New e.l.f. Skincare Products (Plus: All Skincare Ships Free)

In case you don't get emails from e.l.f. or haven't been by their site lately, I want to make sure you know that they've just launched some interesting new skincare products, and right now all skincare ships free.

Click a link below to go directly to the item listing for ingredients and more info:

Hydrating Gel Melt Cleanser ($10, 1.41 oz.)

(I'm wondering if this could be similar to Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm?)

Hydrating Bubble Mask ($14, 1.69 oz.)

(I'm wondering how this will compare to all of the various Korean bubble masks; Peter Thomas Roth also makes a bubble mask that retails for $55.)

Pore Refining Brush and Mask Tool ($5)

(This reminds me of the Glamglow Application Brush that retails for $14.)

Cleansing Duo Face Brush ($14)

Facial Massager ($4)

I also want to make sure you know about this:

  2. Oohhh, this bubble mask intrigues me. I've been eyeing the PTR one that you mentioned but it's just SO expensive.

  4. Thanks so much for the tip G! I've been meaning to try some e.l.f. skincare products, and the $10 essentials kit is the perfect opportunity.

Question -- does the free shipping not apply with the essentials kit? I assumed it would because it's a "skincare" kit. However, the shipping charges still show up on step 1 of checkout (I have nothing else in my cart).

    1. I only purchased the kit & it was free shipping; it showed up after I pressed checkout.

    2. Mine said order total $10 but the shipping was still above it before I finished ordering. When I got my emailed receipt the shipping was deducted! It is really $10.00!

  5. I ordered the Skincare Essentials! I've been wanting to try their skincare products but no matter how obsessed I am with skincare right now, I still couldn't justify the price + shipping. $10 + free shipping is an incredible deal! Thanks for the heads up!

  7. I wish e.l.f would expand their skin care in terms of skin types most of their products have hydrating or illuminating in their names. What about us oily/combo Acne prone skin types?

    1. Hi. My combo is oily t-zone, dry cheeks. I find it best to use hydrating cleansers to protect the dry areas and even the oil production with light lotion. Perhaps this would work for you too? I used to have straight oily skin & all the skin care I tried dried me out and made it worse (I didn't have acne but I would get pimples & cysts). Since switching, my skin has been better. Even if you don't try it, good luck. I hope you find something that works.

  9. Oh my goodness this is such a great deal! I am loving the ELF skincare I currently have and can't wait to try the new items. Ordered both the cleansing balm and the bubble mask and got the essentials for $10 bucks + free shipping

  10. The cleansing duo brush reminds me of the pore brush from memebox!

  11. OK I just gonna put this out there. People should check out ELF's FB page. The number of consumer complaints on there are alarming. I have ordered from them many times with no problems, but within the last few months something has definitely changed that doesn't have anything to do with the holiday rush season. There is so much stuff I want to try but sadly, I'm not ordering anything until they fix whatever the heck is going on.

  12. It's too bad, I almost bought the Hydrating Gel Melt Cleanser because I love the Clinique one (and they share the same main ingredient), but if you look at the price-per-ounce, I don't think the Elf one is worth it. It's $7.63/oz. for the Clinique ($29 for 3.8 oz.) vs. $7.09/oz. for the Elf ($10 for 1.41). Since I usually have a Sephora gift card every couple months, I don't think it's worth it to get the Elf one, but I'll be interested if you do a review on it G!

  13. FYiI, if you go to Target, in the Christmas markdown section, I found an ELF lipgloss set with 5 glosses (3 tubes, 2 pots) marked down to $5 from $10. Yes, I know the makeup is usually $1, so it's not really a special deal, but it is a quick treat!

I think the foam applicator isn't great (it's really bendy, not firm, and wasn't easy to apply. Like, noticeably not easy) but I love the color Luke (a plum). Brett is a frosty coral that might work for Spring. Brian is a frosty pink. The pots are Pink Princess and Grapefruit.

  14. I got the melt cleanser and the bubble mask. The bubble mask made my skin itch from the fizzing. I think I'm just overly sensitive to the fizzing action since I get the same reaction when I use peroxide. The melt cleanser is nice, though. I'm not overly caring that it's not really for oily skin.

  15. I just got my skin care essentials kit today. Even though it has 3 different items pictured like in your pic above, I received two of the soothing serum and one of the face cleanser with no moisturizer. Getting the whole set for $10 total I can't complain, but I'm still a bit disappointed with my first direct order from elf.
