Sinful Colors St. Patrick's Day 2016 Shamrock Out Collection
(retail: $1.99 each)

I know that I have been seriously lagging on posting about new Sinful Colors collections lately. I missed posting about the Holiday 2015 and the Valentine's Day 2016 collections, but I'm back today with the St. Patrick's Day 2016 and Live in Color 2016 collections (and info about an upcoming collection). And I will be getting back into the swing of things, posting about new and upcoming collections, in the future. In other words, regular Sinful Colors coverage is back to normal starting today!

In honor of the new 2/$3 Sinful Colors sale at Walgreens (starts today, 2/21, and runs through 2/27), let's take a look at these recent collections. And please note that I'm aware that both of these collections started to pop up at Walgreens back in January, but since they're the newest Sinful Colors collections in stores right now (to my knowledge; please correct me if I'm wrong!), I thought this was a good place to start.

First up, thanks to my pal Abbi (@curlycomedynailart on Instgram) for the above pic and the close-ups below of the St. Patrick's Day 2016 collection. Abbi confirmed that there is only ONE new shade in this year's display, which is called Feeling Lucky?, and there are also some metallic body tattoos in this display called Cloverly Dramatic (pics further down in this post). The shades in this display are:

Feeling Lucky? (NEW)
San Francisco
Happy Ending
Green Ocean
Gold Medal
Clear Top Coat
Exotic Green

1712 Feeling Lucky?

Abbi said that 1712 Feeling Lucky? contains green metallic micro glitter, small, chartreuse hexagonal glitter, and gold metallic four leaf clovers in a clear base.

Thanks so much to reader Em for sharing these pics of the Sinful Colors St. Patrick's Day 2016 body tattoos. At first glance, I thought were nail decals and I was like, "Um, these are HUGE!" but then after seeing Em's pic below, I realized that they're for the body, not nails.

Next up, Abbi also kindly shared pics of the Live in Color collection, which is now at Walgreens:

UPDATE: Abbi just confirmed to me that Mint2becool and YOLO Yellow are new additions to the permanent collection.

Lastly, I just wanted to mention this in case you haven't heard by now. Sinful Colors is collaborating with Kylie Jenner on a new Sinful Shine collection called King Kylie Collection. This collection will contain more shades than what you see above (63 shades in all), but they'll be spaced out into three limited edition collections. The first collection is scheduled to go on sale starting February 26th (I'm guessing some of you may have already seen these in-store, but if not they should start popping up this week). The polishes will retail for $2.99 each. If you'd like to see the first 20 shades that are due to hit stores 2/26, click here (spoiler: some of them are repromotes from the original Sinful Shine line).

That's it for this recap! Do you already own any of the polishes featured above? Do you plan to pick up any during the Walgreens 2/$3 sale? Again, that sale starts today (2/21) and runs through 2/27.

Thanks again, Abbi and Em, for the great sightings and pics. I really appreciate it!

  1. Mist-erious is also part of the core collex- that's where I found it a few weeks ago! (Just in case you're one of those people whose local Wags isn't exactly timely in putting out displays; mine still has the summer 2015 one...)

    1. Thanks so much for confirming that, Kristin!! :)

  2. I don't know if I have too many polishes or if Sinful just hasn't been that interesting lately. And I'm not thrilled with the Kardashian collaboration. That family is everywhere! You can't escape them!

    1. I'm with Heidi; I have reached critical mass with my exposure to Kardashian Konsumerism. 63 limited edition shades? Maybe my SinfulColors obsession can finally end.

    2. Heidi, I feel the same way! I thought to myself, "well I won't be buying any of those new two step polishes if it has anything to do with her".
And yes, I also agree that Sinful has been meh lately as well. I do have a lot of polish but Sinful always had some nice, unusual shades. It seems more and more they are just doing cremes or colors that are similar to something they already have. So no, you are not alone with the whole KK thing. They are completely overexposed in my opinion.

