & "Faceted". Nova seemed to be a really strong version of China Glaze's "Smoke and Ashes", Faceted is a bar glitter in a blue jelly AND its duochrome! In the store the base seems blue , at home it seems purple and the glitter is irridescent.I love it! Lastly, Winter Wonder looks extremely similar to the OPI polish "On Her Majesty's Secret Service". I don't own any of the OPI "Skyfall " polishes yet so I am not calling it a dupe but I am saying Sinful Colors "Winter Wonder" looks extremely similar to the pictures of OPI'S "OHMSS" I have seen on various blogs.

While scouting locations for Where's the Party?, I noticed a WnW holiday display with holiday lip balms. I didn't think to take a photo at the time, much to my shame. They looked like holiday editions of the Juicy Lip Balms.
I visited my local Dolar Tree but they didn't have the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure polishes sadly. But I did find e.l.f. makeup brushes of varying sizes. And if you use nail buffers they have this two pack 3 way shining nail buffer from California Nails that work fabulously!

If anyone happens to be staying at the Hyatt Regency Resort and Spa in Maui, HI, the shop downstairs called Maui Weekends and having a sale on their entire NYX inventory for $1 each item. I bought 4 jumbo lip pencils but they also had lip liners, eyeshadow singles and triples and also loose pigments.
These sets have been out for a couple weeks now. I went and bought 5 of them as soon as I heard about it! I have been using that serum for a couple years and it works! I only apply it at night before bed, instead of morning and night (which is what is suggested). I have noticed amazing results! It makes my lashes much more healthy and grow a little bit longer. But, the biggest improvement is that my lashes dont fall out nearly as much. So, I have WAY fuller lashes and dont have gaps in them anymore!

Hi G, I just wanted to let everyone know that if you're interested in the WNW GREED,VANITY 6 PAN PALETTES and the purple one I can't remember it's name atm they're in Christmas gift sets @ DOLLAR GENERAL. You get 2 palettes and an eyeliner for $4. Most sets had Greed&Vanity together. There was less sets with the purple palette. They're also several nail polish sets where you get a ridiculous amount of bottles for $5, I think there is 8 or 10 bottles in the set. I hope this helps someone, I believe the 6 pan palettes were discontinued a while back. I bought them for cheap, but I need a backup of the vanity. Sorry for the capital words i'm excited lol

I was in a Bed Bath & Beyond today that has a makeup department, and I saw small countertop displays of holiday collections from L'Oreal and Revlon. The L'Oreal had two new Infallible eyeshadows, Blinged & Brilliant which is kind of like a Stila Kitten type color and another one (name escapes me) that is like a silvery light pewter. This display also had three sparkly nail polishes and 3 or 4 Infallible lip glosses. The red sparkle nail polish is to die for but I already have a similar one from Nicole OPI.
The Revlon display had 4 nail polishes, a few glosses, and an eyeshadow quad. I got nail polishes in Midnight Sparkle (various blue glitter in a dark base) and Ruby Ribbon (which is a recycled name, I think Revlon has already had a Ruby Ribbon in a different formula and it was a completely different color).
I wanted to take pics of these displays but there was a manager right there who was practically breathing down my back.

Hi G - I've become addicted to your blog. You do such a great job. In looking through things I wanted to try and buy on the Drugstore.com 40% off sale, I came across your favorite Foundation: Physicians Formula Healthy Wear Powder Foundation (in the colors you use) - plus they qualify for the 40% off, so less than $9 per unit! I'm going to go ahead and try "medium" and keep my fingers crossed that it'll work with my skin tone. I'm terrible at figuring out what my correct color should be, but hey, it's worth a shot, right? I went onto the Wet N Wild Website and they do provide a listing of different stores that carry Wet N Wild cosmetic products. In addition to that, they do include zip code search engine to see where the closest store would have Wet N Wild. Perhaps that would help the many readers here? Thanks for this. Sadly, it confirms that none of the CVS stores in my area carry WNW at all. Only Walgreen's, Walmart, and Albertson stores have it here in Dallas. I'm bummed. First we have no Rite Aids and now none of the CVS carry the stuff on sale.
