Spotted: NEW Sinful Colors #PRIDE Collection

NEW Sinful Colors #PRIDE Collection at Walgreens
(retail: $1.99 each, 0.5 oz.)

Thanks so much to my pal Abbi (@curlycomedynailart on Instgram) for pointing me in the direction of this new collection which is now starting to pop up at Walgreens! Abbi reposted a pic on her Instagram yesterday from @selftaughtnails, who then kindly let me share the pic here with you. After I posted about this on Instagram yesterday, I heard from reader @maryjo1023 on Instagram, who also kindly shared a pic (the one you see above), plus she supplied me with the full list of shades in this collection (thanks so much for that, @maryjo1023!).

The new Sinful Colors #PRIDE collection is of course in reference to Gay Pride and, according to the display, a portion of the proceeds from the sale of these polishes will go to an extremely good cause: The Trevor Project.

Just a quick note: if anyone reading this has any objections to Sinful Colors honoring the LGBTQ community with a collection of nail polishes, please take that up directly with the brand, and not here. I do not, and will not ever, allow intolerance of ANY kind to be expressed here on my blog, and comments of that nature will always be deleted before they will ever been seen on this blog. This is my happy, loving, welcoming, accepting little corner of the internet and I intend to keep it that. Thanks!

Whew! Now that I've gotten that out of the way, let's look at these pretty polishes!

@selftaughtnails on Instagram kindly allowed me to share the above pic with you, and I was able to enlarge/crop her pic a bit for a closer look:

Resilient, Sugar Pumpkin, Bye Felicia!, Envious

With the exception of the glitter topper, Pride, which is a repromote, all of the shades in this collection are NEW.

Gogo Boy, Pride, Love Thyself, Call Me Violette

Well I'm going to need Bye Felicia! for the name alone, and pretty much everything else here. That mint green, Envious, and that blurple, Love Thyself, must be mine. Oh and Gogo Boy too. Oh heck. Sinful Colors, just #TakeAllMyMoney (as per usual).

Have you spotted this collection at your local Walgreens yet? I would imagine that this collection will also start to pop up at Rite Aid, and perhaps Big Lots as well, so be sure to check around.

Thanks again, @selftaughtnails and @maryjo1023, for the great pics and info, and thanks to @curlycomedynailart for putting this collection on my radar!

    1. First of all, thank you for work with The Trevor Project!!! Second, when you get these, you should do a skittles/rainbow mani with all of the colors and wear it to work! :D

    3. Thanks ladies, it is a privelege to volunteer there. I'm really happy to see more mainstream acceptance and support, it makes Trevor's work easier! I'm going to be rocking my skittles mani next time I go in to the office for sure!

  2. Yep,saw these two days ago at Walgreens. I already had Pride so I picked up a few others. Glad to see Sinful is promoting this important topic!

  3. I'm in a same sex marriage and have been out since I'm 17( I'm 49). I love this, so cool!! I would really hope that none of your readers would be opposed to this collection. I hope I can find this locally.

    1. The great news: no negative comments received today!!

The sad news: I lost a total of 42 followers within two hours of posting about this collection on my Instagram yesterday. There were also two unpleasant comments on my post that I deleted immediately.

But I'm absolutely thrilled that the majority of readers here and on social media have been very happy and excited about this collection. It makes my heart smile. xo

    2. I am honestly surprised to hear that 42 unfollowed on IG..wow...

    3. People can just be lame. It's their loss, not yours. If I can handle not getting mad at you letting everyone know about the Kylie Jenner Sinful Colors collection (lol) I think others can calm down about this collection. You are reporting on new products and I love it. Plus, you know, it's nail polish...that happens to support a cause people should care a whole lot more about...

Anyway, I'm really anxious to find these so I can check Envious out. If it's a true mint I'll buy three of them! I have yet to find a true mint polish I love and this looks very promising.

    4. Seriously??! 42 people??? Well... Bye Felicia!!!! Going to hunt down some of these. Already have Pride!

    5. 42 people unfollowed? Is that really such a big deal to people, still? I wasn't thrilled about the Kylie Jenner collaboration because I think that family is overexposed, but I'm mainly overlooking that collection -- plus it's a dollar more. If anything, this should be a dollar more and let that buck go to the Trevor Project.

    6. Lol @Robin! That shade is just too appropriate here!

Regarding the 42 unfollows, I wish I could say that I understood that, but I don't. But it's a free country--if you don't like what I do, you don't ever have to see it. Obviously I wish there was more tolerance, love, and acceptance in this world, but we're getting there!

I'm just EXTREMELY grateful to have such an amazing, diverse readership that appears to be 99.9999% in support of this. Seeing these comments here fills me with so much love!

PS: I haven't done any other posts about the Kylie collection based on the feedback I received after the first one, so I'm always trying to keep your feelings in mind. I'm not a fan of that family either, but since I post about all Sinful collections, it would have been weird to skip that one altogether. Thanks for your understanding! xo

    7. On the Kylie collection (Kollection?) you're reporting something new from a brand you regularly report on, so it'd be weirder if you ignored them. Some of their products get good reviews -- the hair ones in particular -- but I just find them too much in the news. They're beautiful women, and they seem like a tight family, but I just really hate that our culture buzzes about one of them wearing a green wig or whatever like it's the best thing ever.

