The Lipstick League - Week of 10.19.15

The Lipstick League Question of the Week

How do you maintain your brows? Tweeze, wax, thread, or do you go au naturel?

G's answer: Good ol' tweezing. I have had my brows professionally shaped by a brow expert in the past, and I follow that shape myself just using tweezers. After a while, if I feel like I'm starting to stray from that shape and things are looking funky, I might go in and have them shaped by a pro again, but really that's only once every few years or so. I also do home-waxing (Sally Hansen kits) every once in a while when I'm craving a really clean look. I love that waxing removes those fine baby hairs that tweezers can't catch, but I only do that every once in blue moon these days. I would really like to try threading one of these days though (said for the 1000th time in about five years!).

  1. Used to be an occasional tweeze. Hereditary is taking my brows away slowly but surely. I have always had perfect brows that barely needed maintenance. They are pale so pencil is necessary and to fill in all the holes. I wish I could grow my brows back. I would be so happy

  2. I like my brow shape so I just tweeze a few strays every week.

  3. Tweeze! But a friend showed me how to thread my own using string. You need the right kind. Maybe worth a glance at a YT tutorial, because I was amazed at how simple the concept was. Didn't have the right string though.

  4. I have mine professionally waxed and then try to maintain them by tweezing.