    3. Glad I'm not alone in my feelings about this one. I've never purchased or reviewed a product by anyone from that family, and I can't see that changing. However, since I'm covering SC again, it felt only right to include this collection in my coverage. But yeah...not thrilled with this collab. :/

    4. I like hearing the SC news, definitely.
And for the Kardashians, I give them credit for ambition. I'm a bit annoyed with the Kylie lip kit. $29 for a liquid matte lipstick and liner, and everything I've read, it seems like the new Jordana matte liquid lipsticks or the ColourPop ones are the same, for less. But I won't buy anything with their name to it. I'm just fatigued from their being all over the place.
I've seen a few of the new SC shades in stores, too, but picking up this or that one, I've just thought, I'll just go apply Cinderella or Mint Apple. Plus I still have a couple bottles from past sales that I haven't even used once, so there's that.

  3. I mean it just sounds overwhelming. And I don't like how the Shine line costs more but doesn't seem to last any longer. My resolution was to only collect cruelty free nail colors in 2016, and Essie, Sinful and OPI were my weakness. Now that Sinful is going full throttle with Shine and Kylie, I can take a step back. (Unless they release holos. I will flip).

    1. Holos would awesome! And not scattered holos like they're done before, but linear holos!

  4. I just put on Mint2BCool and I wanted to like it so much more than I do. The shimmer you see in the bottle shows up very little on the nail, and it's gritty. It's still a pretty shade, but probably not worth picking up.

    1. Aw man, I'm so sorry to hear that! I was eyeing that one too. Welp, guess I'll try another instead. :(

  5. Is it just me? I feel like I have seen these colors before. Blah, just blah.

    1. Hard to tell until I can actually see them in person and compare to other existing shades. SC has a way of tricking me into believing I already have something similar by them at home, only to get it home and find they it looks nothing like the one I had in mind! Lol.

  6. Thanks for bringing back SC collection posts. That is my fav part of the blog.

  7. So happy to see info about drugstore cosmetics. I know there's been a few posts here and there about mass market/lower priced cosmetics, such as Maybelline and CG, but it seems they are becoming a bit rare. (I guess I just have no interest in the more elite brands even if they are on sale. Just not compatible with my budget.)

I bought the shamrock topper a few weeks ago but haven't tried it yet. I absolutely need that Gold n' Roses (for the name if not for the color).

About the King Kylie Kollection, I'm sort of on the fence about it. If there's a color or three that I like, I'll get them. I'm sure there's something that will appeal to me. I like that Kylie is partnering with a company like SC so that her fans (I assume most are young) don't have to overspend in order to have a Kylie product. It's also a smart marketing plan for SC to increase their visibility.

So, yeah, I'll be looking for these polishes. I won't purchase the whole collection (can't justify doing so), but if I like the colors, it doesn't matter whose name is on the bottle.

  8. So glad you are posting Sinful Colors again! I agree that these don't seem that unique. I'm wondering what that red in the Live In Color collection is called? It looks similar to Embers Only? And yes, where are the halo's or more unique colors and glitters? I'm not a Kardashian fan but I will still look at the display if I come across it, lol.

    1. The red polish is Devil's Stare from Halloween last year. It is amazing! If you missed it from the Halloween collection get it now. It is a definite must have!

  9. Eh, I don't really care for these. I would rather pay more for OPI nail polish. They have a Hello Kitty collection that I've been eyeing!

  10. I wish the St Patrick's Day collection actually had, y'know, shamrocks in it. Minor quibble, but I'm Irish so it's the first thing I noticed.

I wound up just buying a bottle of Rainforest by Covergirl on Amazon for $4 instead.

    1. Funny, I'm wearing RainForest on my toes and mine is from Revlon. Must be a popular name for polish.

    2. Covergirl, Revlon, all the same to me since I just started using polish. I was playing with my Covergirl Oh Sugar balms so it was on my mind.

  11. I will get the collection when it comes out not because of Kylie, it's because I like sinful colors . I wish there was no repro motes

  13. I saw a new Gel Tech display today. It had four repromotes (?Royal Flush, Most Sinful, Pragmatic, and ?Rendezvous) four new colors (1641 Illusions,
1642 Mystical Glare, 1643 Smoke & Mirrors, 1644 Blurred Vision)and the step 2 top coat.

  14. I have had Gold'n Roses for about a month and I LOVE it. It has become my go to color. I hope it sticks around! I'd love to find that St Patricks Day display for the glitter topper though... Too cute!

  15. Went to Walgreens tonight for the Feeling Lucky and was super bummed that mine didn't have any of the St. Patrick's Day colors, not even a display :( They had everything else though so I did take advantage of the 2/$3, just not what I went in for
