NEW Under $30 Value Sets from Drunk Elephant & Kat Von D at Sephora (Plus New Deluxe Freebie Codes to Go with Them)

UPDATE: thanks to reader Angie in the comments below for letting us know that there are some new Drunk Elephant sets on the Dermstore site HERE and HERE (these are Dermstore-exclusives). Free shipping and samples on all orders at Dermstore (owned by Target).

I know that many of you are waiting for the VIB Sale to make any new Sephora purchases, BUT if you're concerned about things selling out or want to jump on these new deluxe freebies (you won't be able to use any freebie codes during the sale IF you're using the 20% off discount code with your order), then I want to make sure you know about these.

Thanks so much to our resident "Sephora Whisperer" Isu Hapz (@isu1989 on Instagram) for alerting me to these brand spanking new sets and the new 6-piece freebie code (details on that at end of this post)!

(Click a link below to go directly to the item listing)

SCENTSATION  (must spend $25+) - CHLOÉ Fleur de Parfum deluxe sample - .17 oz

PS: I say this in every Sephora post I write, but NOW IS THE TIME if you've been holding off! If you don't already have free shipping due to VIB Rouge status, you should really consider signing up for Sephora Flash if you don't already have it. For $10 a year, you get free unlimited 2-day shipping on all orders. It pays for itself after just two orders. Plus, your subscription starts the moment you add it to your cart, meaning that anything else you buy will ship free. This will come in extremely handy during the VIB sale and all through the holidays.

Thanks again, Isu Hapz, for the hot tips!

    1. You're so welcome, Sasha!! I have that in my cart right now too! I have been dying to try something from OMOROVICZA (way too $$$ for me to buy full size) so I feel like I need to jump on this while that freebie still exists. The pressure!!! Lol. ;)

  2. They also have 2 new Drunk Elephant sets on Dermstore's website. There is one that is $83 but appears to include 4 full sized items (per the oz indicated in the description) and it comes with a little bag.

    2. Thanks! I just put in an order and got 20% off since I've never ordered from them before. The $83 deal looks too good to be true though. I'm waiting for an email to say whoops we screwed up. Thats over $200 worth of products if everything is the size the mentioned.

    3. Soshana, I would LOVE if you could confirm the sizes when you get your order. Some readers on my Instagram mentioned that the total value should be way higher on one of those sets if they are really full-size, since the Firma-C alone is $80. When I posted, I checked my own personal bottle of Firma-C to make sure that 1.0 oz is indeed full-size, and yep, it is. They list the Firma-C as 1 oz on the Dermstore website so that is a crazy good deal unless it was a typo. Either the size is the typo of the value was underestimated, right?

    4. I just order the set #1 above with the 20% off it came to 71.xx such a great steal. Description says full size but with a value of $104. Not sure because if everything were full size the value should be more than that...keep my fingers cross everything is full size. Thanks. I love your blog so much I check multiple times a day. Cannot wait till black friday.

    5. The dermstore website just changed the information on the website for the #1 set. They are not all full size

    6. It looks like the Firma-C may be the only full size item. The B-hydra is 8ml and the Retro whipped cream is 5ml. It says "1 bar" for the juju bar, but I know sephora has 2 sizes of this so not sure if it is full size in this set.

    8. They've updated the listing to reflect the actual sizes. It seems only the vitamin c serum and bar are full size.

    9. I checked on the sizes - from the website:

Drunk Elephant Dermstore Exclusive C-Ing Is Believing includes:

JuJu Bar™ (1 piece.): Fragrance and soap-free, this bar features thermal mud and bamboo to unclog pores and protect essential elements of the skin.

C-Firma Day Serum™ (30 ml.): Evens skin tone and optimizes natural cell regeneration with powerful antioxidants and vitamin D.

B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Gel™ (8 ml.): An anti-aging vitamin B5 gel packed with essential nutrients to provide 24-hour skin hydration.

Lala Retro Whipped Cream™ (5 ml.): A luxuriously thick but airy cream composed of six African oils to offer constant hydration throughout the day.

De Sport Sac: A convenient drawstring bag that's perfect for travel.

    10. I contacted customer service to check, they said the word from the vendor is they will be full size when they come in and that it's a special promotion only through them. I bought two with the 20% off for new customers!

    11. It says in the description of the products that the C serum is full-size, but the other products are sample size. One is 8 ml, which is 0.27 oz, and another is 5 ml, which is 0.17 oz.

  3. Thank you so much for sharing this! I was just looking at trying some Drunk Elephant products, but was hesitant to spend a lot of money. This is perfect! :)

    1. You are so welcome, Kelli! I bought the full-size C-Firma Day Serum and have been using it every other night (I prefer to use at night) for a few weeks now. I have noticed that my skin is looking more clear and bright and I haven't experienced any dryness that some people have said they had with that product. I'm not a huge fan of the scent (sort of a "woody" fragrance) but I'm super happy with the results so far. Hope that helps a bit!

