You shouldn't be using any pressure with it against your skin. You want to glide it along your skin, no scrubbing necessary. The majority of other brushes spin to scrub your skin can be fairly harsh on your face. Your skin does not need to be buffed the way your car tires do! If you've never used one before, go slowly and work your way up to using it daily. Start with once or twice a week until your skin is OK with it. I personally only use mine at night time because twice a day was just too much.

As far as brush heads go, they recommend a new brush head every 3-4 months based on daily usage. Same as your toothbrush, they are covered with an antimicrobial film that eventually wears away. If you wash your brush head with soap after every use it will prevent gross makeup buildup and allow you to use it longer before needing to replace it. Also make sure to store it sideways and let it dry completely between uses to keep prevent bacterial growth. I think the last time I bought some I paid $2 each on eBay! I'm not sure how they feel compared to the actual name brand ones (I haven't had a name brand brush head in a LONG time), but I usually grab the ones that are for sensitive skin. They work great! anneemullhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00229886577066211587noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-923437194678664102.post-90412072726388011472017-01-30T15:36:36.615-08:002017-01-30T15:36:36.615-08:00I also bought a few brush heads last year during o...I also bought a few brush heads last year during one of Ulta's 21 Days of Beauty events held in March & September, I think. They were either half off or buy one get one free. No difference if you buy multiples of two. These only applied to the single face brush heads, not duos or 4-packs, but you could mix & match the varieties. Hope this helps!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03189024025466287766noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-923437194678664102.post-91702237647523524122017-01-30T15:19:06.438-08:002017-01-30T15:19:06.438-08:00OMG, I can't believe how expensive they are wi...OMG, I can't believe how expensive they are without a discount-- hopefully I won't regret this! As a kind reader mentioned that day, that discount brought them down to $16.73 a piece vs. the usual $27. The good thing is that Ulta offers 20% off codes on prestige beauty and skincare a few times a year, so I would definitely add that 4-pk to your favorites and then you'll be all ready to go the next time they issue one of those codes. :)G.https://www.blogger.com/profile/16658662222451658254noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-923437194678664102.post-6086944217341078042017-01-30T14:43:13.552-08:002017-01-30T14:43:13.552-08:00G, I'd been talking non-stop about buying this...G, I'd been talking non-stop about buying this and almost bit the bullet last night, but I'm so glad I waited! I'm also curious-- are you aware of the brush heads ever going on sale? Will my best bet just be to sit around and wait for the VIB sale every year? That's why I was hesitating to buy this-- not just the initial cost, but the ongoing cost of replacing the brush head. Thank you again for all your work!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01432853417652824847noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-923437194678664102.post-11818621472255788512017-01-30T13:16:32.167-08:002017-01-30T13:16:32.167-08:00I was wondering -- how does the name brand Clariso...I was wondering -- how does the name brand Clarisonic compare to the knock-off made by Ulta, which is significantly cheaper? Do you think that the price difference is worth it, or is the up-charge specifically tied to brand name recognition?Melaniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01102888853297235091noreply@blogger.com
