Too Faced Label Whore/MAC Club dupes

OK, so the very first thing I heard, back when the Wet n Wild Pixie Holiday palettes first surfaced in September, was that the shade located on the bottom left corner of the Night Elf palette was a dupe for MAC Club (I think JenJen was the very first person, at least to my knowledge, to make that connection). I've repeated that tidbit many, many times on this blog since then, but it's always worth repeating because it's a great find.

Then I started hearing that the shade in the Night Elf palette was also a dupe for Too Faced Label Whore, which make perfect sense because MAC Club and Too Faced Label Whore are so close in color. And THEN, after seeing Jamie's post, I was reminded that the L'Oreal HiP Pigment, Intrepid (which is currently 75% off at CVS and is probably being discontinued so hurry if you want it), is ALSO a dupe for MAC Club and Too Faced Label Whore. Whew!

So the bottom line is this: if you're looking for a reddish-brown eyeshadow with a green-teal shimmer/sheen, you've got options, baby! You can purchase MAC Club for $14.50, you can purchase Too Faced Label Whore for $16, you can purchase the Wet n Wild Pixie Holiday Palette in Night Elf for $4.99, or you can purchase the L'Oreal HiP Pigment in Intrepid for $12 (dollar for dollar this is the cheapest option if you've got a CVS near you and can get there ASAP to get it for 75% off, which brings the total down to $3).

If you would like to see just how close the Night Elf shade is to Too Faced Label Whore, my lovely reader Sylvia O. recently sent me some extremely convincing pics:

Sylvia said that Label Whore is one of her favorite go-to eyeshadow colors, and that the only difference between the WnW shade and Label Whore is that the WnW shade is "missing the small amount of  glitter that is in the Too Faced shade" but that "the glitter really doesn't ever make it onto your eye anyway."

Sounds like an awesome, and very close dupe to me!  Another huge thanks to Sylvia for the great comparison swatches!

And since I recently purchased L'Oreal HiP Intrepid AND the Wet n Wild Night Elf palette, I thought I'd show you a side-by-side comparison of the two:

Looking at these side-by-side on my arm, I seriously cannot see a difference. I think that if you want a MAC Club/Too Faced Label Whore dupe,  it really boils down to what you prefer: loose pigments or pressed shadows. They are both fabulous and if you were wanting the Night Elf palette exclusively for the Club/Label Whore dupe, I just want you to know that you've got another option with Intrepid (but again, hurry and get it for $3 at CVS while you can!).  Of course, there are so many other stunning shades in the Night Elf palette that I would certainly never try to talk you out of picking that up too, if you can find it!

Do you own any of the four eyeshadows mentioned in this post? Which is your favorite? I'd love to hear from you!

  3. I JUST picked up Intrepid. Plus if people prefer pressed shadows -they can always press it! I pressed another L'Oreal HIP Shadow and they works fine. Intrepid is the cheapest of the dupes mentioned.. P.S. I got mine for $3.24! I guess the deals are better where you live.

  4. Wow, great find! I can't find the WnW palette anywhere, so I'm probably going to go with L'Oreal HiP.

  5. When I first saw the WNW palette I was so excited since the color is a dupe for Mac's Club which I think is a really unique color. But I bought the Too Faced Enchanted Glamourland palette and noticed that Label Whore is a super similar color as well so I'll be skipping the WNW palette since that was the only color I was interested in anyway :)

Here's a swatch i did of Label Whore!

  6. I don't own any of the colors mentioned above because I always find a wonderful blogger who finds a dupe for that expensive stuff! I'm all about a good bargain!

  7. Is it also a dupe for UD's Lounge? I've seen lounge in Ulta, but the shadow is so dried up that it doesn't swatch properly.

Thank you for posting swatches! I actually own both the wet n' wild palette and intrepid and didn't realize the shadows were dupes. It's a gorgeous color so I don't mind having more than one. :D

  8. lol. pretty color. looks sooo warm on my skin tone though, but i still love it. i have the twofaced, the hip pigment, and the WnW palette. haha. the only thing i do not like about the twofaced, is that i get faaaalllooouttt, it almost has that ...crumbly(?) like texture so i just foil it now. i bought the hip pigment yesterday because it was on sale so i say "hey what the heck".

to Sara: i think UD lounge is a little more reddish brown, but pretty damn close. im not sure though, every time i see it thats what it looks like to me.

  9. I've been wearing this color since I got the WnW palate. I love how grungy rock star it makes me look!

I picked up two Intrepids and might pick up a few more because I think it might just be my new signature shade! the red makes my green eyes pop! gah I could go on and on!

  10. There are probably hundreds of dupes for this color since it's a mass market mica available from most wholesalers.

What it comes down to is pigmentation and performance.

Any way, it's a great color but I'd never pay more than $5 for it (looking at you TF and MAC).

  11. Thanks for this post I was really looking to try the Falsies mascara :D

  12. The Falsies mascara? Okay, I'm so confused that I think you might have caused me brain damage, Diana.

I picked up Intrepid but put it down because it looked the same as the one in my WnW palette. lol I guess it is the same! I got two other pigments for $3.19, a little better than kali, but G, your CVS still has the best prices!

  13. You know that shade in that palate right above the Mac Club dupe? well it looks a whole lot like Mac's Vex! Not sure why I just noticed this as I own both lol. I'll send some comp pics!

  14. there's also a mac club dupe in the new profusion kit they are selling at walgreen's for 15 bucks. i swatched it next to my club dupe from the wnw night elf palette- perfect match!
