I use creamy baby oil to remove heavy makeup, then wash with the cleanser once to remove most of the oil, a 2nd time with the Clarisonic, and if the Clarisonic comes back super dirty, a 3rd time with a baby washcloth. It's the one thing that doesn't dry out my skin. If it was a super light makeup day or no makeup day, the baby washcloth is enough with 1 wash. :)Kathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18268883649713099764noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-923437194678664102.post-51528321322048859342014-10-10T16:35:34.674-07:002014-10-10T16:35:34.674-07:00Super-duper oily here, I mean I could go into buss...Super-duper oily here, I mean I could go into bussiness with Crisco, no joke! My staple for years (and I always go back) has been Dr. Bronner's liquid castile (all varities except almond work wonders for me.) Thing is, I'm always game for trying new things and so quite often I change it up. Lately I've found some othere washes that I just LOVE! Palmer's makes a gel cleanser in a clear bottle w a peach coloured pump (sorry don't have exact name on me) and it worked great for me. I forgot to mention that besides being dreadfully oily, I do get the monthly hormonal spot or two which is totally okay by me since many yrs ago I suffered terrible (mostly cheek) acne.BubblegumBengalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14352686099514752202noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-923437194678664102.post-45047831115865595492014-10-10T16:25:14.079-07:002014-10-10T16:25:14.079-07:00I have a few suggestions, if I may...one would be ...I have a few suggestions, if I may...one would be the Dr. Bronner's liquid castile soap in baby mild formula. You mentioned that you like Cetaphil but that it leaves you oily, have you seen the Cetaphil for oily skin? The packaging is very similar but is says for oily skin and is a gel as opposed to lotion based. Most stores sell the "compare to" versions of both, so that's an option too (Whole Foods makes their own and the brand is called 365.) Another is a recent fav of mine, it's by Palmer's and it comes in a clear bottle w a peachy coloured pump, not sure of the exact name (sorry I'm not home now) but I think it has the word sensitive on it. You really want a wash that does just that, something that simply cleanses and doesn't treat as your using some heavy duty stuff for that anyway. Oh, I just remembered another good one, it's a facial cleanser by Sebamed, BubblegumBengalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14352686099514752202noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-923437194678664102.post-59109898929042665502014-10-10T15:40:37.765-07:002014-10-10T15:40:37.765-07:00I have combination (super oily t-zone and extra dr...I have combination (super oily t-zone and extra dry cheeks), mildly sensitive, and acne prone (mainly hormonal, cystic-like acne along my right jawline) skin. I never thought I'd still be battling acne in my mid-30s! I'm currently on my second tube of Alba Botanica Good & Clean Gentle Acne Wash and I love it. It has 1% salicylic acid and I've noticed that my hormonal breakouts aren't as bad and are happening with less frequency.

Also, twice a week, in the shower, I've been using St. Ives Pink Lemon and Mandarin Orange scrub. It's very creamy and gentle, so it doesn't give me the amount of exfoliation I prefer. I've been following it up with Freeman Charcoal and Black Sugar mask. I use the Freeman mask opposite of how the instructions say to use it, though - I use it as a scrub first and then once the sugar is dissolved, I let it sit for 10-15 minutes while I finish up my shower.

My skin looks better now than it has in years.whateveramberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06529667138792075664noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-923437194678664102.post-19094974893368040512014-10-09T21:44:21.949-07:002014-10-09T21:44:21.949-07:00Combination skin. I honestly have no idea why they call it a foaming cleanser, because it is a cream texture. I use it as a makeup remover and facial cleanser, because I can't be bothered with an additional step. However, my skin is terribly sensitive and everything burns it! I used to use the Clinique 3 Step, but my skin can't handle the toner anymore! It burns so bad! Also, I can't use much of Neutrogena's products anymore, anything with grapefruit scent burns. I had to throw out all my acne washes and all my burts bees grapefruit wipes and go back to basics.
I am on doxycycline pills for acne, and epiduo, so my skin is super sensitive. I really love the Clearisil Hydra Blast wash now! It's really creamy, like Pond's cream, and it foam up really well. I just splurged on CeraVe fash wash... we'll see how it works. Also, I've tried Cetaphil, and it makes my skin soft, but also leaves it oily. I currently use SoapBox All Natural Bar Soap with African Shea Butter & Sea Salt Black Soap. It is amazing! It keeps my acne at bay and really gets the oil and dirt out of my skin. After I wash my skin, I use Dickinson's witch hazel toner, then Simple Ultra-light Gel Facial Moisturizer.

Two to three times a week, I do use a homemade facial scrub. It includes Organic brown sugar, raw natural honey, Trader Joe's Tea tree oil, Trader Joe's Vitamin E, and juice squeezed from a lemon. I wash my face with my soap, then do the scrub. The scrub is so moisturizing that I don't have to apply a moisturizer after I scrub. When I tell you that my skin has changed drastically since using this! It looks brighter, less breakouts, and I've even noticed that my makeup application is easy and stays on longer. Try it out!

PS I apologize for the long comment, but this one just spoke to me! I'm not too loyal to any one cleanser. A lot of time I'll go for a moisturizing bar with ingredients like honey and chamomile or calendula. Sometimes I'll use a lavender-infused oil or jojoba to remove makeup. Or I'll use something like Cetaphil. I mainly look for stuff that doesn't have added fragrance and won't leave my skin feeling stripped.Heidihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18033363994944900685noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-923437194678664102.post-46610010056627354972014-10-08T13:44:28.951-07:002014-10-08T13:44:28.951-07:00My current facial cleanser is the First Aid Beauty...My current facial cleanser is the First Aid Beauty Skin Rescue Deep Cleanser with Red Clay.