    2. Nice, thanks for the info! That C-Firma Day serum looks good, although I think I'm going to try the Glycolic Night serum first since I have a Vitamin C serum I'm using right now. Thank God I have the Flash shipping! Lol

  4. G, thanks for making me aware. I was just on the Sephora site this morning and made it a point to look under the new arrivals category twice. I didn't see these minis. Maybe they were further down the page. But you would think that brand new items would be closer to the top without you having to search. Anyway, I already placed my order by am considering going back after this!

    1. You're so welcome! And yeah, their new arrivals section is NOT like Ulta's. They do not list *all* of the new arrivals there (trust me, I look at it every day and half the things I post about are never on that page)! I don't know why, but it's just not a good indicator of what's truly new on the website (but I wish it were). To find new value sets, I often just go to the "Gift Value Sets" page and sort by "new". But even then, they don't show up at the top sometimes. That's why I call Isu Hapz the Sephora Whisperer. She had a great ability to find these sets before they're ever on my radar. :)

    2. That's good to know and thank you for validating my experience by sharing yours. I went ahead and purchased one of the gift sets on Dermstore.com. It was a better value for me than the minis, because I actually use the DE products. Was just waiting for a good deal out promo code. I'll keep you posted once I receive the order to let you know if they are, indeed, full-sized products. I got the Drunk Elephant Dermstore Exclusive C-Ing Is Believing.

  5. Do you know when is the mascara madness starts this November?

    1. If you mean the Nordstrom Mascara Madness event, it's on Saturday (11/5)! I am waiting to post a bit later in the week though. If I post now, by the time Saturday rolls around it will be buried by other posts and people will forget (myself included)!

    2. Umm...what is this mascara madness you speak of????? Whatever it is....I like it!!!

    3. Lol Tamiko, once or twice a year, Nordstrom does a promotion where, for one day only online and in-store, you can by ANY three mascaras and one of them will be free (basically a B2G1FREE deal). Of course like with all B2G1FREE deals, you'll get the lowest-priced mascara for your freebie (so it's worth it to buy three that are all around the same price). And if there are any GWP deals with the brands of mascara you're buying, you can get free gifts too (if you're spending enough to qualify, of course). I'll do a big post on Thursday though. :)

    4. Groovy!! Can't wait. I am going to Nordstrom's site and make a list. Between this and the Sephora sale I should be good until Sunday...lol.

  6. Trying to decide here. I chose the Sephora gift card from Ebates yesterday (kind of a paltry sum, though, under $20) and it is burning a hole in my pocket. Probably I will wait until the sale though. I don't have anything I really *need* or even any specific wants, so I am sure I will be happy with whatever I decide to get on the 3rd. (On the other hand, buying stuff I don't need is probably how I ended up Rouge this year...)

    1. Haha. Do any of us really "need" this stuff at this point? I mean, we NEED it, but do we "need" it, if you catch my drift? And I think you do. ;)

  7. Love these sets. I still have plenty of products from the SOKO skincare set, but I still want to try some things from Drunk Elephant. *Sigh* decisions decisions.

    1. Oh girl, I have enough skincare to cleanse, hydrate, exfoliate and brighten a small city at this point. But does that stop me?? Sadly, the answer is no. Lol! ;)

  8. When I first saw that set on Dermstore's website this morning, I thought the same thing, that it was too good to be true. I just checked my order status and it indicates "in fufillment" which it what it usually says when it's about to ship. We'll see what I get.😄

  9. Darn, I just checked the Dermstore Drunk Elephant C-ing is believing deal again, and they changed the sizes from what they were this morning....I figured the full sizes were too good to be true :(

  10. um thank you!!! just purchased the dermstore drunk elephant set with Firma C! Huge steal! Get 3 other products for free! However, I wonder if the reason why this is such a steal is because they are selling the OLD Firma C before it was reformulated. They had a recent reformulation. I wouldnt be surprised if all those bottles of product ended up in places like TJ Maxx or these super saver sets.

  11. I've read beauty editors rave about this brand and customer service reviews on retailer sites are always high. But I never heard feedback from Someone who actually used it. Thanks for sharing. So the hype is real !

  12. Hey everyone! Thanks for all the info about the Dermstore sets. PLEASE take a moment to read my new blog post here about these sets:

  13. I went to look at the Night Bright set earlier tonight so I could add it to myself and it appears to be removed from the Sephora website, at least for me. Any ideas as to what happened? (PS, I was thinking of buying a Viseart eyeshadow palette during the VIB sale. Do Viseart products ever get discounted more than 20%, on any website? It's a big expense so I just wanna make sure I'm saving as much money as possible lol)
