CORRECTION Regarding the New Drunk Elephant Value Sets at Dermstore

Yesterday, it became impossible for me to respond individually to all of the comments here on my blog and on my social media about these new Dermstore-exclusive Drunk Elephant value sets. So I wanted to write this post just to clear up any misinformation out there. I hope this helps!

So yesterday, 11/1, a kind reader shared information about these new Dermstore-exclusive value sets on my post about the other new Drunk Elephant value sets now available at Sephora (click here for info about the new Sephora sets).

The Dermstore-exclusive sets are:

Skin of Dreams Trio - $148 ($184 value)

Includes:
  • TLC Framboos Glycolic Night Serum™ (1 fl oz)
  • Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil™ (1 fl oz)
  • Lippe™ (0.13 oz)

C-Ing Is Believing 5-Piece Set - $83 ($104 value)

Includes:
  • JuJu Bar™ (1 oz)
  • C-Firma Day Serum™ (1 fl.oz)
  • B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Gel™ (0.27 oz)
  • Lala Retro Whipped Cream™ (0.16 oz)
  • De Sport Sac

At the time of my original post, ALL of the items in the C-Ing Is Believing Set were listed as full-size on the Dermstore site. This caused quite the raised eyebrows since the C-Firma alone retails for $80, and the B-Hydra alone retails for $52. So it appeared that either the listed value of this set OR the sizes of the items in the set were incorrect.

Since my original post, several of you let me know that Dermstore indeed updated the sizes of the items in this set in their listing, and they are now what you see above in the bullet points. So to be clear, the C-Firma is full size ($80 value) and the rest of the items are deluxe/travel sizes.

To be even more clear:
  • The C-Firma Day Serum in this set is full-size (1.0 oz)
  • The JuJu Bar in this set is 1 oz (full-size is 4 oz)
  • The B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Gel in this set is 0.27 oz (full-size is 1.69 oz)
  • The Lala Retro Whipped Cream in this set is 0.16 oz (full-size is 1.69 oz)

I believe that the incorrect sizes were on the site for a few hours yesterday after I originally posted, so I'm guessing that the majority of you saw this listing AFTER the sizes were corrected. But I felt it important to write this post and let you know EXACTLY what you're getting if you order this set.

IF YOU ORDERED YESTERDAY when you were under the impression that all of the items were full-size:  it's obviously up to you as to whether you think this set is still worth keeping. If you do not, then I suggest contacting Dermstore customer service once you receive your order, and request a return. Dermstore has a 30-day return policy which you can read HERE.

IF YOU'RE INTERESTED IN GETTING EITHER OF THESE SETS: if this is your first time even hearing about these sets and you want to order either or both of them, Dermstore is an authorized retailer for Drunk Elephant and Dermstore is owned by Target. All orders ship free and include free samples. If you are a new customer, look for a pop-up when you click the links above for these sets offering you 20% off your first order. That discount will apply to these sets, saving you even more money.

I hope this helps, and if you have any other questions please do contact Dermstore directly here, as I am not affiliated with them in any way (other than being a frequent customer). Thanks!

  1. I emailed Dermstore yesterday night when I realized they changed the sizes and they quickly canceled my order!

  2. I'm keeping my order, still think its a good deal. Never tried anything from this line before and I get to try 3 new things for free. Hopefully it gets here in time for me to try them and figure out if I want to order the full sizes at the Sephora VIB sale. I sent them a message on twitter and they are offering me an additional 20% for the inconvenience of the incorrect post. If I get that on top of my first time buyer 20% off then I'll be really happy!

  3. I ordered the C-firma set yesterday morning thinking these were all full sizes because of their description, I called Dermstore earlier about it and they offered me a return label or a 20% off code.

  4. I'll be keeping my order too since what I really wanted was the full size C-Firma and extras are nice. They don't have this set at Sephora so I'm ok with it. Like the saying goes, if it's too good to be true then it probably is.🙄

  5. Both sets are still a great value!! I really like Dermstore for the discounts it offers. There are often gifts with purchase and sales come around much more often than Sephora sales. I think this was an honest mistake.

  6. The Skin of Dreams trio looks amazing. I think I want to sample the smaller set from Sephora though before taking the plunge.
