It's important that you use the Loew-Cornell brand, however. This is the youtube video that got it allll started (in it, he directly compares Loew-Cornell to MAC brushes): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D9lPfKzQAXE

Also, I don't buy eyebrow gel or an eyebrow comb. I take my Maybelline define-a-brow pencil (the comb side) and then some hair gel I happen to have lying around (right now it's Garnier 'define curls' gel) and squirt a little, AND I MEAN A LITTLE, into your palm, using the comb side with a layer of that gel to style your eyebrows. Not that I think eyebrow gel is terribly expensive, but if I can save myself $6.99 by using this method (college student, here), I will.Tracyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15783138905849219799noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-923437194678664102.post-72979186733499269922012-04-03T19:35:10.630-07:002012-04-03T19:35:10.630-07:00- A somewhat common one is to use castor oil for p...- A somewhat common one is to use castor oil for promoting eyelash growth and eyebrow growth
- I use hand cream (doesn't matter what kind) as conditioning masks for my hair originally because I just didn't think they were that great on my hands but I wanted to use them up and today I used cold cream. Works great and feels like I got some expensive product's results. Anything oily that promises to "reconstruct" things or improve collagen production/has some sort of protein seems to work well for this.
- I mix glycerin and water in a spray bottle as an alternative to MAC Fix+.
- I dab (do NOT rub) vaseline over my spot acne cream/treatment (currently using either queen helene mint julip mask or clearasil adult acne vanishing cream) and this ALWAYS, without fail, dries the sucker up within 2 nights. There is a huge difference when I rub instead of dab: sometimes there is no change or the pimple gets worse but when I dab it goes away.
- Just putting this out there, I have a dupe for Nars Albatross. There is an almay eyeshadow trio for green eyes (intensify or eyelight or some sort of series like that) with a whitish highlighter shade in it that has a gold shimmer/sheen. I have the old packaging for it so it is rectangular and very large but the newer packaging makes it in this rainbow-like shape. It is just as smooth and has the same superfine shimmer as Nars Albatross but the slightest bit less pigmented (imo, how a highlighter should be pigmented).
-I use paintbrushes I bought from Michael's as face/eye brushes. It can be a lot cheaper and exactly the same as some MAC brushes.
-Tap your brush into white powder eyeshadow to lighten your powder? This might be common but my very pale friend has a lot of trouble finding light-nearly white good face powders. I told her she can easily just tap into white eyeshadow and the problem was solved.pulsesynchttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15404136333948199809noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-923437194678664102.post-61319957612080913672012-04-03T11:21:40.262-07:002012-04-03T11:21:40.262-07:00I got a GWP cream concealer that didn't match ...I got a GWP cream concealer that didn't match my skin tone. It seems more nourishing that any commercial cuticle oil I've ever tried. I also use a cheap concealer stick as eyeshadow primer. I'm sure it doesn't work as well as Urban Decay, but I don't wear eyeshadow that often so spending money on an eyeshadow primer wasn't worth it to me. Beer really is a great rinse to give you shiny hair, just make sure you leave the beer open for a while so it gets flat. The bubbles aren't good for your hair. If I've been drinking beer though, there's likely to be a "wounded soldier" (half full can or bottle) the next morning already decarbonated, so I put it to use on my hair instead of pouring money down the sink. I'm really intrigued by the suggestions for deodorant as shaving bump preventative, but I draw the line at kitty litter on my face.Maryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15863500899023111035noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-923437194678664102.post-9257089390130268872012-03-31T22:10:06.691-07:002012-03-31T22:10:06.691-07:00I would love to find a natural/cheap/alternative p...I would love to find a natural/cheap/alternative product for heat protection for hair.
