Spotted: L'Oreal Fall 2015 Chateau Royale Nail Polish Collection

I was just thinking that we were due for a Fall nail collection from L'Oreal. Looking back on the L'Oreal Spring 2015 collection and Summer 2015 collection, I was wondering what L'Oreal might have in store for fall. While I'm said to say that they didn't keep with tradition and offer us a fun glitter topper in the fall collection, there are still some lovely colors here (although nothing I would call unique).

Longtime photo contributor Dorothy over at Cool Polish Blog spotted this display at her local Bed Bath & Beyond and kindly shared this pic:

Reader @nola_ululu on Instagram also spotted this collection recently and kindly shared this pic:

Let me say here that I find it a bit odd that the "Bordeaux" shade featured in the display pic looks nothing like any of the actual polishes in the display (more on that in a bit).

I enlarged Nola's pic a bit to get a closer look:

Again, I'm bummed that L'Oreal didn't keep with tradition and give us a fun glitter topper (like with the spring and summer collections), but I do like that the two shades on the end are very Marsala-esque. I don't know why the lack of a glitter topper is nagging at me, but I guess it's just that a fall-themed glitter topper seems like a fun thing to create, and the color palette of this collection could yield such a beautiful topper. What a missed opportunity, L'Oreal! But I digress...

Dorothy has bottle shots and some beautiful swatches of this collection HERE, if you'd like a much closer look. Once you take a look at her photos, I think you'll agree with me that there doesn't seem to be a shade here that looks like the Bordeaux color in the photo on the display. Weird, right? The red shade, Wicked Wine, looks like more of a bright, almost fuchsia, berry color.

Have you spotted this collection in your area yet? If so, what do you think? Anything jumping out at you?

Thanks again, Dorothy and Nola, for the great sightings and pics. I really appreciate it!

  1. Just saw these tonight at my favorite Rite-Aid when I was out finding the new Revlon Matte Balms. Very beautiful colors!

  2. I agree with you G, the colors are all very nice but there is just something "missing" without the topper. The collection doesn't necessarily scream "fall" to me either.

  3. Where is the Bordeaux color? The first thing I noticed, even before reading your comments, is that none of the polishes match the dark red in the photo.

  4. I know this is random but I just can't stop noticing the kind of too long neck of the model in the picture. Otherwise the polishes do look pretty.

  5. I don't get why the photos are so photo shopped as to end up looking nothing like the collection of colors...L'Oreal is not the only company that does it. So frustrating and misleading.

  6. Is the Bordeaux color a dark red though... or is it a color-construed Pass The Vino? Just a thought =)
