I had a gift card from Christmas and figured "why not?" It didn't cost me anything and barely made a dent on the amount of the card. In all the tutorials I've watched using brushes like the Artis or O brush the instructors always have a better result by sparingly applying foundation(you'll need less than before) to your skin first and then with circular sweeping motions with the brush buffing it in. I haven't tried the O brush yet but with the Artis I had to get used to using a lot less product than before.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12904417655009623099noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-923437194678664102.post-8914696103909986272016-01-08T09:21:15.606-08:002016-01-08T09:21:15.606-08:00The artis brush feels so soft and looks beautiful....The artis brush feels so soft and looks beautiful. On the super cheap brush the bristles are inconsistent and the brush is just black plastic. One side of the brush on the dupe feels very stiff. It does smooth out makeup nicely though just not as quickly and evenly as the artis. I still recommend getting an oval 7 if you are thinking about purchasing the brush mainly for foundation application. The oval six does the job but won't do it as fast as the seven since it's smaller. The artis brush gives a really nice buffed look to powder mineral foundation and applies other powders nicely.I didn't see that with the cheap dupe. It worked better with liquid. You'll use a lot less makeup using the artis since it won't suck up product. This is great if you find yourself having to use an expensive foundation.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12904417655009623099noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-923437194678664102.post-16261644089771666012016-01-07T11:14:14.845-08:002016-01-07T11:14:14.845-08:00It is super dense and super soft. I like the suggestion below about using it for contouring. That might be a better use for me than trying to use it for foundation.Kristinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03780548688502607153noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-923437194678664102.post-51673494397606653442016-01-07T10:03:55.815-08:002016-01-07T10:03:55.815-08:00I think I got this set, it was years ago.

At the time, it was $18 on Amazon prime. I'm still on the fence about it. I like how it feels, but it seems to not blend my foundation as evenly as my other brushes. User error, I'm sure. I need to play with it some more and try it with some other products before I make up my mind. If I put foundation on the back of my hand and pick it up with my brush from there, I have found it works best to "bounce" this brush in the foundation rather than swirl or buff. I'll get you the name. I also ordered one of those plastic squeeze bottles that Sephora uses for their makeup remover( for customers). Its called a tattoo hand cleansing bottle, or something like that. It came from China, was 1.30 and free shipping. I poured my eye makeup remover in it and now its so easy to just squeeze it out instead of opening and closing the makeup remover bottle. Not bad considering the 6 is close to 50 dollars.I bought the set for myself for my birthday. I wish I had waited because not long after artis came out with the oval 7 which in my opinion is the perfect size. The six is smallish and the 8 and 10 are enormous. I've tried a super cheap dupe since. It was about 4 or 5 dollars on amazon. I've been wanting to try a mid priced dupe like this O brush, missha brush or etude brush.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12904417655009623099noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-923437194678664102.post-58254270181016950012016-01-06T15:57:58.002-08:002016-01-06T15:57:58.002-08:00I have the cheap ebay one. You have to clean it though after every use cause it soaks up product like a mug and gets cakey quick. But it beats paying $60 bucks for a brush you might not even like. I love mine. Oh, and I rub my foundation in pretty hard. It bends great and I haven't snapped it yet. Had it for 2 months and no shedding too!
