Spotted: NEW Jordana Sweet Cream Matte Liquid Lipsticks (with Reader Swatches)

image credit: @swatchesgalore for Nouveau Cheap
Jordana Sweet Cream Matte Liquid Lipsticks
(retail: $2.99 each)

I was hoping this would happen, and it did! For those of you who may not know, Milani and Jordana are sister companies. And sometimes, when Milani releases a popular line of products, we see a similar line from Jordana later down the road. So if you love the Milani Amore Matte Lip Creams, you may be very excited to know that Jordana now has a line of matte lip creams, and they're just $2.99 each.

Many thanks to reader @swatchesgalore on Instagram for the pic of the display that she spotted at her local Kmart last week. I do not know if these will be also be available at Walgreens, but hopefully that will be the case. These are so new, they aren't even on the Jordana website yet (as of the time of this post).

I enlarged @swatchesgalore's pic above for a closer look at all ten shades:

01 Créme Brulée, 02 Strawberry Cheesecake, 03 Raspberry Tart, 04 Mixed Berry Souffle, 05 Mango Sorbet

06 Cherry Cobbler, 07 Tiramisu. 08 Sweet Marsala Wine, 09 Rose Macaron, 12 Pomegranate Pie

I'm not sure why they skipped shades 10 and 11 here, but perhaps (and this is only a guess) those will be Walgreens-exclusive shades if/when these are available at Walgreens? Again, that's purely a guess. Another guess: shades 10 and 11 may be exclusive to the Jordana website when they're available for purchase there.

@swatchesgalore purchased three of the ten shades and kindly shared the above swatches. Beautiful colors, right?

Reader @themakeupblock on Instagram also spotted these at her local Kmart recently and kindly shared these swatches of the two shades she purchased. She mentioned that these "smell exactly like the LipKits by Kylie and like the Milani Amore Matte Lip Cremes." Again, it's not surprising that these smell like the Milani Amore Matte Lip Cremes, since Jordana and Milani are sister companies.

@themakeupblock also mentioned that she wore Créme Brulée for four hours and that it dried down to a matte finish "very quickly" and that it didn't feel tacky after it dried. She also said that it was very transfer-proof and didn't crumble or fade even after eating or drinking. Exciting, right?

Thanks to reader @nailmatticbeauty for sharing these swatches of the six shades she purchased at her local Kmart. She also has a lip swatch video HERE if you'd like to check it out!

Again, I do not know if these will also be available at Walgreens, but I will let you know the moment I find out. If you spot these at your local Walgreens, please do comment on this post and let us know? Thanks!

Thanks again, @swatchesgalore, @themakeupblock, and @nailmatticbeauty, for the great pics. I really appreciate it!

  1. Sweet, I love Jordana! If these are as good as their other lip products I'm sure I'll be pleased. Too bad I don't have a Kmart nearby - hope I see them at Walgreen's soon!

    1. I bought a few at my local walgreens earlier tonight, the cashier lady told me that she had set up the display earlier today. So that means soon they will also be sold at walgreens too.

  2. I've heard that the new Amoré formula is different (and worse) than the original, so I wonder if the Jordana formula is closer to the original.

    1. Huh, I actually like new Amores more, old ones crumble on me like nobody's business

    2. I agree. The new formula is amazing and moussier than the original.

  3. Coincidentally, I stopped at a Kmart today in Burbank on my way home from Silverlake. I NEVER go into Kmart because the one in my town is not great. The location I went to wasn't great either, but I got a couple of wet and wild brushes, b2g1 free. The concealer brush was only .99. I saw the display for these and there were none left, NOTHING, Nada, Zilch. Either all sold out or they have not received them yet. I wanted them badly too. Excited to try the Wet and Wild brushes though. They had a lot of makeup on clearance. Sinful colors gel packs( base and top) for 1.47 in lots of colors. I also got a 5 pack of disney lipsmackers for 1.50.

    1. Kmart can get great clearances! Perhaps you should check that one you went to more often to find more deals.

    2. I went there yesterday and mine was empty too. I was so shocked and disappointed. One day.....

  4. Yay! And the price is great too. Hopefully I will spot them and pick some up.

  8. I have to purchase every shade. Love Jordana.

  9. They're the perfect size too! I never use up liquid lippies, and these are cheap enough to totally stock up!

  10. The closest Kmart yo me doesn't have them. I'm still on the hunt because I need more lippies, right? Of course I do. 😁

  11. I have only tried one and it did transfer and crumble... However the crumbling was after I reapplied around 30 minutes later so it might have been the layering. It transfered onto my straw probably an hour after applying.
I do love it though and will purchase more colors.

  12. I have been thinking about ordering some of their Blushes. I don't have a store any where near me either. This would be Great to wait till they get these in their. I really like the Milani ones. I missed the originals but I really love the ones I got. The new ones. Thanks so much.

  13. Jordana is available at Savemart too and they typically have a lot of products, more than Walgreens

  14. Jordana is a brand that seems to be disappearing from New York City. I keep looking for it, since I'd like to get their blush sticks. If there's anyone here who knows a NYC store (preferably downtown Manhattan) that carries Jordana consistently, please comment and let me know. Thanks!

