Unboxing: Sephora Favorites Bronze Bares All Set

So you know I had to order this set the moment I posted about it finally being available online. This is my third post about it to date but if you missed the previous two, this is a new Sephora Favorites "sampler" set that is now available both in-store and online at Sephora (not at Sephora inside JCPenney stores).

Sephora Favorites Bronze Bares All Set
(retail: $39)

I received my order two days ago and I wanted to do an unboxing as quickly as possibly while this set is still available on the Sephora site. Due to the nature of the products in this set, I have a feeling it's going to sell out, so even though I haven't had a chance to dig in and use any of these products yet, I wanted to show you some pics. I hope that by giving you some perspective on the size of these products, you'll be able to determine whether or not you'd like to order (that is, if you haven't purchased it already!). So let's get to it...

This set is packaged in a little "treasure chest" type of box, with a flip-top lid. So cute--I love how the products look like they're floating in water.

The box itself comes sealed on both sides, but peeling the tape doesn't ruin the packaging, since the finish on the box is matte.

Items in BOLD are full-size:

- 0.085 oz Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Opal

- 0.05 oz Bite Beauty High Pigment Pencil in Madeira

- 0.13 oz Formula X Nail Color in Evocative

- 0.18 oz Nars Cosmetics Lip Gloss in Supervixen (retail: $26)

- 0.04 oz Sephora Collection Contour Eye Pencil 12 Hour Wear in #14 (retail: $10)

- 0.06 oz Tarte The Sculptor Contouring Face Slenderizer in Park Ave Princess

- 0.08 oz Too Faced Cosmetics Chocolate Soleil Bronzer

- 0.05 oz Urban Decay Split Pan Eyeshadow in Half Baked/Twice Baked ($18)

If you add up the price of just the three full-size items in this set, it comes out to $54. So getting everything here for $39 is indeed an excellent value. Beside that, there are some products here that have been getting lots of buzz in the beauty community (specifically, the Becca highlighter and Bite pencil), so this is a great way to try these products at a more affordable price. The full-size Becca highlighter retails for basically the price of this entire set ($38), so if you wanted to give this a test-drive before purchasing a full-size compact, this is a great way to do it.

I also love that when you remove the clear plastic packaging inside this box, you can use the box to store pens and pencils, crafting supplies, more makeup...whatever you want.

More photos:

Here's the Formula X polish next to a full-size polish, for size perspective.

And here are all the pencils and tubes, next to a Milani lipstick, for size perspective.

Tarte The Sculptor Contouring Face Slenderizer in Park Ave Princess

This is the tube fully extended. As you can see, you don't get too much product here, but it's certainly enough to give you an idea as to whether or not you might like to purchase a full-size pencil. You should be able to get multiple applications from this sample.

Bite Beauty High Pigment Pencil in Madeira

This is the tube fully extended. In person, I would say there's a little under an inch of product here. Certainly enough for multiple uses.

Sephora Collection Contour Eye Pencil 12 Hour Wear in #14

This is a full-size pencil that requires sharpening. This formula is waterproof (per the label) and the color is a rich chocolate brown with iridescent sparkle.

Nars Cosmetics Lip Gloss in Supervixen

This is a full-size tube of lipgloss. The color is bronze with a pink undertone and it is very shimmery and sparkly.

I stuck a Maybelline Color Tattoo in these photos just to give you some size perspective.

Urban Decay Split Pan Eyeshadow in Half Baked/Twice Baked

This is a full-size pan (single UD shadows are 0.5 oz. and that's the size of this pan as well). You're probably familiar with both of these shades already but if not, Half Baked is a golden shimmer and Twice Baked is a rich chocolate brown shimmer.

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Opal

Opal is a shimmery champagne highlighter. I'm extremely excited to try this one.

Too Faced Cosmetics Chocolate Soleil Bronzer

This bronzer is part of the Too Faced family of products that are made with real cocoa powder, so just like the Chocolate Bar palettes, this matte bronzer smells like chocolate (and it's awesome).

My only complaint here is that I wish this deluxe sample came in a regular compact. I dislike this packaging and I believe I've had a deluxe sample in the past that came in an actual hard plastic compact, so I really wish we would have gotten that here. This packaging is made of very thin poster board, and the inside is plastic. When the two parts close, the plastic rubs against itself and it sticks like crazy, making it extremely difficult to open. It's just bad packaging design, if you ask me, but the product itself is very nice. I love this bronzer.

I hope this unboxing gives you a better idea of what you can expect if you purchase this set. In my opinion, this is definitely worth $39, and if you have room in your budget I would suggest purchasing (while you still can) if you think the colors here might work for your particular skintone.

BONUS FREEBIE:

If you're ordering at least $25 worth of product on the Sephora site, you can enter code FRESHLIPS at checkout for your choice of one of these:

Deluxe samples:
Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment SPF 15
Fresh Sugar Advanced Therapy Lip Treatment
(0.07 oz. each)

I don't know when this code expires, but I used it once last month (for the regular lip treatment) and again just last week when I ordered the Bronze Bares All set, for the advanced lip treatment.

As you probably know, Fresh Sugar Lip Balms are quite expensive, so this is a great way to try out these formulas for free. You get your choice of one or the other, and you can select at checkout after you enter code FRESHLIPS.

The tubes are just like the full-size versions--they are made of hard metal, with a screw-top lid. I love that they didn't skimp on that with these samples.

You get a full inch of product in these tubes, which is definitely enough for multiple uses (and enough to determine which formula you prefer).

I hope that helps, and I would love to know what you think of the Bronze Bares All set if you already own it!

  3. Wow. I wish I had used that code instead of what I used.
I agree with you on the packaging of the Too Faced bronzer. What were they thinking?
I already own the Becca highlighter in both Opal & Moonstone & love both.
If you use mrrebates they were doing 7% cashback the other day.
Thanks for the heads up on this G. I love mine! ❤️❤️

  4. I got mine Friday G and I look forward to doing my whole look with it today. I wore the lip gloss last night and was happy that it is fairly well pigmented. The Becca highlighter feels like silk! I caught a chocolate scent when I opened the box from the bronzer which I loved. Also I feel like the box is a little treasure chest and will be keeping it! Thanks for the heads up on this!

  6. Looks really nice. I received mine yesterday and am heading out on vacation so tossed it in my suitcase....will get to play later. :-). I'm such a novice with bronzers.

Wish I knew about the sugar fresh samples! Hmm...would have gotten that instead of the perfume samples!

Love how you out the size comparisons up. Thanks!

  11. This is literally in my cart right now! Is the Too Faced bronzer in milk chocolate (light to medium) or chocolate (medium/deep)? It doesn't specify on sephora.com. Thanks!

  12. Yes! I jumped on this set this morning! Being the lip junkie that I am, I am excited for the full sized nars lip gloss. The set over all is nice, great value.

  13. I so agree on the bronzer packaging- in fact with that fab JC Penney summer set that I scored thanks to reading about it HERE-the very same soleil bronzer sample was in a really cute compact that almost looked like an oreo. I was surprised this one was so flimsy and cheap. Still this set is AWESOME. I have see some great You Tubes using a look from all the products. Today Sephora was 16% eBates so hope some readers scored two ways :-)
