Huge thanks to reader Marsha for this one! Marsha spotted the new Colorstay Shadowlinks at her local Bed Bath & Beyond today, and was nice enough to share a pic:

Revlon Colorstay Shadowlinks
(MSRP: $2.99 each)
These are small, interlocking eyeshadow singles that you can purchase to create your own customized palette. The moment I saw them, I immediately thought of the Sally Girl Connecting Compact Eyeshadows (they slide together in much the same way, it seems). Marsha thought of the Sally Girl shadows too, and even mentioned in her email to me that the Revlon singles are bigger than the Sally Girl shadows (which is nice, because those Sally Girl shadows are tiny).
UPDATE:
Huge thanks to reader Kathryn for the following photos. Kathryn spotted this display at her local Bed Bath & Beyond as well, and was nice enough to share lots of pics with us:

There are 18 shades in this collection and they are broken up into three categories:
Neutrals
Pinks/Plums
Blues/Greens
The Neutrals:

Purple, Lilac, Plum
The Blues/Greens:

Khaki, Gunmetal, Onyx
As you can see, there appears to be a mixture of mattes, shimmers, satins and even a sparkle shade in this collection (Onyx).
Have you spotted the Revlon Colorstay Shadowlinks at your local Harmon or Bed Bath & Beyond yet? I would imagine, since Harmon/BBB seems to be getting the winter releases so early, that it will take a few weeks (if not months) for these to pop up at the usual drugstores--especially since the press release I posted a few weeks ago clearly said this collection was a January 2014 release.
Thanks again, Marsha and Kathryn, for the great sighting and photos. I really appreciate it!
Oh I'm already loving loads of these shades, and definitely for that price point.
ReplyDeleteFirst thing I thought of, too, was the Sally Girl shades!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! Love this!
ReplyDeleteJessica
Sorry, I didn't notice if their were different finishes. I was in a bit of a hurry and didn't look that close.
ReplyDeleteAaah, thank you for getting back to me on that. No worries--I'm just grateful for the pic, Marsha! Thanks again!! :D
DeleteOoh... hoping for swatches soon.
ReplyDeleteThese look awesome! I cannot wait to find these! Revlon has really stepped up their game lately...between these and the perfumed polishes, my bank account is going to be in the negative! Thanks for the pics, G. ;D
ReplyDeleteI'd be excited about this if I liked any of the Revlon shadows I already (wish I didn't) own.
ReplyDeleteYeah I've never been a fan of their shadows. But-- this idea is wonderful. Hopefully some other brands will catch on too.
DeleteI bought the Spun Sugar perfumed nail polish yesterday. I can't wait to try it!
ReplyDeleteOooh, I'd love to know what you think of that scent! :)
DeleteI'm sorry I didn't see your response earlier! The scent was subtle, but definitely sweet like sugar. I was super impressed with the formula - very smooth & lasted several days before the first little chip.
DeleteI kind of like this idea since it allows you to purchase individual shades (I hate when you get a trio/quad and end up using only one of the colors!), but you're talking like $10+ for a trio. Still, very cute and it'd be great if they came in matte!
ReplyDeleteThey do have different finishes. I saw the one's used for Rag & Bone. It appears they have shimmer, matte, and sparkle options.
ReplyDeleteOooh, that's great to know! Thank you for the info!! :)
DeleteI love Revlon :D
ReplyDeleteLol, Emily, I feel exactly the same way! I love Revlon lippies and they have some great eyeliners, but I have yet to meet a Revlon eyeshadow I like.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen makeup at my BB&B. What area of the store have these been spotted? or is it random?
ReplyDeleteSorry if you missed my previous posts about this, but only select BBB stores have an extended beauty department (it's literally like a full drugstore within a store, so if you haven't seen it at your local BBB, you definitely don't have one because you cannot miss it!). You can always call around to all of the BBBs in your area and ask them if they have an extended beauty department if you'd like to know if there's one in your area. Hope that helps!!
DeleteThanks! I really appreciate the reply!
DeleteOh wow!!! How cool!!!
ReplyDeleteI found the new Revlon Colorburst Matte Balms today at the extended beauty section of my local Bed, Bath, and Beyond. In the display, there is matte balms and lacquer balms that are all new. Each variety has 10 shades.
ReplyDeleteMatte balms AND lacquer balms? Ten shades each?!?! You're killin' me over here, Morgan! lol! Thank you SO much for the tip. Oh I hope I can find these soon!!
DeleteNo problem! I also emailed you a few pictures that I snapped while I was there. Nothing too detailed because all of the shade names were on the bottom of the chubby sticks in really small letters haha.
DeleteOhhh color me intrigued
ReplyDeleteIs anyone else disturbed by the pictures of Emma Stone in this display. It looks like the poster for a B horror movie, to me.
ReplyDeleteI hope she's not screaming about the quality of these, lol! I agree, it's pretty strange.
DeleteI noticed it too! I've seen this phenomenom since back in the days of Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangelista, Naomi Campbell, etc. A weird choice of pose for a model, I guess. I have seen more bizarre in the fashion mags in recent times though. Perhaps it's meant to project fierceness and "I am women, hear me roar!" Lol. Looks more like distress. XD
DeleteThere are mattes and shimmers, yes. I didn't write down the shade names, but there were 4 mattes.
ReplyDeleteOne of them is definitely called "Purple". One of the browns was matte, there was a pale off-white/pale yellow/cream matte and there was also a pale pink matte ("Blush", maybe?).
They're $2.49 at my Harmon Face Values.
I have enough eyeshadows but this looks so cool. Will wait for swatches!
ReplyDeleteTaupe, Oyster, Blush, Candy, and Lilac! Oooh I wanna get my hands on you!
ReplyDeleteHi I brought two of these eyeshadow today and I wanna let you know how it is! I have to say that these eyeshadow are not very pigmented... even though the color are great and the idea are brilliant. you need to layer it to build a pretty look. I brought Taupe and Java. Taupe is "satin" color, which is more silky than Java, which is a "pearl" color. I have to use primer (UDPP) to make the color pop out when I used them on my eyes. Also I brought the new Lacquer balm! I'm not the matte fans so I didn't buy the matte color. I brought the Demure and Tease. Those are really, really good! They are more moist than the previous line(the Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain) and pretty!! Oh and the "toothpaste" smell problem in the previous version is not in this one! Even though it seems to still have a slightly minty flavor in it, it's much better and acceptable than previous line. Highly recommend to everyone! I brought all of them in Walgreens near me, and its BOGO 50% now! I will send the picture to your mail box:)
ReplyDeleteI just found these yesterday at Riteaid! Yay!!!!
ReplyDeleteI finally found these at Walgreen's. There was a full display and the clerk said they completely sold out of their first shipment. I haven't worn them yet (will be sure to use primer) but am so happy to find a "build your own palette" that doesn't require you to pay $10+ for an empty hunk of plastic to put the eye shadow pans in.
ReplyDeleteI got Blush (matte), Candy (pearl), Lilac (pearl), and Cocoa (satin) and think they'll be great for my brown eyes. Might go back and get some of the warmer colors for more of a fall look. Hope they're popular and come out with more colors -- I'd like to see a matte navy blue and more pinks.
P.S. Just realized that my store's display had 24, not 18, shadows. I went back and checked. Don't remember all the colors but there's also a Chocolate (matte), Charcoal (matte), and Melon (satin). Of the ones I've gotten, the mattes and satins are fine but I don't care for the metallic or pearl ones. Too rough and chalky, poor pigmentation.
