Coming (Very) Soon: L.A. Girl Velvet Contour Sticks

You know I just realized that I meant to do a blog post announcing the arrival of the new L.A. Girl Matte Flat Velvet Lipsticks, but I guess it got burying in my ever-growing blog to-do list! Sorry about that, but those new lip colors are definitely now available on the L.A. Girl site HERE, and you can check out my pal Coffee Break with Dani's swatches of several of the shades HERE.

Now, on to the newest release from L.A. Girl:

New L.A. Girl Velvet Contour Sticks - Available 9/18

Keep reading for more info and shade names...

Huge thanks to my pal Michelle (@readysetglamour on Instagram) for letting me share her swatches of the upcoming L.A. Girl Velvet Contour Sticks, which will be available on the L.A. Girl website on 9/18. Michelle confirmed that there are three highlighters, three bronzers and ten blushes in this new collection. That matte purplish-plum on the bottom row (Crushed Berry) has me drooling a tiny bit, I must confess!

Shade names are as follows:

TOP ROW
1. Luminous
2. Radiance
3. Cashmere
4. Snuggle
5. Dreamy
6. Plume
7. Plush
8. Pompom

BOTTOM ROW
1. My Bae
2. Glimmer
3. Pinch Me
4. Velour
5. Crushed Berry
6. Brazen
7. Goddess
8. Suede

I don't know if L.A. Girl has released the price of these yet, but considering how affordable L.A. Girl products are, I'm guessing they'll be right around $6 each.

Thanks again, Michelle, for the great swatch pic and info. I really appreciate it!

  4. The highlights and blushes look really good, but I'm disappointed in the contour shade range. The first two look more like bronzers and too warm to contour with, and Suede looks like it wont work for the very light or medium-dark and up range of skin tones. It's a shame because usually LA Girl is so good about catering to a wide shade range.
