Maybelline Limited Edition Baby Lips Balm Balls
(retail: $4.99 each at Walgreens)
Maybelline has released a limited edition collection of lip balms in their Baby Lips line called Balm Balls. They share the same packaging and are the exact same size (0.16 oz.) as the Baby Skin Instant Cheek Flush Blushes (CLICK HERE for my review of those blushes). Thanks to two lovely readers, I have lots of pics, and swatches, of these new lip balms for you today.
The new Baby Lips Balm Balls are now popping up at Walgreens stores and Bed Bath & Beyond stores with an extended beauty department. There are four shades in this range:
70 Pretty in Peach
75 Pout of Pink
80 Bit of Berry
85 Kiss of Rose

On the lips, @Beautyliveful said that 70 and 75 are more like clear glossy balms, while 80 and 85 have a subtle yet nice pigmentation. She also pointed out that the packaging does not state that these are limited edition, but the display clearly does state that (see pic at the top of my post).
If you would like to see what these look like on the lips, my pal Jen of The Budget Beauty Blog did a nice review HERE.
Have you spotted these in your area? Do you already own any? I'd love to hear what you think!
Thanks so much, @Beautyliveful and @huckleberriesandhedgehogs, for the great pics and swatches. I really appreciate it!
I feel special! I've loved your blog for as long as I can remember. It is a staple among the beauty social network. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteOMG thank YOU for contributing these great pics! I am so grateful to have you as a reader (and now a contributor!!). xo
DeleteI think I saw them but I thought they were the checkers. Oops!
ReplyDeleteI saw these in an Ulta this evening.
ReplyDeleteI tagged you in these on Instagram a few weeks back.
ReplyDeleteHmmm. They're sort of cute, but the shape bugs me (my purse is already cluttered enough). At least it looks like about the same amount of product (actually a smidge more with this.)
ReplyDeleteIt's so cool to see my pics on here! I've been a reader for a long time so this is a dream come true! I also noticed that the individual packaging didn't say LE but the display did. Also, the display in my store was NOT in the normal beauty section new display area, they were behind the fragrance counter, so if you don't initially see them, don't worry!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the love G! XOXO
ReplyDeleteI own the Kiss of Rose one. It's funny you posted this, because I saw these at Rite Aid and was wondering; "Did G from Nouveau Cheap hear about these already?"
ReplyDeleteI gotta say though, the fact that the cap is not the top part (a fold? a handle? I don't know what to call it) kind of annoys me. I think these would have been cool as twisty balms too (twist up/down).
Aside from that, the pigmentation, at least for me, is best with the original Baby Lips formulas. The neon ones didn''t do it for me, the medicated ones didn't do it for me. I am yet to try the glosses though. Did you make a post/review of those? If not, could you direct me to one?
Can u get em in the uk
