Spotted: Wet n Wild Fall 2015 Limited Edition Here's to the Wild Ones! Collection (Pics, Swatches & Comparisons)

It's that time again, Wet n Wild fans! The limited edition Fall 2015 collection has landed, and I have TONS of pics, close-ups, swatches and comparisons for you today, thanks to several lovely readers.

Wet n Wild Fall 2015 Limited Edition Here's to the Wild Ones! Collection

First up, reader SamanthaAnn92 on Twitter spotted this collection this week and kindly shared the above pics. There are three (known) displays in this collection, but there could be more (more on that in a moment)...

PLEASE READ: There are currently three separate Fall 2015 displays now popping up at various retailers (there COULD be more, but I have not yet received any sightings of glosses, lip pencils, eye pencils, bronzers, highlighters or any other things in this collection). I've heard from some of you who have found this collection at Harmon, Christmas Tree Shops (both Harmon and Christmas Tree Shops are divisions of Bed Bath & Beyond), Bed Bath & Beyond stores with an extended beauty department, and Bartell's. I'm guessing that this collection will start to pop up at CVS, Rite Aid, Walgreens and Kmart soon as well.

The contents of this collection (so far) include all of the following items:

4 Coloricon 5-Pan Eyeshadow Palettes ($3.99)
34667 Melrose Face
34668 Girls Just Wanna Have Funds
34669 The Gal-lery Next Door
34670 Don't Be A Poser

1 Mascara ($4.99; NOT limited edition--this is a repromote from the core line)
Lash Out Loud Max Volume Plus Mascara in Blackest Black

6 Megalast Lipsticks ($1.99)
34671 Celeb Sighting
34672 On The Ave
34673 Coffee Buzz
34674 Vintage Vibe
34675 Photobomb
34676 Nightcap

6 Megalast Nail Colors ($1.99)
34587 Pop-Up Bluetique
34588 I Moss Have It
34589 Keep Vinyl Alive
34590 Thrift Shopaholic
34591 Stop and Mel-the-Roses
34592, Gettin' Inked

3 Cosmetic Brushes ($0.99 - $2.99; NOT limited edition--these are repromotes from the core line)
In Your Shadow Eyeshadow Brush
Build a Foundation Foundation Brush
The Louder Powder Powder Brush

Brush Cleansing Cloths ($2.99)
Brush Up! Brush Cleansing Cloths (25-ct.)

NOTE: The prices listed on some of the displays below are a little less than the suggested retail prices listed above; that's because Bed Bath & Beyond and its affiliates generally price things a bit lower than other retailers. Also, when you see the photos below, you may find that some of these items look familiar (as in, they look similar to products in previous limited edition collections). I will discuss this in detail at the bottom of this post.

Reader Natalia of I'm Almost Ready blog spotted this collection this week and kindly shared these pics:

Limited Edition In Your Shadow Eyeshadow Brush ($0.99), Build a Foundation Foundation Brush ($2.99), The Louder Powder Powder Brush ($2.99), Brush Up! Brush Cleansing Cloths ($2.99)

Again, these brushes are repromotes from the core line--they are not limited edition. However, the Brush Up! Brush Cleansing Cloths are new, and I'm guessing they're being introduced in this collection and may eventually become permanent (or at least repromoted in future limited edition collections, like WnW has done with their makeup remover towelettes, which we've seen in a few limited edition collections).

CLOSE-UPS AND SWATCHES

Reader Florence (@florence__x on Instagram) this collection this week and kindly shared some pics of the shades she purchased:

Don't Be A Poser

If this eyeshadow palette looks familiar to you, don't worry--you're not imagining things. I'll explain it all a bit further down in this post!

Florence mentioned to me that the cases for these limited edition Megalast Lipsticks are the matte, rubberized kind (like the Fall 2014 collection Megalast Lipsticks), but she noticed a sheen to these lipsticks, which you can see in her swatches above. So they're not super matte, which is exactly how the "matte" lipsticks from Fall 2014 were for me.

Next up, reader Amanda also spotted this collection this week and kindly shared lots of close-ups and also some swatches:

image credit: Amanda for Nouveau Cheap
Top Row: 34587 Pop-Up Bluetique, 34588 I Moss Have It, 34589 Keep Vinyl Alive
Bottom Row: 34590 Thrift Shopaholic, 34591 Stop and Mel-the-Roses, 34592, Gettin' Inked

Gettin' Inked is a very dark, vampy purple (in case it looks black on your monitor).

If you're a WnW polish fanatic, then you are probably recognizing a few of these shades. Keep Vinyl Alive looks like it could be identical to the Halloween 2014 Collection shade Roadwork. Pop-Up Bluetique looks like it could be identical to the Fall 2012 Pick Your Poison Collection shade Root of All Evil, while Thrift Shopaholic looks like it could be identical to the Fall 2012 Pick Your Poison Collection shade Toxic Apple. And while we're at it, Keep Vinyl Alive might be a dupe for Venomous Vixen from the Fall 2012 Pick Your Poison Collection, which I think was then repromoted in the Halloween 2014 Collection as Roadwork.

