Spotted: NEW Wet n Wild MegaRocks Glitter Nail Color Collection

Another new line from Wet n Wild (that I did NOT mention in my original post about the new 2014 releases) is the MegaRocks Glitter Nail Colors. These are PERMANENT (not limited edition) new nail colors and I'm delighted to be able to share some pics of these with you today, thanks to two lovely readers.

First up, reader Lisa spotted this display at her local Bed Bath & Beyond:

NEW Wet n Wild MegaRocks Glitter Nail Color Collection
(retail: $2.96 - $2.99 each depending on the retailer, 0.42 oz)

Again, these are new PERMANENT nail colors (not limited edition).

There are nine shades in this range (and notice the $1 off peelie coupons on the bottles!):

According to reader Lisa W. (who kindly shared the pics and descriptions you're about to see below), all of the glitter in these polishes is hexagonal, with the exception of ONE polish, which contains both hex AND SQUARE glitter. Yay!

Orange square glitter! Yay!

What do you think of this new permanent line of glitter polishes from Wet n Wild? Are you excited to see these in person? I'm most excited to see that shade with the square glitter, but I think they all look lovely so far!

Thanks so much, Lisa and Lisa W., for the great pics and info. I really appreciate it!

  4. Slick it to the Man is really pretty and unique. I got this and Jam Session for a grand total of $2.50! Fred Meyer's currently has a BOGO half price coupon for any beauty product, and I used the $1 off coupons on the bottles. The RRP for one nail polish is $2.99.

  5. Today I purchased all but one at Harmon... 97 cents each after the dollar off attached coupon and the $5 off a $15 purchase (Bed Bath cpn). I'm missing the emerald color SLAP THE BASS.

After swatching the 8 colors and considering they cost me 97 cents each, I really like them all and will keep them. My fingernails are a rainbow tonight, so funny! (BTW, base coat is Elmer's Glue All, glitter will peel right off. Top coat is NYC GCS, of course. I never use nail polish remover any more.)

I'll get the missing color eventually... no rush tho.. perm collection! Yeah!

  6. OK, so I didn't wait. I hunted down the emerald polish, SLAP THE BASS at the last free standing Harmon in my area (I have 3 close by). After 20% off and the $1 cpn it cost me $1.15, the entire collection of 9 cost $8.91 (99 cents each).

Each of these polishes is well worth the original price of $2.69, I'm just into getting my polishes on sale, and nearly 65% off is pretty darn good.

  7. I just tried the gold and I am in love with it. It is like a glittery clear polish. I feel like I have clear polish on with gold flakes :)

  8. just tried "Waiting for my Solo" - great coverage in one coat (as a topper) and very smooth, almost didn't need topcoat. I really liked it.

  9. Found a wet n wild display at walgreens today, it had various mega rocks polishes in the lower rows and some type of lip product on top (I've given up on lip products that aren't lip balms or super long lasting, and didn't have time to investigate those further) but noticed the display said "2 for $4" in fairly fine print at the center of the display. I grabbed the 4 polishes that caught my eye and was able to use the manufacturers coupon on top of the 2 for $4 sale, paying $4 for all 4 of them.

I didn't take inventory so I'm not sure if it was all the mega rocks polishes...I got slap the bass, stick it to the man, at will call, and jam session and I know I saw the silver, gold, and silver/black ones in the same display, so presumably they're 2 for $4 as well.
