Sand beige in normal/dry looks 2 shades darker than sand beige in combo/oily. sushirollhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06320744440093479977noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-923437194678664102.post-43023672580671752492016-03-09T00:33:18.317-08:002016-03-09T00:33:18.317-08:00I think they changed the shades for the normal/dry...I think they changed the shades for the normal/dry formula. I don't see any changes in the combo/oily formula. I have to mix 2 shades in the combo/oily, sand beige and buff. Sand beige is really neutral grey. I add a tiny bit of buff which is lighter and and a touch more yellow to make it less grey. I wish they made sand beige a yellow undertone. Revlon always do this, whenever they change packaging, they always change the formula and everyone hates it. sushirollhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06320744440093479977noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-923437194678664102.post-45999306297625394132016-03-06T11:47:54.066-08:002016-03-06T11:47:54.066-08:00I have worn Colorstay Normal/Dry for so many years...I have worn Colorstay Normal/Dry for so many years, and love it - color (Nude in winter, Buff in summer) is perfect and lasts all day. I just received my first pump bottles - both colors are different (darker) than the original shades, which I still have on hand to compare. The new bottle of Nude is even darker than the old bottle of Buff. I am so disappointed. The pump is a great idea but not if the color changes. The pump is nice. It's the exact same formula as the 2013 reformulation. The shade is the same too. We already got a pump in Australia back in 2013 when they reformulated it. I don't know why it took so long for the US market to get one. Now I've been reading reviews how some of the shades are darker now with the new pump. Don't know, it could be the normal/dry formula that's been changed. I don't see any difference in the new pump combo/oily bottle. Anyway I'm all happy now, peace and order has been restored, I can now happily use my Revlon colorstay foundation. The 2013 reformulation has more silicone in it so it provides more slip but it's less coverage now compared to the old softflex SPF 6 formula. Anyway, I hope the new pump will make Revlon colorstay foundation more popular again, it's not as popular these days because everyone has moved on to L'Oreal, Maybelline and all these high end/trendy brands like too faced, urban decay etc. I can now say I'm firmly back with Revlon colorstay now.sushirollhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06320744440093479977noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-923437194678664102.post-60400310849759568942016-02-22T04:10:51.578-08:002016-02-22T04:10:51.578-08:00Are the shades still the same? If that's true, then it's good news for me, Sand Beige has always been a tad grey for me, a hint of yellow would make it my HG. I am getting impatient, i am only seeing the new bottles in the dry/normal formula but none of the oily/combo have got it yet. sushirollhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06320744440093479977noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-923437194678664102.post-9310703862628640352016-02-13T07:39:17.172-08:002016-02-13T07:39:17.172-08:00I just got a pump bottle from Amazon, and was surp...I just got a pump bottle from Amazon, and was surprised so I googled and ended up here. The formula is totally different. It is much lighter in texture and very blendable now. So far I like it, but I am afraid the formula will break me out as most other drugstore foundations tend to. I am happy about increased SPF though. Not sure on the lasting power on my super oily skin since I've only used it a couple of times.fightermom777https://www.blogger.com/profile/15284368346323396991noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-923437194678664102.post-28822701466868009552016-02-05T03:30:02.752-08:002016-02-05T03:30:02.752-08:00Is the new pump bottle formula the same as the ref...Is the new pump bottle formula the same as the reformulated version? Or did they revert back to the old softflex version? If you bought the new pump bottle, can you post the ingredients? I'm dying to know if they changed the formulation. I actually don't mind the reformulated 2013 version, now that I have drier skin due to ageing, I'm finding it glides on better. I'm actually hoping they don't revert back to the old softflex formula. The old softflex formula has water as it's first ingredients whereas the reformulated version has silicone (cyclpentaxisolane, wrong spelling but it's something like that)as the first ingredient. Anyone who bought the new pump bottle, check the ingredients and please tell. And in Australia, we got the pump version already in 2013, don't know why it has taken so long for the US market to get it.sushirollhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06320744440093479977noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-923437194678664102.post-38298422495121636582016-01-25T14:26:27.087-08:002016-01-25T14:26:27.087-08:00I'm not sure what they changed but I'm ent...I'm not sure what they changed but I'm entirely breaking out in an itchy rash on my face since changing to the pump. I am 58 years old and have tried many, many foundations over the years; both high end and drug store brands. Revlon Colorstay has been the absolute best for me. I hope the new formula isn't "monkeyed" with. I currently use the Sand Beige in Normal/Dry. I have tried transferring the foundation into a bottle that has a pump, but it is messy and time consuming and I am not sure it is worth the effort.
Mousiejackhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02670921040197117468noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-923437194678664102.post-44652416525142828502016-01-08T11:54:12.838-08:002016-01-08T11:54:12.838-08:00As a longtime user of Revlon Colorstay, I was quit...As a longtime user of Revlon Colorstay, I was quite excited when I came across the new pump bottles at our Walmart in NC! It's TERRIBLE. Haven't bought a bottle since. It used to be called Revlon Colorstay with Softflex SPF 6- that was the bomb, stayed on all day. This one has been reformulated with a higher SPF (SPF 15 for the combo/oily and SPF 20 normal/dry) with more slip and silicone to make it easier to blend. But it’s terrible, doesn’t last at all, 5 hours at most and the shades are much more paler. I wear Sand Beige in the old formula, fits me perfectly but the new one in the combo/oily formula is so pale! In the end i gave up on the new formula, i went and snapped up all the remaining old Colorstay at a local discount store. People were complaining about how hard it was to apply the old formula but I never had any troubles- use a sponge or blender and you’ll get the most natural full coverage ever. And use an oil based makeup remover to get it off. Simple.

And i noticed they did indeed changed the formula in America too but they kept the old bottle, no pump so it created a bit of confusion because Revlon didn’t even bothered to confirm they changed the formula. And they removed the SPF, it doesn't state that it has SPF on the bottle anymore, that's how you tell if it is the old or new formula. SPF 6 = old formula. No SPF = new formula.

Sorry about this long rant but I’m disappointed that Revlon has decided to change this iconic product, they should of kept the old formula and just added a pump to it. I still have a stockpile of the old ones but I’m alternating with other brands such as Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation and Covergirl Aquasmooth. I’ll reserve Revlon Colorstay for extremely hot summer days.
sushirollhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06320744440093479977noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-923437194678664102.post-61434122293704802592014-10-05T02:51:11.730-07:002014-10-05T02:51:11.730-07:00FINALLY!FINALLY!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