Long story short, I think the only truly new shades here are I Moss Have It (golden olive) and Gettin' Inked (vampy purple), but I could be wrong about that (wouldn't be the first time!). By the way, I MUST have I Moss Have It (perfect name for that shade, Wet n Wild!).

Celeb Sighting, On The Ave, Coffee Buzz, Vintage Vibe, Photobomb, Nightcap

I don't believe there are as many repromotes from previous LE collections in these lipsticks (compared to the nail polishes we just went over). I'm not seeing any glaringly obvious repromotes here from the Fall 2014 collection (you can check out my swatches of the Fall 2014 lipsticks HERE if you want to compare for yourself). However, there MIGHT be some repromotes from the Halloween 2014 collection here, but again, nothing glaringly obvious based on these photos (although I'd have to see these in person to know for sure).

I do believe that Coffee Buzz (the deep, vampy chocolate brown) is something we've never seen from WnW before (please correct me if I'm wrong about that). I'd love to see how Coffee Buzz compares to the permanent shade Vamp It Up.

Melrose Face, Girls Just Wanna Have Funds, The Gal-lery Next Door, Don't Be A Poser

Speaking of the Halloween 2014 collection, I believe that two of these four palettes are repromotes from the Halloween 2014 collection (they appear identical to me). Melrose Face = Halloween 2014 A Karat in the World, and Don't Be A Poser = Halloween 2014 Daring Downtown.

Girls Just Wanna Have Funds and The Gal-lery Next Door look brand new to me (as in, not repromotes from previous LE collections). If you're thinking The Gal-lery Next Door might be a dupe for the permanent 5-pan Floral Values, nope, it's not. But I am getting a little bit of a Comfort Zone vibe from Girls Just Wanna Have Funds, and a little bit of a Petal Pusher vibe from The Gal-lary Next Door.

COMPARISONS:

And last but not least, reader J.C. spotted this collection this week and was nice enough to share some palette comparisons with us:

image credit: J.C. for Nouveau Cheap

image credit: J.C. for Nouveau Cheap

Above is a comparison from J.C. of the WnW 6-pan palette Vanity (permanent but discontinued)  vs. Melrose Face (limited edition Fall 2015) vs. Haute Hollywood (limited edition from Halloween 2014, but identical to the permanent 5-pan The Naked Truth).

image credit: J.C. for Nouveau Cheap

Above is a comparison from J.C. of Melrose Face (limited edition Fall 2015) vs.Vinyl Collection (limited edition from Spring 2015 Silverlake collection) vs. Girls Just Wanna Have Funds (limited edition Fall 2015).

image credit: J.C. for Nouveau Cheap

Above is a comparison from J.C. of the The Gal-lery Next Door  (limited edition Fall 2015) vs. Melrose at Night (limited edition from Fall 2014 collection) vs. Smoke and Melrose (limited edition from Fall 2014 collection).

And finally, J.C. shared a comparison of The Gal-lery Next Door (Fall 2015) vs. Thrift Store Chic (from the Spring 2015 Silverlake collection).

Whew! We made it. If you're still reading this post, congrats! I think this might be one of the longest, most detailed "spotted" posted I've done to date. I hope this helps you to determine what you might want from this collection if/when you spot it locally. Again, I'm willing to guess that we'll start to see this collection at CVS, Rite Aid, Walgreens and Kmart very soon. If you spot anything in this collection that was NOT featured in this post, you know I would absolutely love to hear from you!

Thanks so very, very much to readers SamanthaAnn92, Natalia, Lori, @Gam3rGurlXO, @florence__x, Amanda, and J.C., for the fantastic pics, info, and swatches. I truly appreciate it!

  1. I don't care if Thrift Shopahaulic is a dupe I'm still buying it for name alone! Great post as usual. I can't wait to find these near me.

    3. They're actually different enough that you can get away with owning both :) WNW did kinda miss the mark on the quality this season though... most of the shadows are chalky but hey! It's $4 and the names are too much fun to pass on! Hehe :)

  2. OOO I saw these but I wanted to look at swatches before grabbing one... The Gal-lery next door looks pretty! Same with the lipsticks!

  3. Wow! This post looks like it took you such a long time to compile...thank you so much! I will definitely be hunting for those lippies and the nail polishes! I never got any of the polish dupes, so I'm excited!

    1. Thank you so much for that, Megan. I've been working on this post for the last 24 hours (which is why it's my only post today) and I'm pretty delirious at this point! Lol!!

So glad you're getting another chance at those polishes....I know some people don't like repromotes, but I love it when those who missed them the first time get another chance at them. :)

    2. I couldn't agree more. I missed out on a lot from past lines so I'm a happy camper. Thanks so much for all your hard work. This was so details and super helpful.

