HOT NEW DEALS on Tarte, Drunk Elephant, RMS Beauty, Too Faced, GLAMGLOW and More

So many great tips from wonderful readers today! Let's get right to it:

  • Tarte - if you haven't heard, Tarte is doing special deals every day this week in honor of their birthday. Today's Deal is awesome because all of the products on this page are on on sale. PLUS, you can use code IPSYSEPT to receive AN ADDITIONAL 20% OFF these sale items! That brings the full-size Amazonian Clay Blushes down from $28 to $16 to $12.80 That's the lowest I've ever seen those blushes go. Free shipping on orders $40+ and a free sample with all orders. NOTE: if this deal is over by the time you read this, you should still be able to use code IPSYSEPT on the next deal that Tarte offers. (Thanks to readers Scarlet, AM, and @KenKenBeauty on Instagram for the hot tips!)

  • Dermstore - Dermstore (owned by Target) is having another Friends & Family event valid now through 10/11. Use code FAMILY to receive 20% off your order, and this code does NOT exclude some of the brands that are usually excluded from codes. So in addition to getting 20% off brands like Jouer, Becca, ABH, Stila, Laura Geller, beautyblender, Kevyn Aucoin, etc., right now you can ALSO get 20% off brands like Drunk Elephant, RMS Beauty, GLAMGLOW, Murad, Paula's Choice, and other normally restricted brands. Free shipping and samples on all orders at Dermstore, no code required. Not all of the brands on the restricted list HERE are valid for this discount, but many brands are (just add some things to your cart and see if the discount applies). (Thanks to reader SV for the hot tip!)

  • Beauty Brands - Another Friends & Family event! Now through 10/8 at Beauty Brands, receive 25% off all regularly-priced makeup, skincare, appliances and fragrance with code EM13271. Also, receive 30% off all regularly-priced haircare, nail products, bath & body, bags & accessories and men's products with code EM13270. The 25% off applies to Too Faced, TarteABH, StilaLaura Geller (including holiday sets), Smashbox (including holiday sets) and more. View all brands HERE. Free shipping on orders $50+ and 3 free mystery samples with all purchases. IMPORTANT: these codes are VALID ONE TIME ONLY but they apply to your entire order (not just one item). So choose wisely when placing your orders!

Thanks again to readers Scarlet, AM, @KenKenBeauty and SV for the hot tips!

  5. Out of curiosity, is drunk elephant typically a restricted brand on Dermstore? I remember people being able to check out with it...

    1. It's not on the restricted list but the last few times they've had codes, they did NOT work for Drunk Elephant. I think it's a relatively new restriction because I used a code on their serum earlier this year. But the last few times I posted about codes, some readers confirmed that no codes worked with Drunk Elephant. So I tested it myself and yep, no discount. So if you've been waiting to make a purchase, I would probably do it now since there's no guarantee the next code will work.

  6. Did you guys get an email confirmation right away? It's been a few hours, but I ordered the 12 hour foundation and the exposed blush. It doesn't show up on my account either, but my card was definitely charged.

    1. Lol you're so welcome, girlie. I too couldn't hit the checkout button...it was a STRUGGLE though. But I've been on a buying spree lately and I just have to stop and focus on what I have for a moment, ya know? Sigh...

  9. I so need a backup of my ABH dipbrow but Dermstore hasn't had my color in quite a few months. Wish I had $50 to spend at Beauty Brands! I hate paying for shipping...

Anyway, I also wanted to let you know something that might be helpful in your quest to figure out the Twitter link thing. Your link to the Tarte website wasn't blocked for me at work (we deal with the government, so things are kinda locked down here), but the Dermstore link was. It gets even weirder though - if I went direct to the Dermstore page it worked! The Beauty Brands link was also blocked for me and I got this error:

    Access Denied
The http://fave.co/2dcKn3K has been deemed by your administrator to be unsafe or unsuitable for you to access. The resource has been blocked. No further action is required.

    Reason: Reputation-Viruses

Anyway, I'm not sure why it would do this, but wanted to pass on the information. I can access your blog no problem, so I don't know what's going on...

    1. Thanks so much for all of the info, Lindsey! That is so strange, as I have never issues with that particular affiliate network and the links (on my end at least) go straight to the retailer's website, no problem.

However, I just altered the URLs and would LOVE to know if this makes a difference on your end. If you have a moment, could you click on any of the Dermstore or Beauty Brands links and let me know if you still get the error message? Thanks a million! xo

    2. Lindsey - I experience the same problem when following blog links to other websites (I work for a defense contractor and we work with the government). I believe the problem is when the bloggers use affiliate links to link to other websites. The affiliate links are what get blocked by our firewalls because they redirect your browser (which is something my company settings does NOT like at all).

On a side note, I'm not having issues with either link but I didn't get a chance to try this morning when Lindsey did. I imagine they wouldn't have worked for me either. I run into the "blocked" issue often with Hip2Save when she posts affiliate links a certain way.

  11. Hi G,

I rarely comment but I love your blog & thank you for all of your hard work. Beauty Brands cancelled my order for some reason and I am not sure why. It was such a great deal too. I did email CS to find out why because the email was very generic. I tried to call their CS but the line was busy so I had to leave a message.
