NEW CoverGirl The Super Sizer Fibers Mascara display at Walgreens
(retail: $7.99)
More new CG products! If you're a fan of the original Super Sizer Mascara (which launched exactly one year ago), you might be interested to know that CoverGirl has just launched a new formula: The Super Sizer Fibers.
Many thanks to longtime reader and photo contributor Erica (@mzericalynn5 on Instagram) for sharing this pic of the in-store display she spotted at Walgreens this week. I'm guessing this will be popping up at all of the usual retailers any minute now (if you haven't seen it at other retailers already).

The press info states that there are "29,000 fibers in every tube" to give you "400% volume and length". I found this press image on the Daily Mail website (check out their before-and-afters HERE), so you can get a better look at the brush:
Also, my pal Jen of The Budget Beauty Blog posted a great before-and-after pic on her Instagram HERE (be sure to read her caption for her thoughts about the formula). Jen also mentioned in the comments on her pic that she wears contacts and so far she hasn't experienced any problems with this mascara.
Are you a fan of the original Super Sizer Mascara? Think you'll give this new fiber version a shot?
Thanks again, @mzericalynn5, for the great display pic!
I'm probably one of the few who did not enjoy the supersizer. Did nothing for my lashes.
ReplyDeleteI agree, Randi. The original did nothing for me. In fact, I felt it was annoying because the directions said to roll the handle as you're applying this. For me, it was a pain in the butt so I remember just tossing it after using it a few times. I won't even attempt to try this version.
DeleteI like the original supersizer quite a bit, but it also depends what look I'm going for...I have long thick lashes already, and I would describe the original as BOLD. It definitely is more of a "spiky" mascara but after seeing those ig pics I think it's worth a try! (sidebar, my favorite is rimmel in the lime green tube)
ReplyDeleteI never tried the original one, but after viewing the pics of what this mascara can do with short lashes I'm definitely interested in trying it out.
ReplyDeleteThe brush is definitely a learning curve, but I love the original (I use the waterproof) and I think it's worth it if you're looking for a total lash transformation - haven't found anything I like nearly as much. I find the formula the perfect consistency, and the various parts of the brush actually do a good job of what they're designed for - laying it on thick, and then separating. I tried an experiment where I used disposable traditional brushes with super sizer and it definitely became less impressive.
ReplyDeleteI picked this up yesterday it was stickered as 6.99 rang up 7.49 i forgot cg was bogo of course... Anywaus i didnt like the original i never could get use to the wand and the formula did nothing for me... I used this one today and it gave me length... It clumped my lashes together a bit i went over again and it separated them better...its okay, i still prefer benefit roller lash over any mascara ever and im usually drugstore only