    1. The Duane Reade across from Grand Central used to have it... not sure about now, as I haven't been in for a year.

    2. Thanks for that suggestion! I haven't been in the Grand Central area for quite a while but will check it out. You've possibly given me a whole new store to raid for cosmetics! LOL!

    3. Yes, Check the Duane Reades/Walgreens in NYC. Some carry both Milani and Jordana or one or the other. The Jordana section is usually quite small compared to Covergirl, Revlon etc.

    4. Just went to the Penn Station Kmart and it had the Jordana liquid lip colors! Of course, there were only three shades left...but I'm hoping they will restock again soon. I picked up Strawberry Cheesecake. The other two shades left as of tonight were Raspberry Tart and Mango Sorbet I believe. I really wanted Tiramisu and Rose Macaron, but hopefully I'll get lucky next time!

I swatched Strawberry Cheesecake on my hand about 30 minutes ago and it will not budge no matter how much I rub it. Feels soft on my hand though so hoping for that on the lips!

Also my cashier at Kmart said that she had seen so many people buying these! I have a feeling they are all makeup blog followers, or better yet, Nouveau Cheap readers! :D

    5. I think I just have to go more uptown, because south of the 20s in Manhattan, it's really hit or miss with some brands like Jordana or Black Radiance or with some of their specific products. Things are just not kept in stock, partly because the popular products sell out quickly, partly because more prominent (and pricier) brands get the lion's share of display space. You have to look in some obscure corner for the likes of Jordana or Wet and Wild or Rimmel. But I will check the 34th Street Kmart if I'm in that area. I live near the Astor Place Kmart in the East Village which, again, has a little unloved, boring hit-and-miss cosmetics section tucked out of the way. It looks like nobody ever bothers to work on it...or to shop there!

  15. Finally! I've been complaining since eons about Jordana not launching anything new since the modern mattes.
I'm pretty sure I have similar colors from other brands but I am still getting these (except the pink shades) because...well...it's Jordana lol.

  16. I hope that these turn up at Walgreens (the Kmart near me is a disaster). I've been pretty happy with Jordana, with those lip crayons and the matte lipsticks. And for $2.99, I need to try the nudes and the wine.

    1. Earlier today I went to Walgreens and they had these, but only 6 of them. The lady who tended to me at the register told me that she had set up the display earlier that day. c:

  17. G, I remember you mentioning about a year ago that Jordana was going to release a line of roll-on lip gloss. I've looked in stores and online, but they're nowhere to be found! What happened to them?

    ReplyDelete
  18. I saw your post and ran to my local Kmart! They had like 6 in stock I got Creme brûlée and tiramisu! I also did purchase the lip kit by Kylie recently and these smell exactly the same! I tired on Creme brûlée and it dried almost instantly to a smooth matte finish! Loving these! Heading to another nearby Walgreens/Kmart to get all of them 😍😱😱

  19. The NYC Penn Station area Kmart does have a Jordana section--thank goddess!--although poorly stocked. There were two of the lipsticks left, but they're not on my shopping list. No blush stick in sight. But I did manage to find something definitely on my list: a Wet and Wild eyeshadow in "Panther." Great to not have to buy something online that's only 99 cents! I picked up a Jordana baked eyeshadow in a gorgeous orange color and a Wet and Wild flat-topped brush and considered myself lucky and done for the night!

  20. Omg I must try these! They look amazing!

  21. I JUST bought these tonight from my Walgreen's, for $4.99 each! I'm kinda angry now that I've checked back here and seen that they are supposed to be $2.99. What gives, Walgreen's???

    ReplyDelete
  22. I found them at my Walgreens today, but weirdly they only had shades 1, 7, 2, 12, 3, 4, 5. In that order...

    ReplyDelete
  23. Whoa, I bought some from Walgreens today and they were 4.99 also. Why the discrepancy? So weird, we don't have a Kmart within 30 or so miles so I can't check there.

  24. Bought a couple at my local Kmart - $2.99/ea and right now, Jordana is B1G1 50% off - total cost for two was $4.48 (FREE with my SYW points!). Sadly, there were only 4 colors available - I really wanted Tiramisu and Cherry Cobbler. Saleslady said they were getting a truck today so to check back tonight or tomorrow to see if they've been restocked.

  27. I applied Creme Brule on Monday morning. I let it dry for 30 minutes, then ate breakfast carefully. I checked it after eating and it was mostly all gone. I wanted to like these, because they have such a nice, creamy texture. Less than an hour is pitiful though.

Also, I forgot to add that I have Cherry Cobbler. Beware that it applies incredibly orange! It also stains, but it stays about 3 hours.
And the wine color, I love. I can get that to last about 4 hours and it applies so well and it is just beautiful. My overall favorite.

  29. I have only one so far. I got Strawberry Cheesecake. I really love it. Not only the shade but how well it wears. I think I'll go to Jordana's site and get some more shades.