    8. F them, keep being awesome.

  4. The colors are GORGEOUS, but it seems strange for them to promote it as an LGBT inspired collection when none of the colors really match the flag (the yellow is close but the rest are several shades off). I must have that glitter and bright blue though!!

    1. Right? The orange and red are pretty on point, but I guess an all-primary/secondary collection wouldn't be very fun.

      Delete
    2. I thought the same thing when I saw the colors. But Kudos for trying.

      Delete
    3. Agreed. My hope would be for a true rainbow of primary and secondary colors, and no pastels. It'd be cool if they had a little 10-pack of minis - like magenta, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, purple -- along with a black and a glitter like Pride. That'd tempt the hell out of me.

    4. I totally get what you all are saying, but I'm feeling like Sinful already has shades so close to the flag colors, that they kind of had to create ones that are slightly "off". Otherwise, this would be a collection of repromotes, and we want NEW, right? If they had done a collection of repromotes of their more primary shades, I feel like it would have been universally blasted. I can imagine the comments now: "You do a Pride collection but can't even give us NEW shades?" So my hats off to Sinful here for creating new shades for this collection, even if they're not color-for-color matches to the flag. :)

    5. That's totally true that they have primary colors in their main line (when I was first redoing my nail polish years ago I got all of them because they were so cheap) but there's ways to change it up a bit. Most of the main line primary colors are matte and cremes. Add some iridescent or smaller silver shimmer to them and promote them as the LGBT inspired line and I would have been COMPLETELY sold. For the glitter one they could have done a complete rainbow glitter (all the glitter polishes have some theme, I've never seen a true rainbow glitter polish unless I make it). I get what they were doing, and it's a gorgeous collection, just seems like it could have been done BETTER. And brands are always looking to make their things BETTER (take Kylie for example).

    6. Good point on the new shades. I'm sure I'll be checking them out in store... hopefully I spot them somewhere.

  5. Not only do I need literally all these colors (between these and the new WnW I may never leave Walgreens...) but they actually picked a good cause! I feel like so many companies always pick like the worst causes to support somehow.

    1. Agreed. This is a most excellent cause!

  12. Some people. If you don't like the collection don't purchase it and don't leave yucky comments. Sometimes you post collections I'm not excited about but I like that you cover all kinds of makeup for everyone. That's why I follow you, because if there's something new that I can afford, I know you've got it covered.
I'm not thrilled with some of the colors in this Sinful collection, because they are regular colors, but some of them look very vivid. I can't wait to see them in store so I can check them out and as usual I'll probably end up buying all of them lol!

  13. This old lady thinks it's a great collection! My fave colors are the blue-purple and the magenta.

  14. Gorgeous! I've been looking for a yellow and orange and kind of like that these colors are "off" from the actual Pride flag -- they seem just the tiniest bit muted, which suits me well -- and also why not invest in those colors now when proceeds benefit a great cause? Thanks for posting, G., as always, and for keeping your space safe, fun, and inclusive!

  15. I have a different view on the issue. With that being said I think it is RIDICULOUS to unfollow a blog you like over this. As adults people should be able to tolerate a difference of opinion without such immaturity. But honestly, you're better off without people who cannot deal with a worldview that diverges from theirs. Some of the colors are very pretty and I will check them out if I see this collection in store.

    1. See, the fact that you said what you said in this manner makes all the difference. People are free to feel how they feel, and we all don't have to agree. But when people cannot even handle seeing an opposing worldview in their feeds and unfollow someone because of it, that's when it becomes truly sad and frustrating. There are lots of people I follow on social media who hold dramatically different beliefs than my own. I would never dream of unfollowing them just because of that. But like Robin said above, that's when you just have to say BYE FELICIA! (I'm so getting that polish the moment I find this collection!)

  16. Thank you for being inclusive, G! That's why I love ya!!!

  17. I agree with that sentiment that it's a bit weird that the first three seem really bright but the other 4 colored shades are more pastel looking.

  18. Thanks for the shout out! I need Love Thyself like yesterday! Buying for a cause is an awesome reason to add to my SC collection!!

  19. Bye Felicia is THE perfect lemon yellow. I found the collection in my area today!!!.. I'm so excited about this one, Sugar Pumpkin is a beautiful orange shade....sorry for the ramble, I'M JUST GIDDY!!!!

  20. I like these polishes but I'll probably wait to buy them in big lots because of my own beliefs; But can't wait to see the new Kylie Jenner collection I've seen some of the glitter polishes and they are GORGEOUS!

  21. Reading your blog for the first time today, while painting my nails with Gogo Boy! :D I spotted these at Walgreens today and had to have it, it's a gorgeous muted blue, and then I googled and here I am! lol. I didn't look as closely at the other colors but I have a friend who says 'bye Felicia' a lot so I think she may need a bottle of this as a little gift on her desk at work. Anyway, being a straight ally of LGBTQ cousins and friends, I love Sinful for supporting love. And I like your blog too! bookmarking now. (waves)

  23. When i spotted these on the sinful colors website i was beyond thrilled. Half my family is gay, bisexual and i myself am transgender. So of course being a nailholic i had to track these down. I'm proud of my polish and now even more proud that i can support such a great cause. There will be of course some backlash because of the support but don't let the misguided rule your own life. Now i have 2 more that i need to find and my set is complete. Thx to everyone for there support and i hope this cause raises it's goal

  24. I've bought four from this collection. The red is a perfect color for my skin tone. My goal is to wear these colors all Pride month.