  4. I cannot wait to get my hands on those lipsticks! I live for the Mega Last lipsticks (I own close to all of them) It's a good thing I live close to the border, so I can add them to my collection! Thank you for this awesome post! I wasn't expecting that many photos and swatches :D

And since you have some many Megalast lippies, I would LOVE to know what you think of these when you get them (and if you spot any dupes)! :)

    2. I'm assuming you must be in either Ontario or BC? I used to alternate between living in Ontario and Michigan and I always shopped in MI or NY. No wet and wild in Canada, at least I dont recall it. Have you tried the brushes? If yes, do you like them?

      Delete
    3. I do live in Ontario! And yes we do have Wet n Wild, but a very limited selection of the main line. I mostly find it Walmart or the Superstore but we never get the limited edition collections. The last limited edition collection I can remember seeing in Canada was the Christmas collection back two years ago. Other than that we do get the Halloween collections and they tend to pop up in Shoppers Drug Mart.
As for the brushes, I haven't tried them and only because my eyes are always drawn to the lipsticks and eyeshadow palettes :)

  5. If I didn't have a great olive green I'd be all up on that Moss Have It. As it stands I'm digging Girls...Funds because that dark ivy green looks fantastic (also somewhat like the green in No Neutral Ground, which was maybe holiday 2013 but alas broke on me ;_;.).

  6. I Moss have it looks like a must have polish!

  7. Ok, I'm definitely stalking all of my local Walgreen stores for this collection. Loving everything pictured!!

  8. Today was a little bit to warm and humid for San Diego, though after a beautifull sunset the night is cool and enjoyable. This only means one thing: fall is coming. And all the fall collections are coming with it.

Also, I'm going to stock up all that nail polish, thank you very much.

    ReplyDelete
  9. G, thanks for all the hard work!!! I have another picture for you that I will hashtag for you under sighting I have palettes pretty close to these if not identical.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Ahh, bless you. <3 I want those lipsticks so badly... the eyeshadows and polishes I can pass on this time, but I want those lipsticks. =( Especially vintage vibe. Coffee buzz looks like this really old (maybe 4 or 5 years?) WnW lipstick I still have... no idea what it's called, but it was a true brown!

    ReplyDelete
  11. I have all the Halloween polishes listed (Walgreens had the best selection by far, don't remember seeing them elsewhere) and these look REALLY similar, which is fab if you missed that collex. I must have Moss, (lol) it looks really unique!

  12. I wish Coming in Latte was part of it. I couldn't find that lipstick anywhere last fall.

  14. I'm definitely going to want a few things from this line. I can only hope to find it. I am still bitterly disappointed that I never got California Dreamin. I mention it in every post it seems so I bet you are sick of my whining. Lol. Anyway I must try to move on but I don't have faith that this will show up locally. Fingers crossed! Thanks for all the hard work you put into it!!!! Xo

    2. Lina have you tried Fred Meyers for Milani? not every Freds have them but if you have more than one in your city, one of them will usually have a Milani display. Sometimes you can find what one store doesn't have the other Freds in town will carry. :)

  22. What an awesome post! I literally kept checking your blog all day after seeing you post on Instagram. :o) Whew! That was crazy! I wish that I were more jazzed about this collection, but my main take away from it was "dang, I wish that I had tracked down the Vinyl Collection 6-pan from this summer!"

I'm definitely eyeing those Gal-lery Next Door and Girls Just Wanna Have Funds palettes (and now that I see them again, horribly disappointed that I never found the Silver Lake LE collection.... ) The I Moss Have It polish is a definite must!

  25. The entire collection at my RiteAid was sold out in one day except for the new lipliners which are really creamy and smooth and rivals all my high-end ones. Hope to find these elsewhere. Great post! Thank you.

  27. Oohhhh! New WnW stuff to look for!!! I am digging those lipsticks too.

    ReplyDelete
  28. The lipsticks have my attention, the eyeshadow palettes not so much... I think I'm going to wait for more swatches of the lipsticks since the darker shades look like Dark brown, I feel like Vintage Vibe looks like Urban Night from Fall 2014 (I'm still regretting not getting Bordeaux boulevard from that coleection) and Photobomb looks like Cherry Bomb from the permanent line, but if I wait they can sold out haha, oh the struggle...

    Thanks for the heads up!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Almost got I Moss Have It, but that brush is *wide*! Def a deal breaker for those of us with narrow nail beds

  30. For San Diego folks: the Bed Bath & Beyond in Mission Valley, DOES NOT carry Wet n Wild. I was there yesterday, and one of the employees mentioned that several people came in yesterday asking about it. So save yourself the trip! :-)

    Also, G--this post rocks!

  59. Your launch features are always so helpful! I make it a point to visit your blog before I make seasonal makeup purchases. It really bothers me that Wet n Wild re-releases palettes and lippies the way they do. I mean, they're not even trying to fool anyone, lol. I did end up purchasing all the lipstick of this collection and only a few worked for me after swatching or I realized I already had a similar color in my collection. I hope you never stop postign these detailed posts! -Ashley

And with the 40% off sale this week everything rang in at $5.95. Happiness.
