Spotted: NEW Olay Active Botanicals Skincare with Snow Mushroom

I've been hearing some buzz about this new skincare line from Olay for a few weeks now, so I'm excited to let you know that it's now hitting stores!

Thanks so much to longtime photo-contributor Tara (@taraaroth on Instagram) for this one:

(retail: $5.99 - $14.99)

Tara spotted this new line at Target this week and was nice enough to share some pics with us.

Keep reading for more pics and info...

The new Olay Active Botanicals line contains the following products (I'm most excited to try the Overnight Moisture Mask, since I'm all about sleeping masks these days):

  • Refreshing Gel Cleanser ($5.99)
  • Moisturizing Toner ($14.99)
  • Overnight Moisture Mask ($14.99)
  • Moisturizing Day Lotion ($14.99)
  • Intense Night Cream ($14.99)

So what is snow mushroom and why might it be beneficial in your skincare? Here you go:

Snow mushroom (which "grows on the snow line of high mountains across the globe") holds "500x its weight in water." You can read much more about it on the Olay website HERE. For a closer look at each product in this line, CLICK HERE

Have you seen the new Olay Active Botanicals line in your area yet? Thoughts?

Thanks again, Tara, for the great sighting and pics!

  1. Thanks for posting links. I checked out the ingredients. Might try the day lotion at night or under strong SPF. The cleanser and toner list menthol as an ingredient, so those may be a pass for me. I just love Olay Foaming Face Wash. Love it so much I often fill my liquid soap dispenser with it.

  2. I got the face cleanser for testing from Influenster. It's pretty good....
It's kind of funny because one of the tasks you can do to earn a badge is take a picture with a friend at the Target display. XD

  3. I'm using the Day Lotion and Toner from the August Target Beauty Box. After using the lotion at night, my skin does feel plump and smooth in the morning. If I didn't already have a HG lotion, I'd consider buying it.

Also, looks like you currently get a $5 gift card with purchase.

  4. A few of these samples came in the last Target beauty box. I got the toner and lotion and I love the scent, even though I am not one for scented skincare. They were very gentle and didn't break me out.

  5. I got a couple of these in my last Ipsy box but haven't tried them yet.

  6. There were samples of the day moisturizer and toner in the latest beauty box from Target!

  7. I'm loving the toner from the Target beauty box. The day lotion was fine--not good enough to replace my beloved CeraVe, though. I'm really considering buying the toner. It's gentle, I like the smell, non-irritating, and it really takes off the last traces of my makeup. I double cleanse and there's always still a little grime on the cotton ball when I use the toner!

  8. I have the day lotion, the toner, and the gel cleanser. However, I either have an allergy to the snow mushroom or this is not good for sensitive skin. I ended up giving all three to my sister how has fairly tough skin & no allergies and she likes it fairly well, but said it's nothing special.

  9. I just spotted this line at Target in Niagara Falls this past Wednesday. Haven't seen anything on the line in Canada, but then again, I missed the Fall media preview because I was out of town. I picked up the toner (a first for Olay) and the tiny trial-size of the moisturizer. (I'd trekked down to pick up a Pixi Glow Tonic, which we'll never get here, but doh -- EMPTY SHELF.) xo
