Unboxing: New Sephora Favorites Paint It Pink Set

I recently purchased the new Sephora Favorites Paint It Pink Set ($40; $122 value) at Sephora and I thought it was a perfect time to do an unboxing since, now through 3/21, you get 5 free samples instead of 3 with all online Sephora orders (click HERE for more info and some new codes before you place your order!). So let's take a look:

I love that the Sephora Favorites sets come in cute, sturdy boxes that can be reused to store makeup, stationary supplies, whatever. This one's really cute and I love that these boxes have a convenient flip-top lid. And you can easily remove the plastic insert:

UPDATE: to view my swatches of the products in this set, please click HERE.

Left to right (full-size items in bold):
  • 0.1 oz Benefit Cosmetics Roller Lash Mascara
  • 0.27 oz Deborah Lippmann Nail Polish in Baby Love
  • 0.12 oz Laura Mercier Velour Lovers Lip Colour in French Kiss (full-size)
  • 0.10 oz Make Up For Ever Artist Plexi-Gloss in 202
  • 0.05 oz Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Scratch (full-size)
  • 0.085 oz BECCA Cosmetics Shimmering Skin Perfector in Pressed Rose Gold
  • 0.03 oz BeautyBlender The Original beautyblender® (full-size)
  • 0.05 oz Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Blissful

Here are the prices for the three full-size items in this set:

These three items add up to $67, so already this set is a great value at $40. You're literally paying for the UD shadow and BeautyBlender and getting everything else free.

While I can't yet comment on the performance of all these products (I just got my order this week), I can definitely tell you that I'm pleased with the value of this set, as well as the variety of products included. Literally, the only item that I can see myself NOT using is the MUFE Plexi-Gloss, because I'm just not a big gloss girl and I can tell that shade is probably going to end up looking like a clear gloss on my lips (or way too light if it deposits pigment). Everything else though? Yes, yes, and more yes. I'm super excited to dig in and start playing around!

If you were on the fence about this set, I hope that this post was able to give you a better idea of what to expect if you take the plunge. If you already own this set, I would love to hear how it's working for you!

  1. Yes, great set! First set I've bought from sephora. I'm giving away my tarte blush, because it dosen't show up on my skin tone. Most likely give away the gloss as well. I like how the lipstick looks on me, so I'm happy. I already had the becca skin perfector in pressed rose gold from the after glow palette, I swear the one in the sephora box applies differently/ better. I should swatch them both to see if they are exactly the same. The UD eyeshadow is super pigmented, super happy about that!

    1. I'm so glad you're liking this one, girlie! Sorry about the blush (and the gloss), but for sets like this, six out of eight useful products is still a great deal, right? And that's weird about the Becca highlighter! I mean, great for people like me who don't have the After Glow palette, but yeah...

    2. I've heard the Afterglow palette isn't the same quality as the full-size Becca products, I believe Christine at Temptalia even mentioned this in her review! I have the same mini Rose Gold highlighter that comes in this kit, I got it from a Best of Becca kit at ULTA last spring/summer (great kit!). It's a bit dark as a highlight for my NC25 skin tone but is still good for adding some glow to the cheeks on top of some blush! Champagne Pop is my favorite. I need to give away my full-size Opal pressed highlighter, I only used it a couple times and haven't used it since I got Champagne Pop, I really prefer the warmer tones in Champagne Pop!

    3. I would absolutely love to take the blush and gloss off of your hands!

  2. I'm not a big gloss girl either; I literally apply translucent powder over every lippie but I loved that gloss! Esp when applied over a lipstick. It gave my lips a my lips but better glow. The only thing I'm not a fan of is the roller lash mascara. I got a sample before and it did nothing for me but I'll make use of it anyway! Amazing set!

  4. Just got this today! Almost decided not to get it, but I wanted a beauty blender and considering that one costs $20 I felt I couldn't go wrong with this set. I can't wait to use these products. Love the rose gold colors, so flattering on a lot of skin tones

  5. I got mine the other day. The Mufa gloss came in another set I got last fall. I think it was the lip favorites. I'm glad to have another Beauty Blender and I like the Becca highlighter even though it's a little dark. I really like the UD eyeshadow with my blue eyes. The blush is just a touch warmer than I prefer but I can make it work. I just love these boxes and find them hard to resist!

  6. G, I second Nauzi, can you swatch it? I'd like to see the color of the lipstick and the UD eyeshadow. Thanks!

  7. I got this set too, and am loving it! However, I'm a little ticked at Sephora right now, since I ordered this to take advantage of the "five sample" promo. Instead of five samples, I got...an empty bag! LOL.
I sent their customer service a message, but I don't know if there's anything to be done about it. I'm a Rouge too... Someone in the distribution center must have been having a bad day!

  8. Thank you so much for sharing this unbloxing with us. Would it be possible for you to swatch the shades so we can get an idea pigmentation/saturation wise? Please! As always thanks for all the help with navigating sales! I love your blog.

  10. My husband is DYING for my to shut up about this set already. I'm so in love. I use almost everything every single day. I may order a second! The only thing I could do with out is the polish, it's too sheer for my liking.

  14. Thank you for the post. I'm just wondering if the UD Scratch shadow in this set is the same as the Scratch on the UD Deluxe Shadow Box palette.
