The Lipstick League - Week of 5.11.15

The Lipstick League Question of the Week

What’s your current favorite nail trend?

G's answer: My favorite nail trend has been the same for a few years now. I LOVE negative space manicures and I'm so happy that this trend doesn't seem to be going away any time soon. In fact, I keep seeing more and more cool ways to use negative space these days! You know, I just did a search on my blog and I can't believe the last time I did a negative space mani was in this Jordana nail polish post (a negative space dotticure). And I still love the negative space dotticure I did back in 2013 using all Sinful Colors polishes. I really need to do another one, STAT.

  1. I like to paint my ring fingers a complimentary color to the color that's on the rest if my fingers and I love glitter topcoats.

  2. I have no idea if it's a trend, but I'm loving contrasting glitter tips lately.. like a french but with glitter. Easy, doesn't require any of the precision of a regular french, gives bling without having to deal with as much glitter at removal time, hides tip wear.

  3. Ah I totally forgot about doing negative space manicures! I just painted my nails clear for a concert and I was looking for an easy and quick way to make them more fun. The dots are perfect!

  4. I still like an accent nail, or an ombre look. Negative space is cool, too. I want to do a negative space look, but my nails are a bit stained from wearing polish so much, even though I use base coats.

  5. MAC is a cruel company? Oh dear....
