Spotted: New CoverGirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation SPF20

Remember a few weeks ago when I showed you the new CoverGirl concealer balms and the new foundation? Well today I have pics of the foundation display to share with you, thanks to reader Amber of Sweet Pea in the Snow:

New CoverGirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation SPF20

If you missed my original post about this new foundation line with a great bottle shot from reader Mikey, I'm VERY excited to try this product for several reasons: it comes in a pump bottle, it contains SPF20, it claims to be a foundation, primer and concealer all in one AND it seems to be extremely similar to the much-praised Max Factor FaceFinity 3 in 1 Foundation. This should be no surprise since P&G owns both Max Factor and CoverGirl, but since we in the US no longer have easy access to Max Factor, this will be our equivalent foundation. So if you've been reading good reviews for the Max Factor foundation (such as this one), you'll be able to get the CoverGirl version if you live in the US.

I believe that Amber spotted this display at Ulta, but I literally just spotted it at Rite Aid today, so it looks like it's starting to pop up all over the place.

Thanks so much for the great sighting and pics, Amber!

  1. wow look at all the skin tone variation and shades for women of color!

    not.

when will drug store companies get it together with their face products?

    1. I was thinking the same thing. So disappointing.

    2. They do have it for women of color, they have the same foundation in their Queen collection, there r supposed more shades

      http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=452118&catid=183551&cmbProdBrandFilter=56772

Also that display only has a few shades (they have more than one of one color)...online you can see there r more shades, they will probably be released later on
      =)

    5. i am not sure if the covergirl queen collection is available in united states or not but it's same thing but for people with deeper skintones!!!

  2. I hope this foundation comes in a shade light enough for my skin tone. I think I am usually 1 shade lighter than you G. This foundation looks *fabulous*!!! Can't wait to try it!

    1. I am SUPER pale (many foundations don't come pale enough for me) and the lightest one of this is my HG foundation. Give it a try! Get it at CVS just in case it still doesn't work so you can return it.

  3. We aren't their target demographic, therefore we don't exist.

Women of color need to actively come together, and DO something about it. I remember reading something somewhere that said these makeup companies claim a lack of sales in darker shades, so therefore they don't sell them.

Well duh!! We don't make up even HALF of the country, but we still live here and use makeup. This is ridiculous. We wanna be excited for new products too!

-sigh- Sorry to rant. G I love your blog, we're just all getting more and more frustrated with these companies at this point. :/

  4. Marissa, I think they do have this for deeper skin tones. It's the Queen Collection All Day Flawless Foundation. Different name, same ingredients. If the Queen Collection is sold in stores near you (I don't pay that much attention to them since Cover Girl is my least favorite drugstore brand).

  5. I just picked this bad boy up at Target, and it is some SERIOUS coverage,at least on me.It is not a very moisturizing formula, but it does cover everything on my face.It also wore really well and didn't get greasy or orange on me.It is really heavy stuff but I liked it.It is not something I would wear everyday though,I feel like I need something a little more sheer for everyday.

  6. @ Marissa,I saw some darker shades at my Target:)

  7. I just spotted (and bought from :-) a display at my local Walgreens (in Atlanta) and the shades go waaaaay darker than what's shown in that picture, above. The darkest shade I saw was 'Sable' but the SA was still putting them out and there were still two empty slots where one would assume even darker shades would go. Also, a little Googling reveals that CG's Queen line appears to be releasing an identical product in darker shades: http://www.target.com/p/covergirl-queen-collection-all-day-flawless-foundation/-/A-14323642
The ingredients (http://dailymed.nlm.nih.gov/dailymed/drugInfo.cfm?id=76923) are absolutely identical to those in the bottle I just purchased in 'Creamy Natural'.

  8. I bought this as an alternative to Revlon's ColorStay, which I just don't like (loved the ColorStay Active Light though). I'm testing it out now. As Amber notes, the coverage is rather heavy. I think I'll end up only using this when I really need long wear or extra coverage.

  9. I just bought this in nude beige. Serious coverage, but not for the dry skinned ladies. I prefer a full coverage foundation so I'm happy with this, but am going to need to moisturize more than usual on days that I wear this.

    1. It sounds like the Kat Von D foundation. My skin was dry as the desert. It's like the high amount of pigment sucks up any moisture or oils.

  10. Because most drugstore brands are in so many stores and spend so much on ad's , their product/shades often lack something. That's why it's so hard to find very light or very deep tones in foundation. I hope Flower Cosmetics will make up for it. That's the first affordable brand I've been excited about in a long time.

  11. I just bought this at Target today! Only $4.99, plus I had a $1 coupon. I got the lightest shade, 805 Fair. I haven't tried it out yet but Carmar mentioned above that it's drying...that's worrisome, my skin's dry enough as it is! Well we shall see...

    1. I am NC 20 and I bought this shade in Nude Beige and it was a dead on color match for me.

  13. I picked this foundation up the other day after seeing a few reviews and I have to say so far I am LOVING it! I have really Oily skin and this works great to control my oil! It last's a long time too! The longest I've worn it so far is 8 hours and it held up great!

  14. I bought this foundation the other day and so far I am loving it! I have super oily skin and it controls my oil really well. I have been wearing it for 8 hours today and it is still holding up, and I even forgot to set my face with powder, which almost always results in an oily mess by now! Gonna have to give it more time to know for sure but this may be my holy grail foundation!

  16. Not just a nice foundation.. a wonderful one, especially for normal to oily skin. Lightweight yet very good coverage. Just a light layer covered almost everything, I could easily have gotten full coverage no problem. Feels like nothing on the skin. No problems with flakes or dry patches. Blends beautifully. Does not budge all day. Very matte, yet not "mask like". Really nice pump bottle. Great color range. Special kudos to CG for the consistency in their shades between formulas.. I've worn Buff Beige in other formulas, picked the same shade here and it's a perfect match. That is rare, and really nice. Just became my new HG matte foundation.

  17. I have a trouble time matching up to foundations and my Walmart doesn't have testers. I'm a NC30(yellow undertone) and thought I could wear soft honey but I find it a shade too dark and a little orange looking. Does anyone know what color would match?

    1. shade medium beige 842 may work for you. I'm NC 35-37 so I have to mix medium beige and soft honey together for my shade.

    2. I am nc30 and I got 842 and I thought It was too light and too pink.

  18. I ordered mine online (just arrived yesterday) and I really really like this foundation. I paid $8.49 (free shipping!!) and the color I got was Nude Beige. It is a dead on match for NC 20-25 skin tone. I have oily skin so I ended up using more powder during the day but I'm used to that anyways.
